Falon Ballard had turned into a must read author for me! This delightful holiday romance confirmed it for me. :)

I was so excited when I saw Falon Ballard was coming out with a holiday romcom and this one did not disappoint! It had everything you love in her books plus holiday cheer. If you love second chances, only one bed, forced proximity, and books about authors then I highly recommend this one!

I think I will always love reading Falon's books. She has a way of writing that makes me feel giddy and warm inside. And this book was no exception. It was an interesting concept and I liked the arc of the plot. It was kind of sad at times, I felt bad for Jess and at times didn't love Nick's behavior/reaction to things. But they had a solid connection. Some angst and lots of sexual tension. Overall an easy, fun read.

Thank you to NetGalley and Penguin Group Putnam for an arc of this novel.

Jessica’s new book is slow going. Slow going as in, not going at all. So when her publisher asks her to introduce Nick at the awards ceremony, she knows she needs to stay in their good graces. Unfortunately for her, Nick happens to be the man that broke her heart. It can’t get worse…until the hotel loses her room reservation, and a massive storm keeps them snowed in for days with no end in sight…

This was the perfect cozy holiday read! I wasn’t exactly ready for a Christmas book, but this was still such a fun read! I didn’t love why Nick had ended things with Jess to begin with, but I still loved their relationship and the chemistry between them! I thought how things played out with both of their works in progress was the best and I really loved how it all ended up!

Thank you to @putnambooks for my gifted copy of this book!

Thanks so much to PRH Audio and NetGalley for giving me early access to the digital and audiobook of All I Want Is You! This is another slam dunk from Fallon Ballard. I truly love her voice and the characters she creates!

With it being a “short and sweet” novel, as the author describes it, there is so much packed inside! Literally every great romance novel trope—enemies to lovers, second chance romance, forced proximity, one bed…you name it! Plus have it take place in a Hallmark-picturesque holiday lodge…and we’ve got a winner on our hands!

This definitely has some spice…it was right on the border of possibly too much for me, but also you know when it’s coming and it’s easy to move past it if needed.

Honestly this was a perfectly delightful holiday read! And if you listen to the audiobook, the two narrators are amazing and I loved their natural banter between chapters! Grab this one for your holiday reading enjoyment!

This is the perfect little Christmas book! Cozy, warm fuzzies, fairly low stakes, and fun!

I read this in one sitting last night and I couldn’t get enough!

A sweet and light holiday romance that lovers of classic seasonal rom-coms are sure to enjoy. Plus all the best tropes are included: second chance, enemies-to-lovers...what more could you want?! So much fun !

This short story lived up to my expectations, with all the tropes one might desire in a holiday romance—angst, second chances, flashbacks, regrets, etc. My favorite method of telling stories is using two points of view, which gives the reader insight into the motivations behind the characters' feelings and actions. I particularly enjoyed the text-based banter between Jessica and her friends and between Jessica and Nick. Characters in All I Want Is You drew you in and gave you hope that they may reunite and find forgiveness. It was such a wonderful story. Every detail is significant, and the way past information are interwoven into the present day plot demonstrates to the reader that the author has taken the time to develop a thoughtful story.

All I Want Is You is a cute and delightful holiday themed romcom! With elements of second chance romance, enemies-to-lovers, forced proximity, one bed, and workplace romance, it tells the story of Jess and Nick and their romance writer world. I enjoyed the way their stories converged, but the conflict didn't feel. substantial enough. However, this checked the boxes for a fun perspective on holiday romance, and I recommend it, especially if you have enjoyed Falon Ballard's books in the past.

Thank you to Putnam Books for gifting me with an ARC to review! All opinions are my own.

All I Want is You is a perfectly fine Holiday romance novel. The main characters are fairly likable, there are lots of references to all things winter and Christmas, and there is enough steam to keep the average romance reader happy. The story is fairly easy to read and is relatively short so it makes it an easy read to get you in the spirit for the Holidays if that’s what you’re looking for.

I realize that the way I am describing this book isn’t that exciting, and to a degree I don’t know if that’s super fair because I did think it was a cute book and I didn’t have any trouble getting through it at all, but after finishing it I was left thinking it was an ok read. There wasn’t much that really stood out to me to really rave about (or complain about). The conflict was pretty mundane, the chemistry between the main characters was there but not overwhelming, and the ending was basically what I expected. These are the hardest reviews to write because anyone who picks up this book will probably like it, but I can’t be sure you’ll remember it a few weeks after reading.

**Thank you to Penguin Putnam and NetGalley for the advanced copy of this book in exchange for my honest opinion. I appreciate the opportunity!**

🎄I know it’s early, but I always love a good holiday read! This one really puts you in the Christmas spirit.

📚Two romance writers have a second chance romance when they get snowed in.

🎄I loved how the flashbacks to their first chance kept you hooked as it was a slow reveal of their past.

📚I don’t love a miscommunication trope, but I appreciated the kind of different spin on that trope.

🎄This was a very festive read and should definitely be on your list this holiday season!

📚This was a spicy read 🌶️

All I Want Is You has everything I love about a Christmas romance and I can't help but smiling while thinking about it. This book is filled with holiday cheer. I mean how can it not be when our main character, Jessica loves Christmas as much as I seem to. Add in some great banter and tropes I love, and you have me hooked.

Jessica is a romance writer and needs these HEA moments after her relationship ended badly. To make matters worse her ex, Nick, is also a romance writer and his career has been more successful than hers has. They're contracted by the same publishers, so when she's asked to give a speech at a holiday ball when Nick receives an award, she really doesn't want to. Jessica knows this could be good for her career, so she does. If only the evening didn't end up with being snowed in and the booking of her room going wrong.

We get forced proximity, banter, some spicy scenes, and two characters who still clearly love each other. I loved that we get a few glimpses of different Christmases they spent together. It's clear that their relationship ending was partially caused by miscommunication. I have a feeling if they had just sat down and talked they could've saved a lot of hurt. I loved them getting closer again and the tension between them just jumped off the page. I loved that both of them were authors and only seemed to be able to work on anything when they got worked up by the other. The grand gesture at the end of the book melted my heart, and I was so sad when I had read the final page.

If you're looking for a great holiday romance that will make you laugh and hit you in all the feels, I highly suggest All I Want Is You. It's the perfect book to curl up with by the Christmas tree and a warm beverage. I could keep talking about how much I loved this book!

I've been a Falon Ballard fan since reading Lease on Love, and All I Want Is You is another fun read. Writer Jessica is gets snowed in at a publishing house retreat and is forced to share a bedroom with her ex, fellow writer Nick... for several days! The tension and chemistry between Jessica and Nick is palpable, and I can't wait to read whatever Falon publishes next!

Nick and Jess started out as romance writers at the same time. They wrote their first books at the same time, signed with the same publisher, and were madly in love. Until suddenly their fairy tale ended.
Nick became a best selling author with a twist, his romance books don’t have happy endings. Jess is moderately successful but works two jobs.

The publisher asks Jess to present an award to Nick, when a sudden snowstorm leaves them trapped. This book has some of my favorite tropes, second chance romance, forced proximity, and only 1 room and 1 bed.

This is an outstanding read that I thoroughly enjoyed, 4.5 stars.

Thanks to the publisher and NetGalley, I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

Falon Ballard has done it again and written a fantastic romance. This one is really truly for the romance readers, the lovers of HEAs, those that look for how all the tropes will work themselves out. Ballard knows she has smart readers and caters to her audience without sacrificing story. The plot follows the familiar second chance romance trope where our hero Nick and heroine Jess have been estranged for five years since their breakup. By no choice of her own, Jess is asked to give a writing award to Nick at their publisher’s annual Christmas party, which will be the first time they have seen or interacted with one another since the breakup.

Nick and Jess are both romance writers, but on different sides of the coin: Nick is über successful yet can’t/won’t write a HEA and Jess is a midsection writer still serving up coffee to help make ends meet. Ballard is so smart in her incorporation of all things romance: enemies/rivals forced to share a room with only one bed at a snowed-in inn, where they have nothing but time in a confined space to revisit where their relationship went wrong. Add to that, they combine their efforts at writing an enemies-to-lovers book when it seems they can’t quite achieve it on their own—this gets very meta.

This book has everything you’ll want in the form of a second chance romance. The miscommunication trope makes sense as to why Nick and Jess have been estranged for so long, the chemistry sparks and the reader gets snippets into Jess and Nick’s past history through three Christmases. These two can’t stay away from each other and when they get together it’s the mind blowing why-did-we-ever-stop? type of sex. Fallon Ballard continues to write complex romance heroes and heroines that readers will root for getting their HEA. She has become an autobuy author for me and this was yet another feather in her hat. I received an early copy from the publisher. All opinions are my own.

I think this might be my favorite Falon Ballard so far. The strongest third act for sure. I enjoyed it a lot. Looking forward to reading it again in two months 😂

I love books about writers; books that parallel what is happening in the story. Falon is one of my favorite romance writers. Her characters are quirky yet multi-dimensional, they're flawed yet lovable. I loved the final act of this one, grand gesture and all. No notes. (New girl pun intended)

Everything Fallon Ballard writes is gold. This book is perfection — the exact Christmassy second chance romance I needed. The only thing that would’ve been better would be if I read it in December with a light snow going outside.

Give. Me. More.

4.5 stars!

"All I Want Is You" by Falon Ballard is a wonderful Christmas treat, expertly crafted by Falon Ballard in another stunning winner. This was one of the first Christmastime reads for me this year, and I loved every freaking second of it. It is a cozy, banter-filled romp full of steam that rivals a good ol' cup of cocoa. Jess and Nick are both romance authors who just so happen to be exes who did not part on the best of terms. They get stuck in a forced proximity situation when they get snowed in at the fancy inn where Jess has been asked to present Nick with a prestigious writer's award. As they are forced to spend time together, they rehash the end of their relationship and discover that maybe the feelings they had never actually left them. Ballard is a terrific author, and she is one of my favorite romance writers. Her characters always feel so authentic and lived-in, and this is no exception. She always finds a way to mix humor and levity with her serious, sometimes heavy situations. I loved the tension between Jess and Nick during their stressful snowed-in situation. Their character growth is displayed in flashbacks of what happened during and after their relationship broke apart, not just while they are stuck together for a few days. To me, this made their connection feel much more realistic and deep. This was a super quick, easy read that I will definitely own. I highly recommend this book!

Thank you to NetGalley, Falon Ballard, PENGUIN GROUP Putnam, and G.P. Putnam's Sons for the complimentary ARC of this book. All opinions are my own. I was not compensated for this review.
