I FINALLY got around to reading this book and I'm so glad I did! I've always been fascinated by mythology and the legends surrounding The Iliad, the Fall of Troy and 'The Face that Launched a Thousand Ships'. This book discussed the Trojan War in such a concise way but still managed to convey the tale in such an interesting and intriguing way. I've read a number of these Myths and Legends books and each time I'm amazed at the detailed and varied illustrations included in the book. The information included ranges from the mythological side of the tale with Zeus but also a more plausible historical account of events. The information regarding Achilles' heel was extremely interesting. Yes, at times it seemed to jump from narrative to narrative and seeing as it was condensed into around 80 pages, some of the information isn't discussed too much in detail at time. But overall I thoroughly enjoyed this book and I believe it would be a great bit of starter material for anyone interested in finding out more about the Trojan War. It definitely fed my enthusiasm for the subject!
