This book wasn't horrible, but I felt like it was missing that "x-factor.' Not sure what it was, but it was just missing that thing. I do see myself re-reading this later on because it could easily be my mood reading.
Falon Ballard!!! You are so good at your job!!! You put me in the holiday spirit and it’s only September. Thank you for this gift of a book. So freaking heartwarming. Enemies to ex lovers to a second chance romance, who couldn’t love that trope mixed with a holiday theme, and Falon killed it. I’m also a sucker for a pessimistic mmc so thank you for that characteristic. I’ll be rereading again in December for sure.
A sweet and cozy little holiday read! I love Fallon Ballard’s characters - they are always fun and endearing and this rival to lovers duo forced into proximity was no different. If you need a good “snuggle up under a blanket” read before the Christmas season - this is it!
Thank you NetGalley for the opportunity to ARC read for All I want is you!
This was a cute cozy rivals to lovers romance to get you in the mood for the upcoming holidays. I personally thought that the plot was predictable so there was nothing that truly set this rivals to lovers apart from the rest.
Bitter exes. Professional rivals. One bed. Snowed in. What could possibly go wrong? Or... what could go right?
Jess, a romance writer with a heart still broken from her breakup with fellow SVP writer Nick, finds herself trapped at a remote inn with him just days before Christmas. The catch? They're both suffering from serious writer’s block. But when their frustrations start sparking ideas for their novels, these two exes soon discover that maybe they’re writing their own holiday romcom....and the tension/attraction between the two is REAL.
I absolutely loved the banter between Jess and Nick. The chemistry was spot-on, and the concept of two romance authors (with very different views on love) helping each other break their writing slump was such a fresh and fun idea. Watching them live out their own second-chance romance, with classic romcom tropes, felt so natural and heartwarming.
If you’re a fan of enemies-to-lovers, second chances, and a cozy holiday vibe, this book is an absolute must!
{Book Review} All I Want Is You by Falon Ballard
Reading a Christmas book in September is a little early even for Miss Holly Jolly here but when I got the opportunity to review ALL I WANT IS YOU by Falon Ballard I couldn’t pass it up. Thank you @putnambooks for the review copy!
Now I will say, if you’re not a Christmas girl that’s ok! This book had Christmas elements and cozy vibes of being snowed in with one bed (I know, right?!) at a hotel during Christmas time and there are flashbacks to previous Christmases but it didn’t feel like A Christmas Book if you’re hesitant to pick it up for that reason.
Jessica and Nick are both romance authors even though Nick doesn’t write HEA, much to Jessica’s chagrin, who used to be in love but Nick broke up five years ago with Jessica and it shocked her.
I think the banter and tension and build up was great and made me keep reading. The one bed and forced proximity was such a win and draw as were the Christmas vibes like I mentioned but it didn’t overwhelm the story. I loved the scenes of talking about writing and publishing, I always find that so interesting to read about.
If you’re looking for a quick, fun, one bed vibe with a little bit of Christmas, you’ll definitely want to add this to your holiday tbr!
I love Falon Ballard so much!! This book is so cute and perfect for the upcoming season. I loved the chemistry between these characters and their banter.
Fallon is forever an autobuy author for me and I have never been disappointed by any of her books. Will that being said I loved this one. It combined so many of my favorite tropes from one bed to ex lovers to enemies from enemies to lovers. The grand gesture. My heart melted.
Tis the season for holiday reads!!!! I’m a Christmas girlie through and through and absolutely jumped at the chance to dive into another swoon-worthy romance by Falon Ballard!
This is the perfect book if you want romance, tasteful spice, and bookish main characters. I’ll be recommending this to everyone!!
This was such an easy read! I love a good second chance romance and this book delivered. Nick and Jess were so cute together. Perfect holiday read!

All I Want Is You by Fallon Ballard is a cute, quick holiday read. It’s pretty predictable, but that didn’t take away from how enjoyable it was. The festive setting and sweet moments made it a cozy, feel-good story—perfect when you want something easy and light. If you’re after a simple holiday romance, this one does the job.
I'm always excited to read a Falon Ballard book, and All I Want is You was such an amazing second chance romance. The second chance trope has become one of my favorites to read. Nick and Jess dated in the past, but he broke her heart. They haven't spoken in years, but now, they will see each other again at an awards ceremony. Jess and Nick are both romance writers, but Nick doesn't end his romances with an HEA. This annoys Jess, and she has to pretend to say nice things about him at an awards ceremony.
Nick has regretted his decision to end things with Jess, and he is still in love with her. When he sees her again, he is reminded of all of the feelings that he still has for her. Jess needs a room to stay in, and Nick offers. It's an only one bed, snowed in scenario, and it brings them together. I love how they find a way back to each other. They even work together to write a romance.
The story takes place during the holidays, and it does have some of the magic and joy of the holiday season. The story has some spice, and it also has so much fun too.
Thanks to NetGalley and Putnam for an ARC of this book.

This book packs so much in and would be a hit with most romance readers.
- You want holiday?? Well, this has got a FMC who loved Christmas and a MMC who hates it and they're snowed in at a hotel while on a work thing!
- You want some angst? Well, they broke up for reasons only one of them fully knows; while they have the same career, one of them flourished and the other didn't.
- You want spice and swoon? Look, both characters write romance so of course their banter and one-bed shenanigans are 🧑🍳💋. They are also both allllll about that physical touch love language. You can tell that their skin is hungry for each other in Falon's prose.
Def recommend this one. I have to add that I love workplace so much. My husband and I no longer work together but we do the same job at different companies and it is so nice to have someone who really understands what my work life is like - I feel the romance in that setup and I loved how that played out here.

This was my first book by Falon Ballard, and I'm definitely excited to read her backlist now! All I Want Is You is the perfect Christmas romance, short and sweet with lots of spice (don't be fooled by the cutesy cover). It's a cute, second-chance romance about two writers who meet again when they are snowed in at a writer's conference right before Christmas. Nick and Jessica split up five Christmases ago, and this Christmas they're attempting to co-write a Christmas romance together. Will they finally get their happily ever after? Pack this book for your holiday mini-break--it's a quick, fun read with all the cozy vibes. Thank you to Netgalley, Putnam, and author Falon Ballard for the librarian preview copy.
Falon is back baby!!!!
Thank you to the publisher, Netgalley, and PRH Audio for this ALC!
I absolutely loved Just My Type and still have to read Lease on Love but Right on Cue was a miss for me. THIS however, this adorable second-chance/workplace, forced proximity romance was everythinggggg!!
This is going to be an amazing cozy holiday read! Jessica and Nick ( like New Girl, and they mention that) were madly in love for 3 years as they navigated the publishing world together and both were offered deals with the same publisher. Thinking things are going great, Jess is heartbroken when Nick breaks up with her. Harboring the jilted ex-lover feelings, she's shocked when their publisher requests that she present Nick with the Romance Award at their upcoming holiday party. The two may live in the same Burroughs, but haven't seen each other in 5 years, unless forced by their publisher into the same space. Jess agrees and due to terrible winter, the two end up stuck in a cozy upstate holiday hotel for a week sharing one bed right before Christmas!
I loved that these two are authors and we got a few insights into the publishing world and their writing process. It was like peeling back the layers of our favorite genre and getting a fun glimpse behind the scenes. While its a romance bool portraying romance authors, it all felt super relatable or realistic. In fact, the miscommunication trope is mentioned and it really is the number one thing REAL people struggle with! I loved the tension, the banter, and it was for sure a slow burn with a few past spice scenes thrown in before we get to the present time. BUT, it delivers for sure!
While I love that these two still cared for and loved each other after 5 years had passed and they seemed to work through their past mistakes, I kind of wish they took a bit more time to sit alone with the WHY the relationship fell apart the first time. Jessica forgives Nick so quickly but idk if I would be able to do the same. Nick's grand gesture at the end kind of sealed his fate for being more mature, ready to move forward, and accepting of her and the romance genre as a whole.
I love Falon and cannot wait for anything she comes out with next!
Jess & Nick are exes who are forced to reunite when Jess is asked to present an award to Nick by their publisher . . . after Jess’ hotel reservations are lost, the duo end up sharing a room — and a bed— and snowed in for days 😏❄️
This was such a fun read! The characters were instantly lovable, the banter was perfect, the internal dialogue was hilarious + relatable, the spice was SPICING, and the backstory was so well written 👏🏻👏🏻
HIGHLY RECOMMEND adding this to your holiday season TBR 🎄

A Christmas romance novel about two writers who happen to be exes writing a Christmas romance book? Sign me up! This book was such a trope-filled treat. I loved the banter, the spice, and the sheer amount of peppermint mochas this book contained. It was a delightful quick festive read.
Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for the advanced readers copy in exchange for an honest review.
Last night, I curled up in bed to read this, and I was just swept up in the warmth of Nick & Jess’s love story! It was sweet and cozy, and the absolute perfect Christmas romance. Definitely recommend picking this up! and a peppermint mocha. 😉

It’s my first from Falon Ballard, and now I’m wondering what took me so long to read anything from her. I’ve already preordered her Feb release, Change of Heart! 💕
