Thanks to Netgalley and G. P. Putnam’s Sons for the arc! Ready for all the holiday reads!
Falon Ballard is an author Netgalley introduced me to that I’ve always enjoyed. And I always look forward to her new releases.
This was definitely more of a novella. I didn’t expect to but I finished it in one sitting. My main complaint is I wanted to see more character development between our leads. I felt like they saw each other again and BAM there was already all the complicated feelings.
also, the big reason for the break up didn’t do it for me. It didn’t seem legit enough to me. But I think that’s just a me thing tbh. I always want more groveling from a mmc 🤣
Overall, I give this one 3⭐️ and I have an arc of her next book too and am excited to read it!
This is out 9/24!

This was a cute and quick holiday romance!
Falon Ballard has some top-tier banter in my opinion, and this book was full of it. I really loved Jess and Nick together, and their chemistry was undeniably sweet and swoony. As someone who does not like the miscommunication trope, I really appreciated the communication between them and how open they came to be with one another. I also really liked the flashback chapters to see how their relationship was before their breakup; it made rooting for them in the present that much easier.
The snowy, Christmasy vibes felt so cozy, and I felt like I should have been reading this with a mug of hot chocolate in my hand. Get ready to put this one on your holiday reading list!
Thank you to Netgalley, Penguin Putnam Group, and Falon Ballard for the chance to read this book in exchange for my honest opinion.
I could not put this holiday, second chance romance down. It's a bigger bite than an amuse bouche novella- but packs the punch of a full novel. I was fully committed from the beginning and while this is a romance with our guaranteed HEA, I really didn't know where we were going to go!
The backstory was so woven in so well and having dual POV was a must. The banter, the yearning, the walls, the physical PULL. Swoon.
I've read all of Falon's books and have truly loved them- but this blew me out of the water. The way she cozily captured New York holiday cheer even brought me cheer while reading in 85 degree September in Missouri!
This by far is my FAVORITE Ballard book to date! I’ve read all of Falon’s books and I just loved the delivery of her first Christmas novel. Falon has grown so much as a writer and her novel, All I Want Is You, is just perfection. Chef Kiss all the way!💯 Her two main characters, Nick and Jess are both brilliant writers and former lovers. When Jess is forced by her publisher to present a prestigious award to her former fling, but now hot shot author, she is torn. Saying no to this opportunity could potentially close more doors for her than open them, which sucks because she is a talented writer. Once again misogynistic culture seeps its spiny fingers into the writing world and Jess has to figure out how to present an award for a man she once loved, yet who also trampled on her heart so many years ago.
One of my favorite tropes, forced proximity, was a main component in this story and it was so well done. The backdrop of a cozy Christmas hotel, snow falling, fuzzy sweaters, and coco will just make you swoon. I could not put down the book because the banter and dual POV from Nick and Jess was Christmas perfection! Also the dual timelines of Nick and Jess' relationship will bring you into their orbit where they slowly discover that the feeling they felt for each other never die away. The big question is, will they act on them?
Fallon I don’t know if this review will ever land in your inbox, but thank you for writing such a sweet and savory holiday novel. All I Want Is You will be published September 24, 2024 and I hope you pick up and order a copy today.
Thank You NetGalley and G.P. Putnam's Sons for your generosity and for giving me a copy of this amazing eARC!
5 ⭐️ I officially have a new favorite Christmas romance that I will recommend! This book is so cute and the perfect second chance romance.
I love Falon’s writing and my threshold for a 5⭐️ is different with holiday books but this may be my favorite book of hers yet. I love the banter she writes and the friendships she develops in books!
This was an advanced read copy I received through Netgalley so it’s not going to be officially published until September 24, 2024! But this is my honest review!
Add this book to your to read list, I promise you won’t regret it! & then let me know what you thought!

This book sucked me in right from the beginning! I absolutely adore everything that Falon writes. Her characters feel like real people and you can rate to them so well. The romance and their background story lines up and pairs perfectly with the character’s personalities. This book was the perfect holiday read wrapped up with a cutesy bow. I very much enjoyed it.
ALL I WANT IS YOU by Falon Ballard is a short and sweet (and spicy!) second chance holiday romance coming out next week.
Jess and Nick are both romance novelists...and exes. Through a series of unfortunate events (including her having to present him with an award from their shared publisher) they end up snowed in together right before Christmas. It's a delightful abundance of tropes, as well as some inside baseball about the romance publishing industry. I was particularly tickled by their conversations around the miscommunication trope—people love to hate it, but it's probably the most common relationship problem.
It's cute and cozy and perfect for a cozy winter day.
DNF @ 33%. This had so much potential but I wasn’t connecting with the characters and it was bit steamy for my personal taste
Falon Ballard does it again y’all!
All I Want Is You by Falon Ballard is the best second chance romance story I’ve read all year!
Nick and Jess were the greatest. They were realistic and
I just love the characters that Falon Ballard writes.
This lovers to enemies to lovers/second chance romance was everything.
Jess and Nick have great chemistry and the whole scenario was fun and realistic enough.
The plot kept me engaged and the banter was phenomenal.
With its lovable characters, witty writing, and heartfelt moments, it’s a book that provides both laughter and depth.
This sweet cozy holiday romance was such a swoon-worthy read!
I loved her three previous titles. And her fourth is just another reminder of why she is a favorite of mine!
I can’t wait to dive into her next upcoming book!
Thank You NetGalley and G.P. Putnam's Sons for your generosity and gifting me a copy of this amazing eARC!
Thank you NetGalley, Penguin Group Putnam and Falon Ballard for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.
All I Want Is You is a book and Nick and Jess. It’s second chance romance. Dual POV in current time with flashes back to their previous relationship.
It is written around Christmas and the flashbacks are to the 3 impactful Christmases they shared but I would not say it’s a Christmas book. I read it in September and it didn’t feel out of place but it certainly would be nice to snuggle up and read leading up to the holiday.
Jess is a barista and part time romance author who is still haunted by her breakup 5 years ago. Nick is a popular romance author who has been an overnight success and regrets breaking up with Jess.
They’re forced to be near each other for the first time in 5 years and find themselves living some of the best romance tropes out there.
I've loved every Falon Ballard romance so it was probably time for one not to sit well with me. The cover for this is beautiful. However, this storyline wasn't for me. I found Jess to be incredibly unlikable and was annoyed with the second romance storyline (especially since it mixed with a one bed storyline). The sharing a hotel room felt very forced in this one. Jess absolutely hates Nick and can't wait to get away....but agrees to share a room with him in under 5 seconds. It was one big eyeroll once the room sharing took place. This one is loaded with steamy scenes that will carry it to best seller lists. I'm sorry for this honest review!
Okay okay okay. Don't look at me, did I cry reading a Christmas book in September? I did. Was it holiday magical with a snow storm forced proximity second chance romance? Uhhhg! I can't!!! It was cuuute. It's a quick little short read, and honestly I loved it. It was shortened Book Lovers Christmas Edition. If you want that in your life, read this book.
Oh, and happy Christmas.
At just 250 pages, this book packs a punch, delivering a perfect blend of romance and spice. It features our beloved tropes like second-chance love, being snowed-in, sharing one bed, and cozy holiday vibes. Plus, it's a story about two authors - which makes it even better.
The chemistry between the characters is undeniable, and the tension is electric. Falon Ballard excels at writing steamy scenes, and this one is spot-on.
It's a fast, fun, and festive read that will get you in the holiday spirit. Definitely worth picking up - you won't be disappointed.
ARC Review: All I Want Is You by Fallon Ballard ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Thank you to NetGalley and G.P. Putnam’s Sons for the opportunity to read this e-ARC in exchange for an honest review.
All I Want Is You is a perfect, cozy winter romance. Jessica and Nick are are rival romance authors who are signed to the same publishing agency… they also used to be in love. Both find themselves snowed in at an isolated inn right before Christmas, but only Nick has a room reserved. Jessica reluctantly agrees to share his room with him for “only one night” which turns into several due to the inclement weather. What follows is a forced proximity, second chance romance that is heartwarming, hopeful, and asks hard hitting questions about love and success.
I loved this book - I ate it right up! It has so many of my favorite tropes - snowed in, writers in love, only one bed and mutual pining 🥰 I was even able to enjoy the second chance element despite that being one of my least favorite tropes. I loved the Christmas flashbacks, it really helped to show how amazing and strong Nick and Jessica’s connection was before the breakup. And it made their reconnection all the more intense. Fallon Ballard does a great job of bringing you into the cozy bubble where our characters are slowly realizing they never fell out of love with each other. All I Want Is You will be published September 24th 2024!
All the stars!!! I absolutely loved this book!! This will be this year's must book read for the holidays. Here's what I loved:
~ the short chapters
~ it's cozy. It makes you want to sit in front of the fireplace with a blanket
~ second chance love. You could feel the tension
~ Spicy but over the top, open door scenes
~ One bed. Enough said.
~ Both are authors working for the same publishing company ...lol and yikes!
This is the perfect cozy romance to curl up with this fall/winter! A second chance, holiday, forced proximity, snowed in, only-one-bed romcom featuring two authors. So many of my favorite romance tropes in one book but even better since both characters are romance authors (well, only one is a REAL romance author) and they were fully aware that they were living through these tropes. Loved the grand gesture so much. Definitely a fun one to add to your holiday romance collection!
Thank You Netgalley and Penguin Group Putnam

"All I Want is You" by Fallon Ballard is a delightful story featuring two main characters, Nick and Jess, both romance authors. Their publishing company throws a holiday party, and they end up staying at an inn where they get snowed in. There's much more to this book than just Christmas. It was a shorter read, but it didn't feel rushed.
This was a perfect holiday romance, and I highly recommend it when it comes out in September.
- Dual point of view
- Second chance romance
- Flashbacks
- And so much more!

I loved “All I Want is You”. I loved Nick and Jessica. I love holiday romances and I LOVE Falon Ballard so much. If you’ve never read Falon, I recommend her entire catalog.
Nick and Jessica are both romance writers for the same publishers who dated for three years, five years ago. When they get snowed in at their publishers holiday party, they’re forced to share a room at an inn and obviously reignite their romance.
One thing I loved about “All I Want is You” is there was no third act breakup, no miscommunication and everything made sense and Nick and Jessica acted like real people. Now, it was still a romance- no on actually has to share a bed for days with their ex-boyfriend, but the characters and relationship circumstances were rooted in reality.
Last, but certainly not least, this book was HOT. 🌶️
You’ll love this book if you love:
✅Enemies to Lovers
✅Open Door Romance
✅Witty Banter
3.5 stars for this cute, short and sweet lil Russian nesting doll of a holiday second chance romance novel!
What Falon Ballard is gonna do every time is write adorable characters going on emotional journeys until they figure their own brains out enough to be together, and this book is no exception. Jess and Nick (no, not those ones- but wouldn’t it be fun if it was!) are two romance authors with some unfinished business- and their publishing house, the weather forecast, and a small country inn are going to make them finish that business!! I thought this quick lil book was fun, sweet, and perfect for the holiday season (in a few months!!)
Thank you so much to Fallon Ballard and NetGalley for a chance to read in exchange for an honest review!
exes to rivals to lovers with forced proximity and only one bed - need i say more?
i will though because i thoroughly enjoyed this and devoured it almost in one sitting. was such a fun storyline that made the middle of september feel like christmas to me. i anticipate a reread (or audiobook listen) when the holidays actually roll around, but for now i am going to read all of Falon’s other books
