An interesting story about falling in love with beautiful drawings. I liked that the first volume is quite intense. It reminds me «Villains are destined to die”.

Ailette is the prodigy child in a noble's estate. Her father thinks she's destined to become an alchemist, The head chef wants her to become her apprentice. And the head maid thinks Ailette should be serving tea at the palace. It wasn't always like this though. Ailette's original fate was to mysteriously vanish after a demon attack, never to be seen again. That would have happened too if the gods hadn't discovered transmigration stories and Ailette's original self hadn't bought the ultra deluxe transmigration life insurance policy upon her death. Now Ailette is stuck in an S class transmigration world where everything exists inside a time loop. She must use her skills to keep herself and her companions alive.

The first volume of Being an S-Class Heroine is a great, slightly satiric transmigration story. If you are a fan of isekais, reincarnation stories, manga in which truck san sends the main character off into a new adventure, etc then you will probably love this. The art is great and the story is very self aware of what it is. The quality of the physical edition is also really good, which takes the sting out the inevitable higher price of these physically published manhua/webtoons.

A really cute start to an isekai! I really liked the concept of how she gets transported to the other world. It will be a really cute series!

I enjoy colour mangas and the art in this one is as in the cover - detailed, smooth, clear and expressive.
The concept of life insurance crosses RPG and being able to purchase skills is highly interesting.
Our protagonist is cute and curious, and the plot is dense with obstacles; mostly created by evil characters.
I am looking forward to the next volume especially because the pacing of this volume is not 100% for me as it establishes the concept and the characters.
All in all, a very cute, engaging and fun manga series installment.

Clean read.
This is hilarious concept for transmitting.
I read a lot of manwhas in this genre, this author has done an excellent job creating a unique story.
Love that we still get the cliche story but with a twist, love the scene for doll playtime.
I can’t wait to read volume 2.
This female lead in kid form is gonna be a master of everything before she’s 20.

How many times have we seen the typical scene where our protagonist is crossing the street and suddenly they get hit by a truck that takes them directly to their new life in a novel/game/manga/etc.? A thousand time, but how many of those times do we see our protagonist manage to buy life insurance that ensures they have a successful new life in the world they are reincarnated in?
Well, that's how our story begins, with our protagonist being taken via truck straight to the lobby where the new lives of the transmigrators are assigned. When they ask her what gender she wants, she without hesitation chooses child care, because her dream is to have a loving family and to be adored and pampered, something she couldn't enjoy in her life, so she is terribly upset when she ends up being reincarnated in the novel that is not only fantasy and very grim, but it is the one that had horrible reviews for having a horrible ending in which everyone basically dies. So now that she's Ailette Rodeline, an extra in that novel, she's going to use all the benefits of the life insurance they gave her to be able to survive this hellish novel no matter what, so she starts buying all the skills she can to be able to leave the tutorial with enough level to survive this hellish story.

I absolutely LOVED this manhwa, it's not only fun and interesting in how the story plays out but the art is su adorable, bright and lovely. It really is the full package for anyone that loves fantasy and isekai-like stories.

This book is perfect for fans of The Strongest Florist and The First Night With the Duke! My only complaint is that it ended too soon 😭
The art work was super cute, the charecters are likeable and the world building is pretty easy to follow.

This was the most inventive, entertaining and hilarious transmigration story I’ve read to date! The main character is smart, adorable and willing to do whatever it takes to acquire the skills necessary to survive.

I loved the concept of Allie being able to communicate with the TM Gods. I’m hoping we’ll get to see her interact with more in the future. I also loved that she could see screens giving her information about where she was, the skills she acquired and the shop ability. It was just super creative!

I blasted through this super quickly and I cannot wait for the next volume! Highly recommend!

First of all, thank you NetGalley and Yen Press for this awesome ARC of The Perks of Being an S-Class Heroine Vol. 1. I've seen this a lot online but I haven't read it yet because I read more of a romance or action packed manhwas and mangas. But not on this one, the art style was cute and it was an easy read. I also love how comedic Allie is also her friendship with Bia, though her brother and father were only give small screen time. I'm excited for the second volume already!

This was such a fun surprise! There are a lot of isekai manga that follow the premise of being reborn into a video game/visual novel world, but I like the twists that this makes on the genre. Definitely a fresh spin that made me more interested in continuing the series after this volume. I loved the character design, and the illustrations themselves are gorgeous as well. Definitely worth the read, I'd recommend it to anyone who is a fan of comedy/fantasy manga!

Our heroine meets an untimely death but received a message just before asking her if she wanted to purchase the full insurance package for her transmigration journey. Once in the afterlife, she is asked what kind of story she wanted to be placed in, and she asked for a childcare fantasy, but she gets an S-class novel instead! Rather than live out her afterlife in relative ease compared to the hardships she endured in her first life, she’s now stuck as Ailette, an energetic child of an alchemist serving a noble household. Thankfully, she thought to partake in the full insurance package, so can purchase skills such as cooking, alchemy, fighting, and impress everyone into thinking she's a child prodigy, all to help her navigate her difficult storyline!
This was quite the twisted set up to get to a Regressor reincarnation story, but once the main story started, it was pretty entertaining. There are RPG elements like Solo Leveling where the main character can buy items from a shop and has an inventory. But she can also interact with the “creators” who transmigrated her to this storyline, which adds a comical layer and provides an interesting running commentary on her actions as well as their own. They judge each other and Ailette is sometimes able to use them against each other to get her way.

IZE Press rates this for Teen, and volume one would be suitable for middle school and high school audiences.

In this book, people are mysteriously dying, yet in the afterlife, they have the option to transmigrate to a new world with varying genres. The main character asks to be put into a childcare romantasy, but is put into the hardest ranked story. With the help of a lot of money, an omnipotent god, and new skills, the main character must journey into the new world and survive.

There were so many aspects of this book that I enjoyed. First was the crazy shop that allowed the main character to buy buffs for herself which was hilarious. I can’t wait to see what new skills she unlocks. I like that she could see her EXP levels increase throughout the book.

I also adore the omnipotent god that is more like a nosy neighbor. The fact that the structure of the gods is like a corporate company was very funny. I was laughing at the amount of work that was thrown to some poor intern. I enjoy stories where there is a game operator that the main character can talk to.

I am really excited to continue with this series and I hope that more of it will come out soon!

The art in this graphic novel is THE best! It’s perfect for the story and it’s so well done!
The storyline is great too, it’s a mix of magic and paranormal, and mystery, and then there is the most awesome female MC who is such a well-written and well-told hero.

I love this story so much, I think I've read it two or three times already! I originally picked it up on the app Tapas, but I was thrilled to get the ARC from NetGalley so I could read it all at once. Ailette's story is so interesting and refreshing, a new take on the popular reincarnation trope with a unique twist. She's loveable and clever, and you can't help rooting for as she tries to save the world, her family, and herself. The worldbuilding is intense but easy to follow with lots of interesting characters, villains, and world history to give it a really fleshed-out feeling. I'm so excited for volume two, and can't wait to see where the story goes!

Summary:

Aliette Rodeline is not the name she was born with, but thanks to her untimely death, it's the name she now has! Luckily for Aliette, she invested in this weird afterlife package before she died, so she was able to set herself up quite nicely in the next life.

Now, she's becoming a prodigy, which might just give her the chance to turn her life around. For she knows that, without a change, her second life will be doomed to an early demise. After all, she's read this book, and her character was dead before the events began!

Review:

I love diving into new fantasies, and lately, I've been on an isekai kick. Thus, I was happy to find The Perks of Being an S-Class Heroine Vol. 1. I've actually read a bit of this one already (on Tapas, I believe), but it was nice to have a whole volume in my hands.

Like a lot of isekai (that I've been reading, at least), Aliette's previous life was tragic, even before she had that final tragedy. So this is more than a second life – it's a second chance. Her story has the potential to get superpowered, which could be great, or it could possibly go overboard. Only time will tell on that front.

I really enjoyed seeing the early adventures in this new world for Aliette, especially pertaining to her family and the small drams she's faced thus far. It'll be interesting to see what happens next.

Will I continue the series? Yes

This full color graphic novel with the most gorgeous illustrations, made it to my favorites so fast!!! Thank you so much Yen Press, Ize Press and NetGalley for allowing me to read and review The Perks of Being an S-Class Heroine!!! This is a series I will be buying physical copies of too, it’s just too good and too beautiful!! I can’t wait to read the next volume which releases in August! I’m even excited just to write this review about it xd so yeah definitely a favorite I really enjoyed reading <3!

Something strange is going on in the real world.. Because of an error (the Gods are hilarious by the way and gave me Good Omens vibes!), the Gods who create new worlds, are making people’s souls transmigrate to these worlds too soon.. We follow a beautiful, smart and strong pink haired girl called Ailette, who used to be a woman with an awful life :’(, when she ends up in one of these worlds. I honestly got a little emotional when I saw her finally having a loving family there <3. She’s the daughter of a servant (an alchemist) at a mansion but ooofff there are some awful characters there too.. Like some of the other servants and the Duke’s son. And there are mysteries (like how can she help the actual protagonist to save the world :o) and there also might be a dungeon with demons developing under the mansion... The daughter of the duke was great tho, she reminded me of Wednesday!! Ailette does get some skills from the Gods which make her popular with some and envied/hated by others and she might also accidentally start a religion :’D worshipping one of the funny Gods. Okay I think I told enough. This is a strong, funny and super engaging story in the most beautiful packaging!

Thank you to Netgalley for allowing me to read a digital copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. This is my first time reading an isekai manhwa. I ended up really enjoying it. The main character was funny and relatable and the story was clever. Can't wait to read more of this series and get to know more of the characters!

. ݁₊ ⊹ . ݁ ⟡ ݁ . ⊹ ₊ ݁.Thank you to NetGalley for providing me with an e-ARC for early review.. ݁₊ ⊹ . ݁ ⟡ ݁ . ⊹ ₊ ݁.

Something about this just clicked for me. The art of beautiful, the humour is funny, but there's a real spark of soul here that can't be denied.

I requested The Perks of Being an S-Class Heroine, Vol. 1 on the off chance that it would be something short and sweet I could consume quickly. Really genuinely wasn't expecting to be hungry for a second volume and to have my heart actually ache over this goofy concept.

It's another isekai, yeah. In a time where we're all thinking "another isekai," this one really does do something neat with the idea. Main character dies. Insurance corgi offers her a chance to choose where to spend her afterlife. That choice is immediately denied and she is sent into the body of a pink-haired child who is totally destined to die immediately.

But she doesn't.

This is a grown woman, with the experience earned living a real life, dying too young, with so much potential and energy left to give. And she's got the highest possible insurance package, which basically means she has cheat codes for her story. Power ups, skill trees, quest rewards, you name it. And she's genuinely determined to make something of this world she's been placed in. Even if she has to start out as a little kid. She'll be a child prodigy, then, working to help her family and make strong friendships for herself.

Really, go give this a try. It's great.

⬇️very minor spoilers from first chapter⬇️

Firstly, the reviews for this one are overwhelmingly positive, and I absolutely agree that the artwork is beautiful. This will most likely be a glossy print, lol. And of course, thanks to NetGalley and Yen/IZE Press for the eARC ~

After dying, she gets sent to the transmigration waiting room and picks “childcare romantasy novel” as her genre, thinking that’ll be the easiest. I mean, are we reading the same genres?? Doesn’t that usually mean she’s going to get abused for years by some evil count or something? The obvious answer is comforting the cursed/warlord/traumatized duke of the north. At least she got insurance, I guess. 🤷‍♀️

Regardless of her questionable transmigration genre choices, I did really enjoy her character. This story isn’t particularly unique compared to other transmigration novels; however, what sets it apart is that it’s just well done. From the humor, art, dialogue, translation, and more—everything is executed beautifully.

After I finished reading, I really wanted the next volume. It’s not like it ended on some huge cliffhanger; it was just weirdly addicting.

Although this isn’t my favorite genre, it is indeed the perfect gift for my sister. This is the perfect book for younger kids interested in manhwa/manga. It says recommended for 13+, and I think that’s accurate.

The art and writing in this book gives a hilarious tone to the story, while also touching on darker topics, such as the protagonist suffering from abuse at the hands of family members during her childhood. She's given another chance at life, but this time with some extra perks! I love the depiction of the Transmigration Staff "gods" as little pop-up boxes in a game, as it adds to the atmosphere.
