A cute idea, using simple two line rhymes to introduce each different type of truck and it's job. I liked the use of animals utilizing the trucks, but the illustrations lacked finesse and frequently the size and perspective was off.
‘Keep Trucking’ by Raven Howell is a children's book designed to introduce young readers to the world of trucks. While it may lack a traditional plot and character development, it compensates with engaging illustrations and a focus on the interests of truck-loving kids.
Plot: ★★☆☆☆
The plot of ‘Keep Trucking’ is minimal, primarily serving to showcase different types of trucks to young readers. While it may not offer a traditional storyline, it provides a simple and direct way for children to learn about various trucks, making it more of an educational tool than a narrative-driven book.
Character: ★★☆☆☆
There aren't any real characters in this book. The focus is entirely on the trucks themselves, which are depicted with personality through illustrations. However, without human or animal characters to connect with, it may be harder for some children to engage on a deeper emotional level.

The illustrations are cute and colourful, though they might feel a bit dated for a recently published book. Despite this, the artwork effectively captures the essence of different trucks, which is sure to appeal to young truck enthusiasts.

I had so much fun reading this book, the story is so adorable and the illustrations were so well done and charming, there’s so many little details in every page that I couldn’t stop but be mesmerized by it all. I will definitely be recommending it! Thank you netgalley and the publisher for this early copy
This book looks at various types of trucks and what they do. It has a simple rhyming pattern and is a very simple book. The story isn’t the greatest, but the illustrations are fun. Some pages are better than others which puts this book steadily in the middle. I’m not sure it’s one of those books that would be picked up frequently unless you happen to own it. Especially if the truck book bin also contains Good Night Good night construction site.
I know kids love things that go and all things transportation! They will love seeing each vehicle and all the things they do. The cute animals are a nice touch, as they fill the town and the roles on each page.
I love the ending where we see the most special vehicle. Grandpa’s truck. Very sweet.
Keep Trucking is a super cute picture book featuring all kinds of trucks. Little ones will enjoy looking at the colourful illustrations while learning about all of the many different trucks. It is a perfect story for the truck lover in your life!
A really cute book about all kinds of trucks!
The book is very nicely illustrated and the text is suitable for young toddlers, I'd say 2-4 years old. My 5 year old also enjoyed the book, but i felt like the writing style was already too "young" for him.
The text is written in rhymes, which makes it fun. However, i felt like the rhymes were sometimes a bit forced and the author could have paid a bit more attention to meter, which would have made the text really great.
Overall, I'd give the book 4 stars: fun but could be better.
Thank you to AM Ink Publishing and Netgalley for the opportunity to read and review this book for my students. This is an excellent book for teaching rhyming and articulation skills. I think this book is perfect to supplement with some play-based activities. Overall, highly recommend. 5 out of 5 stars
An adorable story for my truck and car loving little one. My 4 year old is obsessed with trucks and what they do . This fun story tells us what the trucks are called, what work they do and where we can find them. Along with fun animal characters and some silly moments we get to discover a variety of trucks. The illustrations are fun and playful with bright colors and pictures that keep your child involved in what they see. We love the silliness like the crane lifting a hippo. This is one we have to read over and over, we love it so much. We received this as an ebook ARC but had to add it to our home library. It became a fast favorite in our home. It would also be perfect to add to an early childhood classroom. Possibilities are endless.
My nephew is really interested in trucks and other vehicles at the moment so I can't wait to show him this. It's a fun story with lovely artwork, perfect for young kids
This was a sweet read. I read it to my 4 and 6 year old but I think it would probably be better for younger ages (4 max).
It has a nice rhyme about trucks on each page and introduces lots of different trucks and their functions. The illustrations are nice and the ending is cute.
A fun book about all of the different types of truck and their uses. I loved the illustrations. I will definitely be getting this book for my son.

This is an adorable book for little ones who like animals and trucks. The illustrations are adorable and will fascinate little ones and adults too. This is the perfect bedtime story.
Thank you Netgalley and publishers for the ARC in exchange of an honest review.
This is a Children's book that I read to my twin boys. My husband is a truck driver, and that is why I wanted to read this book to my boys. I found this book to be ok, but I was hoping for more. This was a very simple book. The pictures were ok. I received an ARC of this book. This review is my own honest opinion about the book like all my reviews are.
Quite a decent little read, showing anthropomorphised animals using human trucks – the refrigerated food delivery trucks, farm vehicles, fire engines – and giving a quaint little surprise beat to close. It's not fabulous, but the rhyming couplets that tell us about the vehicles and the action in the full-spread visuals certainly go some way to nudge this towards four star status.
A cute book full of animals and trucks. The artwork is wonderful, but each page is stand alone without a story tying them together. My toddler lost interest before we could get half way through.
Thank you to NetGalley for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.
Our family has read just about every truck book there is, but we haven't see one with such cute illustrations! My daughter who isn't as into trucks as her brothers are, really enjoyed reading this one because she could look at the animals, so it was a great book for our whole family! I enjoyed reading it aloud with the rhyming text and the boys loved seeing all their favorite trucks!
𝗞𝗘𝗘𝗣 𝗧𝗥𝗨𝗖𝗞𝗜𝗡𝗚 is an adorable read that little boys and girls will enjoy. The story depicts and explains various types of trucks and their uses. The illustrations are simple and cute, each blurb easy to read, understand and remember. A definite must add to any school library.
