I wish the book had teased their first break-up more, I had no clue what the reason was until the reveal—understanding why they broke up might’ve helped me understand their relationship dynamics or the characters themselves better.
Thank you NetGalley for the ARC. This story is cute. Not bad, not great. Just a story about two writers who love to hate each other.
All I Want Is You was a quick read. I thought the author did a fantastic job with the Christmas vibes. This would be a cute book to read at a ski lodge in the winter. I enjoyed the dual POV's between Nick and Jessica. I did find their relationship lacking. I felt like their chemistry was more tell than show. I could tell the author was trying to create tension between them; however, it fell flat for me. I wanted more flashback scenes of their relationship. I struggled finding Nick and Jessica's quick reunion believable. I think more flashbacks to their previous relationship could have made their current decisions more justifiable. Nick and Jessica's relationship arc felt super rushed. Their character development arc also felt rushed and underdeveloped. On a positive note, I did appreciate how Ballard used romantic tropes. Despite the quickness of Nick and Jessica's relationship, I found this book cute and charming. Thank you to NetGalley and G.P. Putnam's Sons for the ARC.
Short, sweet, and delightful! The author brings her A game with everything she does best (smart, witty dialogue, longing, some heartbreak, spicy spiciness, a joyful HEA) and sets it during the most wonderful time of the year. This book is truly a gift.
A heartwarming holiday read!
Kick off the holiday season with this delightful second chance romance! Packed with chemistry and playful banter, this short story centers on Jess and Nick, who find themselves snowed in together due to work obligations. With only one bed and a closet full of unspoken truths, their forced proximity ignites old flames and sparks new conversations.
The narrative seamlessly weaves flashbacks of their past Christmases, giving a glimpse into their previous connection and deepening the emotional turmoil they currently find themselves in.
I especially loved how their verbal sparring led to creative inspiration, driving both characters to dive into new, yet similar, projects. It's a charming, feel-good story that perfectly captures the festive spirit. Don't miss out on the audiobook, as it's an excellent way to experience the story's warmth and humor!
All I Want is You is a cute second change holiday romance. It was a sweet story with a few spicy scenes. Forced proximity forces Jessica and Nick to be together in a secluded inn during a winter storm. They are both authors trying to write a book, but both have been having a hard time since they broke up years ago. Will being stuck in an inn bring them back together?
This was my first Falon Ballard book but I would like to read more. This was a cute Christmas book without being too Christmassy, it felt more of a winter scene with a few Christmas past and present stories.
Thank you NetGalley and G.P. Putnam's Sons for an ARC of All I Want is You for an honest review.
So freaking good!!! Thank you to NetGalley and Penguin Random House for this arc! It may be only September but this book has me looking forward to Christmas! I enjoyed this book so much and didn’t want it to end!
Slow burn, Second chance romance, enemies to lovers, spicy!
This was such a great read to kick off the upcoming holiday season!
Jessica is a romance writer and barista who used to love all holidays (Christmas in particular) until her ex boyfriend broke up with her during the holiday. After an unexpected opportunity pops up, Jess and her ex are brought back together at their publishing company’s Christmas Gala.
This was such a heartwarming & cozy read! Nothing is better than a second chance romance set during Christmas! I enjoyed watching Nick & Jess’s relationship flourish. I think their time apart helped each of them grow into better people. They both deserve a happy ending!
If you’re wanting to dip your toes into an early holiday read I 100% recommend Fallon’s first holiday novel!
Such a funny and lovely holiday romance. I love when the author depicts the season so descriptively for the backdrop and it matters for the plot. I imagined the whole story in a snowed in quaint cabin/hotel.
The best second chance holiday romance I’ve read thus far. The banter was so witty and it made me laugh out loud. Some of the deeper lines made me wonder if they were spoken straight from the author’s heart. The side characters mattered. Left me wanting more.
I really enjoyed it and I’d recommend.
This was such a cute holiday read . It’s definitely a slow burn, some spice, and second chance romance.
It’s short and sweet and i think possibly my new favorite of hers!
Thanks to netgalley and the publisher for the arc!!
This was very sweet and expertly done - I love the back and forth between what happened in Jess and Nick’s relationship and what their characters were experiencing.
This was my first festive read of the year and it did not disappoint. I loved that the two leads were romance writers (or romance adjacent in Nick’s case). Both Jess and Nick came across as likeable and the why of their breakup and whether they would get that second chance kept me hooked. Throw in alternating pov’s. A snowy Christmas setting, only one bed trope and some very sizzley tension and chemistry and you have a really enjoyable read. 4 🌟
Another Falon book for the books. I had previous experience with Falon through Lease on Love and Right on Cue, I enjoy her writing style greatly and find her books to generally be enjoyable reads. All I Want is You is by far my favorite thus far. I am a sucker for second chance romance, and for two writers to be stuck living a trope, painfully aware of it, yet unsure if this will end in a happily ever after, I was enthralled. I am a big fan of Nick and Jess ( in this book and in New Girl). The breakup reason was sad but it was also amazingly realistic and I deeply enjoyed that aspect. It was also nice to see a bit of dissection of romance tropes. What makes a book romantic? Must romance have a happy ending? Something to think about. I recommend it! Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC. (Something that just kinda bugged me was Jess’ recounting of the breakup reason to her friends, but that is beyond the point, felt a bit reductive)
This was a cute holiday story with romance, bitter exes, and author competition. This would be the perfect holiday read to cozy up with during a snowstorm, especially if you are going to a cozy cabin.

Thank you to the publishers and NetGally for this Advanced Release copy. I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.
This book was everything I want in a holiday romance. It was festive, it was sweet, and it was low on drama.
All I Want Is You follows Nick and Jess (and yes, they’ve heard the New Girl references before). They used to date, but now they’re rival romance authors working with the same publisher. Jess is talked into presenting Nick with an award at their publisher’s holiday ball at an adorable inn. There’s a huge snowstorm and all the guests are stuck at the inn…hello forced proximity! Nick and Jess have no choice but to confront the past and their current feelings. I’m a sucker for second chance romance, especially when there’s holiday magic sprinkled in. This book pretty short, and I flew through it because I didn’t want to put it down. As an avid romance reader, I absolutely loved how often the characters talked about romance books, and even called out which tropes their relationship was hitting throughout the story. I highly recommend this book if you’re looking for a sweet and festive holiday romance!
Thank you to Falon Ballard, Penguin Group Putnam, and NetGalley for this e-ARC in exchange for my honest review.

Thank you so much to Netgalley and Putnam Books for my advanced copy!
If you love second-chance romances with cozy holiday vibes, then All I Want is You is the book for you!
Jessica Carrington and Nick Matthews are both romance authors. They dated five years ago, but things ended badly, so even though they work for the same publisher, they never see each other. Now Jessica is being asked to present Nick with an award at the company Christmas party, and she has no choice but to do it.
When Jess and Nick get snowed in at a remote inn right before Christmas, old feelings start to resurface, and it becomes clear that Nick never stopped loving Jess. But if that’s true, then why did he end things five years ago?
This was a quick, fun read! I loved all the cozy Christmas vibes, the forced proximity that turned up the tension between Nick and Jess, and the back-and-forth between them that leaves you wondering, ‘will they or won’t they?’ There are also a lot of great nods to the writing/publishing process, which I always love to read about!
All I Want Is You has just the right amount of holiday steam and is the perfect book for cozying up with a hot drink.

Falon Ballard writes a great romance. But I feel like this one is her ode to everything we want and need in a quick but satisfying holiday love story. I will definitely be recommending this as the book to read this holiday season.
Not normally a big second chance romance girl but this was as cute! But be warned this is quite the slow burn.
This was the cutest dual POV holiday romance novel. I really enjoyed it. It was a quick read that I couldn’t put down because I couldn’t wait to see how this played out.
If you absolutely eat up Netflix holiday rom coms, but wish they had more spice — add this to your TBR.
Plot:
Exes and romance authors Jess and Nick (New Girl names, we know…) get snowed in alongside a bulk of their publishing office following an annual awards ceremony the week leading up to Christmas.
There is no third act breakup (IMO).
I liked that the character growth happened over the years, not in the short window of time during being snowed in.

Thanks to Netgalley and PENGUIN GROUP Putnam. This is my first holiday book and it did not disappoint. Im always down for second chance romance. I loved the concept of this story both Jessica and Nick are authors of romance books but they both have a totally different way of writing. They get stuck together and I felt like I was there living it with them. I loved it. This was such a easy and fast read and totally but me in holiday vibes.
