Writers and the publishing industry seem to be a theme in this year's holiday themed books, and I'm not mad at it. I love Falon Ballard's writing, and I was definitely charmed by this intentionally romance trope heavy, steamy story. Great characters with a sweet backstory and the kind of second chance romance you cheer for.

If you want Christmas cheer this is what I believe you need. The perfect prescription to get into the holly jolly mood. Just wan Falon ordered!
A Cute christmas-y spice humorful book with holidays all over it.
A second chance, slow burn, and forced proximity romance of romance authors all set in the holidays, Hallmark if Hallmark enjoyed spice. Every thing we could as for in a romance book.
You'd be silly to skip this one, this holiday season.
I highly recommend this book for a good romance read to put you in the holiday mood.
the Character history and dynamic in the story line as it develops is one of the best. The chemistry is written on the pages. Another hit by Falon! Highly highly recommend.

Five stars! I absolutely loved this book! Easily one of Fallon Ballard's best books yet!! I loved the second-chance romance between Jess and Nick. I also loved how this book is situated in the writing and publishing world. It was so fun to watch Jess and Nick's writing process, as well as how they interacted with the other authors and executives at their imprint. Such a fun read. Highly highly recommend.

I was so excited to receive this ARC because I have been such a fan of Falon Ballard’s previous books. It was so fun to see her take on a holiday romance with this story. Sometimes I feel like holiday romances can be a bit heavy handed with incorporating Christmas into them that feels forced, but Ballard made it weave throughout the story so beautifully. It added so much to the atmosphere of the story. Can’t wait to read what she writes next!

𝐴𝑙𝑙 𝐼 𝑊𝑎𝑛𝑡 𝑖𝑠 𝑌𝑜𝑢 is under 300 pages and an absolute delight. This is the perfect kick-off to holiday reading. It is set around Christmas and the FMC- Jess, loves the holiday season. The MC's Jess and Nick are exes and both romance authors. They're attending an award ceremony where Jess has to present Nick with an award. It's been 5 years since Nick broke both of their hearts, and fate (and a snowstorm) have different plans in store for them. 😬

A romance book, for romance readers! Two exes, both romance authors, snowed in together at a Christmas lodge with *gasp* just one bed! Talking about their current projects, arguing over miscommunication, I mean— want me to keep going with the tropes?! The chemistry is sizzling in this book that will have you laughing out loud and feeling the holiday spirit! It’s quick enough to read in one sitting in front of a roaring fire too!

I'll admit, Falon Ballard is one of my favorite authors, and it was such a treat to read not only a holiday romance but one where the main characters are both romance writers! I felt like she took this opportunity to give a lot of insight into her process, the realities of being an author, and the overall support of the community. With "All I Want Is You," she allowed us a peek behind the curtain to see the inner workings of an author's mind, the pressure they face (I had no idea about the sophomore slump), and how much goes into something we readers devour in an afternoon!

It may have been five years since Jessica had her heart destroyed at Christmas (okay, technically, the breakup was two weeks after Christmas, but it still counts), and while time is supposed to heal all wounds, the devastation of that heartbreak has put a dark cloud over the holidays. Attempting to ignore another reminder of a heartache that just won’t seem to go away, Jessica tries her best to get into the holiday spirit, putting up her tree and hanging her stocking with care. It’s better than focusing on the book - or lack thereof - that doesn’t seem to want to magically appear. Despite searching everywhere, inspiration is determined to hide, and time isn’t on her side. To make matters worse, an email to end all emails arrives in her inbox. Not only does she have to attend an awards ceremony for SVP as a presenter, but she also has to present the Romance Writer of the Year award to none other than Nick Matthews. While many names may come to mind when she thinks of him - fraud, snake, charlatan, jerk - the ex that made her think of forever and pulled the rug from under her is the first. Oh - but it doesn't stop there! A quick DM from Nick stokes an unexpected creative flame that just may be what she needs. Determined to find inspiration absolutely anywhere else, and not withstanding changing her identity and going into the witness protection program, she concedes to the demands of her agent to play nice for the sake of her upcoming book and reputation. What’s one night? She can do this. Go on stage, spew out a few lies about how he is simply the best, and go back to her life working at the coffee shop and agonizing over a book that's pulling inspiration from the absolutely wrong place. The problem is, the weather has other things in mind. What should have been a quick in-and-out has now turned into a winter wonderland, trapping her at the inn. Oh, it just keeps getting better as the inn doesn’t have her reservation, and she is stuck sharing a room with none other than Nick. She has no desire to make amends, forgive and forget, and move on. She just needs to get out of the weekend in one piece - heart included.

I loved how this was a slow burn with constant kindling being thrown on it. There’s an undertone of a secret throughout, and each moment Nick has to think about it, share it, and feel pressured by it - the magnitude of what that secret could possibly be grows stronger and stronger. Similarly, you slowly see the decline of Jess’s resolve as she's forced to keep the anger in the past with the evidence of the present. I get it - she saw forever with this man, and out of nowhere, he just calls it quits and walks away. How do you trust anything he says and does when all of it feels like a facade based on past events? I enjoyed the banter between the two characters, the secondary characters, and the overall energy of the book. You'd think being trapped in an inn would cause the book to feel mundane and stagnant, but somehow Falon kept the energy up the entire time.

This one was definitely a lot spicier than the books I’ve read by Falon Ballard in the past. Normally, her books are pretty hot and heavy when the moment calls for it, but the tension throughout this book was vocalized and abundant. Not a bad thing at all, and I don’t think it’s all too different from what I recall of her books in the past, but it was definitely more at the forefront, especially with word choice.

I loved the exploration of “what if” and regret in this story. Five years have passed since Nick made a decision for both of them that would change their lives. Falon presents the timeline with quick looks back at Christmases past and the character interaction in the present. By doing this, we can see the solid foundation between these two - the love they shared, the appreciation, the admiration, and also the divide between the growth of one’s career and the stagnant nature of the other.

"All I Want Is You" was nothing short of a feel-good, holiday romantic comedy where you not only feel closer to the romance author community but may walk away with newfound respect for those who have the ability to make us laugh, cry, and fume with a few simple strokes of the keyboard. While this one was a little on the shorter side, it was just as impactful, and as always, I can’t wait to read what Falon has up her sleeve next - though now I’ll be a little more patient!

Jessica Carrington is a romance writer who always writes happy endings in each of her books. Her ex Nick Matthews is also a romance writer however, he is known for never giving his books a happily ever after.

They haven’t seen each other in a while but Jessica was asked to travel to an award ceremony to present Nick with an award and she felt that she had to go. They are both currently having writer's block with their next book so they are both hoping the getaway will help them. The ceremony was in a hotel and a major snowstorm hit. All roads are shut down and no one can leave the hotel. On top of that, Jessica’s room reservation is nowhere to be found and all rooms are currently booked. Nick invites her to stay with him and she unwillingly accepts.

Thanks to this snowstorm, you start to see them rekindling their relationship. They communicate about the past and what they both want in their future. On top of that, they decided to combine their writing into one book and collaborate together.

I really enjoyed this book. I like both main characters and I enjoyed watching their romance reignite. It has perfect cozy Christmas vibes so it is great for the season. This is a one-bed, second-chance romance.

Thank you to NetGalley and Penguin Group Putnam for an eARC in exchange for my honest review.

I'm such a fan of Falon Ballard and I was so excited to have the opportunity to read All I Want is You in advanced. I thoroughly enjoyed this read. It was a quick and cozy second chance holiday romance read for me.
I give this book 4.5 ⭐ 2.25 🌶️

If you love: enemies to lovers, professional rivals, second chance romance, holiday romance, one bed, and forced proximity I would highly recommend this book. It was cute and heartfelt. This book is my second book that I've read from Falon and I feel so immersed in her storytelling.

I loved that this book's focus was on two romance authors who once had been in a relationship 5 years prior but now- one is hugely successful and the other is still struggling. When Jess is asked to give a speech honoring Nick at an award banquet for their publishing company, she reluctantly agrees, hoping to win over her publisher and subtly show Nick what he’s been missing (revenge dress!). However, circumstances force Jess to stay with Nick longer than she intended, leading them to confront their intense attraction and the reasons their relationship ended in the first place.

4 Stars I don't think Falon Ballard could write a book I didn't love. All I Want Is You is the perfect holiday romance! It has second chance romance, forced proximity between two writers. It has the perfect blend of sweet and spicy. Loved it!

📚 Read if you like: second chance romance, only one bed, forced proximity, spicy books, holiday romance

This was such a cute second chance holiday romance! Nick and Jess are both romance writers who have been snowed in at a book event and there’s only one bed! It’s also a book for book lovers and provides a look at what the publishing industry can be like.

Nick and Jess immediately have chemistry even though it’s been years since they’ve seen each other and I ate it up. Nick has it bad for Jess and while she wants him too, she won’t admit it and thinks it’s a bad idea. You get flashbacks to previous points in their relationship and you really get to see their chemistry over years which is so satisfying.

It was a quick, fun, cute read. I laughed a lot, there were even teary eyes at the end and it miraculously has me looking forward to winter!❄️ I definitely recommend this to holiday romance readers - it’s sure to get you in the spirit! Out this week - 9/24!

Thank you to NetGalley, Penguin Random House and Putnam Books for this free eARC in exchange for my honest opinion 🫶🏻

💭My thoughts: If you’re a romance reader who loves plots involving the characters being authors, forced proximity, one bed, love to hate to love, this one is for you! This was such a cute fun read. The writing style was so smooth, I finished it in one day. The characters were easy to love, they had such chemistry you couldn’t fight rooting for them. As someone who is Scrooge around the holidays, I found myself really enjoying myself and I definitely recommend adding this one to your holiday TBR list this year !

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for granting me an e-arc!!

I have to start off by saying this is such a cozy, fun holiday romance and I need it to become a movie!!

Jessica is an author who has published multiple books, but still isn’t quite successful enough to quit her day job of working at a coffee shop. Jessica is struggling to come up with an idea for her next book, and to make things worse, her publisher pretty much demands her to present an award at the publishing company’s annual holiday party. Jessica loves Christmas, but doesn’t typically go to the party, so already she’s skeptical of going-especially when she learns who the award is to be presented to.

Nick is a very successful romance author with a large fan base. He is pretty much the sweetheart of the publishing company of his books, and this year he’s receiving yet another award. He isn’t thrilled about going to the holiday party, as there’s almost nothing that he dislikes more than Christmas. However, when he finds out who is presenting his award to him, he finds himself looking forward to the party- only to see a ghost from his past once again.

Although the two think that their reunion after five years of not talking or seeing each other will be a brief few minutes at this holiday party, fate has other plans. When a terrible snowstorm rolls in and keeps everyone stuck at the cozy inn for days, Nick and Jessica find themselves in closer quarters than they could have imagined. As the two spend more time together, bits of the past are unfurled, leaving feelings and tension between them high.

This second chance romance holiday novel is so fun and has a wonderfully cozy ambiance! I definitely recommend this to romance fans or anyone looking for a spirited holiday read. I think this one will be a popular holiday romance this year!!

Nick and Jessica both write romance novels and have a romantic history. Five years ago, out of the blue, Nick broke up with Jessica, leaving her heartbroken after the two were together for three years. Now, the two are forced to reconnect after Jessica is asked to present an award to Nick, who has become more successful than Jessica has in the writing world. The night of the awards ceremony, there is a mix up in the hotel reservations, and Jessica has to share a room with Nick, and then afterwards, a huge storm comes in which prevents anyone from leaving the hotel and prolonging the two having to share a room. The two also are both struggling with writers block, and discover that the only time when they are able to get passed the block and write more of their latest novels, are when they talk to the other.

The idea of the two writing a novel together, leaving comments and notes, and watching the other person edit the novel was great. I loved this idea and thought that it really added a whole new idea of how the two were able to connect again after so long through something that they both loved. At first, I didn't like Nick and really wanted him to grovel, and I'm not usually a fan of second chance romances. However, in this one, after everything was explained towards the end, I found myself being more in the middle in terms of who's side I was on.

Even though it's not Christmas, and the book will not be released close to Christmas, Christmas does have a huge part in the flash backs in the story. The book takes place in multiple different time lines; The couple's first three Christmases together, and the present timeline. Throughout each Christmas, Jessica's love of Christmas is expressed and later, when asked about their favorite memories from their relationship, both stated that one of the Christmases was their favorite. It did put me in a little bit of a holiday spirit, and then I realized that we were still so far away :(

This book was also a very quick read, and was under 300 pages. If you are looking for a quick, cute, holiday read to add to your Christmas TBR, than this is the book for you.

Falon Ballard does it again! I loved this second chance holiday romance. Jess and Nick (yes, there’s a New Girl joke in there!) were written so well and I really enjoyed getting both of their POVs. I also really loved the look at the romance genre and the ever growing debate on HEAs being a necessity for a book to be considered romance. Theo flashbacks to Christmases past were so cute and the spicy scenes were FANTASTIC. I also loved Jess and Nick both realizing that they needed to communicate both then and now to really figure things out. It’s a quick read, but it’ll make you feel warm, fuzzy and festive!

Thank you to NetGalley and Putnam Books for an advanced digital reader’s copy in exchange for an honest review.

When Jess found herself in close proximity with her ex/arch-nemesis at a cute Christmas inn for a work related event, let’s just say she was less than thrilled. It was her time of the year, Christmas was around the corner and she adored the holidays. Her ex though? Not so much. Nick was a Christmas-hating, successful “romance” author for the same publishing company as Jess, and Jess would be presenting him with romance author of the year award.

And then Falon Ballard did what not many can do: she took the miscommunication trope and ABSOLUTELY NAILED IT. I loved how the characters low-key communicated and talked through their own relationship problems through their second-chance romance novel that they were co-writing. This was pure genius!

Falon Ballard has become an auto-read author for me and all her books are so fun! This one particularly got me into the holiday spirit because I found myself relating so much to Jess and her obsession with Christmas time! I highly recommend adding this one to your TBR this holiday season!

This book is so much fun to read that I read it in one day! Ballard’s books are addicting to read and this new book follows suit. She has set up an enemies to lovers, close proximity rom-com that is full of witty banter and some serious sexual tension.

Jessica & Nick have a past, a heart-wrenching break-up and a current situation that forces them to work together. So much time together pushes the sexual tension to new levels and possible heartache once again. Eventually, they have to face the truths of the past and present. Their perspectives might change and here Ballard makes us wait to see if there will be a second chance romance. Just the right amount of suspense.

I really enjoyed the banter that goes back and forth via texts plus and while I will not give away an ending, it brought out the happy feels! This book is a definite must read!

This was a really quick, really adorable Christmas second-chance love story. Even though it was a shorter read, I still thoroughly enjoyed the character development, and the (re) development of the love story! I love Christmas, so the setting and the scenery was absolutely perfect. Also, this book has one of the most clever proposals I have ever read! Overall, a really cute read.
