Jill Shalvis can do no wrong, IMO. I love her ordinary Jane heroines and her overprotective but non-asshole heroes. Reading a Shalvis novel is like slipping into my favorite PJs. She always, always delivers.

Another wonderful, fun, quirky, light, quick read from Jill Shalvis' Lucky Harbor series. I love reading this series. While Ben is not my favorite of all her hunks, he is still certainly enjoyable. I love how much he was taken by the twins and how he worked so hard to give them what they deserved. I also thought it was fun that we never learned Pink's real name. I admired Aubrey for her attempt to right the wrongs in her past. That was brave. It broke my heart the way the family was split and then her memories of the dollhouse! Although you could see it coming that Ben was going to build the dollhouse for her, it didn't diminish the fact that he did it! I do wish there had been a little bit more dialogue between Ben and Audrey in regards to it.

Once again, I started a Shalvis book and didn't want to stop! That's always a good sign!

Review from 2013:

First, I'd like to state that I did get an early copy of this book for being one of "Jill's Bookaholics", but the review is still my honest opinion. However, I love Jill's books & this one did not disappoint! As a Lucky Harbor series fan, I couldn't wait for Ben & Aubrey's story! I loved the story & I think it's my new favorite! Reasons: 1) The chemistry was fantastic! 2) I really liked how Aubrey "grew up" in this book - she's not the same person we met in It Had To Be You. 3) Ben's background & broodiness & how he overcame his issues. 4) Loved how everyone rallied for Aubrey in the end. 5) So many sweet, fun, & sexy moments! All in all, a fantastic read!

Thanks to Jill Shalvis, Grand Central Publishing, & Netgalley for giving the opportunity for an early read!! Loved it!!
