3⭐️s *Special thanks to the author & NetGalley for providing me with an ARC (advanced reader copy)*

First off, I love a second-chance romance. I eat it up every single time. Overall, this book was a little too similar to some other holiday (& regular) romances I’ve read before. I found myself asking multiple times, “have I read this before?” … which isn’t necessarily a good thing for an unreleased book, ya know?

Some things I liked:
- Dual POV
- Dual Timelines
- Second-Chance Romance
- Forced Proximity
- Spice

Some things I didn’t like:
- since this is a shorter book, the pacing felt a bit off to me. Like, we’re just taking a big gulp & diving in
- 90% of the book takes place in one specific setting/location (not a town, but a hotel)…not enough variety of settings for me
- again, I felt like some of the main plot points have already been written in several other romances. This took away from any originality this story might have had…which bummed me out.

I’ve always enjoyed Falon’s books, but nothing has topped her debut, Lease on Love, for me.

All I Want Is You is like the winter wonderland version of Beach Read, so that being said, I really enjoyed it!

This was a really cute, short but sweet lovers to enemies to lovers, forced proximity, second chance holiday romance. I love books about authors and this one was no exception. I also thought it was pretty cute the main characters were named Nick and Jess and personified grumpy/sunshine just like in New Girl.
I couldn’t help but smile along as Nick and Jess found themselves in increasingly awkward situations as they navigate their forced proximity while being snowed in after their publishers’s holiday ball, and I loved them combining their books into one after learning they were writing the exact same book, being inspired by each other unknowingly.
Miscommunication and third act breakup are some of my least favorite tropes, but I thought it was fun how the author acknowledged that these tropes aren’t really ideal but sometimes necessary by using the characters’ discussion of them in their own book.
The ending/grand gesture was really cute and I liked how Nick was able to get past his struggles in order to make things right in all areas of his life, and in turn, Jess’s.

This was my first Falon Ballard book, despite having them all on my TBR and owning some, but it absolutely won’t be my last. This was an adorable read.

Thank you Penguin Group Putnam/G.P. Putnam’s Sons for the gifted ARC via NetGalley.

This book started out a bit slow and took some time to get invested with the characters. But soon I enjoyed the book and was smitten. A perfect holiday read for the holiday season.

Thank you to Net Galley and Penguin Group Putnam for this advanced reader copy. This is my first read by Falon Ballard. The story is about a second chance at love with Jess and Nick, both romance novelists for the same publishing company. Jess is asked to present Nick, her ex, with an award for Romance Novelist of the year. Jess begrudgingly arrives at the locale for the ceremony only to find herself stuck there because of a storm, with Nick. This is a cute holiday story with all the warm feels! A quick and fun read! Enjoy!

A solid 5⭐ read! Nick has coveted a spot in my top 20 male characters. Overall, short read with a solid holiday background and will be a great read for the upcoming holiday season! Plus, Falon Ballard creates the best characters...Jess & Nick!?!? Okay New Girl coded...(but seriously it’s kinda freaky how similar)

one thing about me is that I’ve never met a Falon Ballard book I didn’t love — and now a Christmas book?? say less.

a second chance romance, two romance writer exes get snowed into the same inn, and guess what— there’s only one room left!!!!!!!! if that doesn’t make you want to read this book, let me introduce you to the main characters: Nick and Jess 🤩🤩

Looking for a fast paced holiday read? Well this is one that hits all of the right places. Following our main characters through a will they won’t they, second chance romance filled with the tension that makes you so thrilled when one of them makes a move. I really liked Nick and for the most part Jess. But I wasn’t always a fan of her. I’ve noticed in second chance romance at least the female main character comes off as if she couldn’t have been a reason the relationship ended. To me I don’t like when it’s always the woman being a victim rather than playing into the faults that both partners have/had that could have caused the first break up. I actually didn’t feel all that bad about why Nick broke up with her. Honestly, she gave him a valid reason to end it like he did. Was it still sucky? Yes. However, it’s not as bad as it could have been. This was a short book but that’s not a down fall here. It actually to me was the right amount of time spent with this story. Nothing felt rushed or unfinished because of it which I really enjoyed!

Title:   All I Want Is You
Author:     Falon Ballard
Genre: Romance
Rating: 4 out of 5

Bitter exes. Professional rivals. Just one bed.

What could go wrong?

Jessica Carrington always wanted her own happily ever after. But, until that happens, she spends her days as a small-time romance writer, penning satisfying Happily Ever Afters to soothe the heartache left by her ex-boyfriend Nick Matthews, a fellow romance writer and now her biggest rival, who has found success writing love stories without happy endings. It's clearly what he's good at, after all . . .

So, when their professional obligations find them snowed in - and forced to share a room! - at the same remote inn a few days before Christmas, Jess and Nick are both fuming. But what's more fitting for two romantic writers in a slump? And when they realize the friction between them might be the only cure for their writer's block, they decide to turn their frustration into fiction . . . and the pages start flying.

Jess can't shake the feeling that Nick is the last guy on earth she should be falling for (again), but, as they both finally get back in their flow, is he actually all she wants for Christmas?

There are a lot of tropes happening in this one, but it was still a fun read. I liked Jessica—and her two best friends—and found her a lot of fun. Nick was also a good character and the chemistry between them was great. This was a quick, fun read with a solid dose of heat between the characters.

Falon Ballard is from L.A. All I Want is You is her newest novel.

A holiday romance from Falon Ballard? Yes please, and thank you. Jessica Carrington and Nick Matthews are both romance writers. But while she is published she still needs to waitress to get by. He on the other hand hit mega success with his first book and got a Netflix deal. They met in a writing group and dated for a few years but he broke up with her when selling his first book. When she is asked by her publisher to present him with an award she can not say no. And when they are snowed in at the hotel with only one bed she can’t say no to sharing.

This is cute and candy cane sweet with some snow melting heat. The story is told from alternating POV’s and includes a couple of flashbacks to previous Christmases when they were together. They are clearly soul mates that need to figure things out. Truthfully, I didn’t find his reasons for breaking up as easily forgivable as she did, but I liked their communication and willingness to talk about it. Okay, it was mixed in with a drinking game, but whatever gets to the truth.

I really enjoy Ballard’s pleasant characters and easy way of writing. This is one of the better holiday romances I’ve read so far this year. But I love second chance romances.

I loved this book so much. this ended up being the sweetest second chance romance. im not sure i loved the reasons for the breakup but i loved that they came together in the end and wrote their own story together.

Miss Falon Ballard has done it again!!! This time with a sweet, had me giggling, and cozy holiday book that is perfect for entering the -ber months!!

The story of Nick and Jess is the holiday romcom but still good if you miss the snow falling, writers with a second chance romance trapped in a cozy inn during a snow storm? Doesn’t get better than that! It was so good I read it in one sitting! Literally the perfect book for the chilly weather we’re entering! I loved seeing Ballard do a holiday romance, a sweet one at that ☃️

An intriguing Christmas romance that will leave you guessing, will they or won't they, right up until the end. A mix of drama and some traditional romance troupes that readers will be familiar with.
