Thank you to NetGalley and Indie Inked for providing me with a copy of this egalley to read and give an honest review. The opinions expressed here are my own.
I really enjoyed the first book in this series; gave it 4 stars. So I was excited to pick up the next book and see where the story would go!
Once again Leigh did a fantastic job with her writing. She really has a way with words and drawing you into the story. The pacing keeps you wanting to read (I would call this medium paced) and her story is engaging.
Her characters continue to be relatable. Caleb continues to be one of my all time book boyfriends. It's so hard to write high school aged kids but he really does come across as your typical teen. He has a. ton of compassion and you can tell his attraction and love for Gia is real. I do see a bit of holding back from both in this story. Like they are just not sure they can fully trust each other quite yet.
Of course their relationship is plagued by people who want to break them down. The plot thickens with how they will take on the challenges they encounter and move forward to happiness.
Overall, I was very happy with this installment, and I'm looking forward to seeing where things go!
