Thank you to NetGalley, Falon Ballard and the publishers for allowing me access to the e-Arc.
4.5 stars
The arc was shorter than the finished copy. So it went by quicker than I would have liked. But I really enjoyed their story. I loved the fact that their break up was over something real that could happen. It made their story even more compelling. The vibes of them being stuck at an inn during a snow storm was perfect for a Christmas romance story.
I would highly recommend it!!

This is a delightful Christmas story! Two romance authors who happen to be ex's get stuck together in a cozy romantic Christmasy setting. Enemies to lovers, plus single bed, plus second chance love equals a perfect romance novel. The dedication page scene in the epilogue had me swooning. Love this story and am excited so to read more by Fallon.

Christmas, romance writers, snowed in at a cozy inn with one bed? Sign. Me. Up! This is one of my favorite stories from Fallon yet; the perfect holiday romance with the perfect second chance, somewhat enemies to lovers vibes and hilarious banter from two dueling romance authors.
Jess & Nick were perfectly paired with one another, the christmas lover and the scrooge- who let’s be honest loves Christmas just for her. The alternating timelines of each Christmas’ before their split woven in was great for showing their individual growth since the split and connection that is there years later helped develop who they were in the present. This is a perfect book for all romance lovers, with a HEA that is perfectly balanced of both characters stories coming together in the end.

Thank you Putnam and NetGalley for my ARC!
I absolutely loved this short and sweet second chance Christmas romance! I’m a big fan of Falon Ballard and was so exited to get a chance to read her newest book early. And if anyone can put me in the Christmas mood on a gorgeous May day, it’s Ms. Ballard! This book was swoony and spicy (🌶️!!) and so very cute and Christmassy. I loved Nick and Jess (not to be confused with the New Girl couple), their second chance romance and the super fun romance tropes woven throughout this story of two romance writers.
Add this to your holiday TBR pile without question.

I this was such a cute Christmas romance. I think for me the only thing that would have made it better was less spice- it didn’t seem to fit for me and it mostly took me out of the story. However, the rest of the story was spot on & I loved it!

Thank you to NetGalley for another wonderful book by Falon Ballard! I always love her books, and this one was no exception. It has multiple fun romance tropes, including second-chance love, forced proximity, only one bed, and of course a holiday romance.
The book centers on ex's Jessica and Nick, who are both romance writers and are stranded at a hotel a week before Christmas. The two are each having individual struggles writing their next books, but as they are forced to spend more time together, they both find inspiration for writing and start to feel sparks and potential to rekindle their romance.
It had a great blend of light heartwarming moments and moving depth. There was humor and sadness throughout. I loved the ending! It was sweet, romantic, and realistic.
Once again, Falon Ballard delivered a wonderful romance, and I can't wait to read more by her!

This was such a cute read! Nothing like Christmas feels in May. Like the FMC Christmas is my favorite holiday!
I loved the tropes within this book! It had so many. When the single bed showed up…. Oh no! It was so good. I think this has to be my favorite trope. I liked that you could almost see Nick feeling like she was the one he let get away. I like it when guys fall harder or first.
I loved the banter and ex enemies to lovers and second chance romance this story this had. Falon Ballard does it again with an amazing book.

If I only had to read this book everyday for the rest of my life, I would actually be ok. This story has just about everything I could ever want in a book, and I loved it so much. Nick and Jess are romance writers, rivals and exes. They are going to a ball put on by their publisher and Jessica has to give Nick and award, against her better judgement she lets her agent talk her into this, for exposure and all.
Nick is so excited yet scared to see Jessica again. He's never fallen out of love with her, compares everyone to her, desparately wants a second chance, but knows it's not in the cards for them. She despises him, rightly so.
That is, until they get snowed in, she has no room for the night and there is only ONE BED. Yes. You read that all correctly. Hallelujah the romance gods brought everything. No better way for them to talk about what went wrong than co-writing it in a second chance love story.
There was fire, tension, heat and lots of love their story and I was here for every single bit of it.
Thanks to Penguin, Netgalley and Falon Ballard for an early copy.

An adorable (and very meta) second chance holiday romance.
I’ve loved all three of the author’s previous works and greatly enjoy her writing style and characters. All I Want Is You has great banter and a delightful premise, and Jess and Nick have undeniable chemistry. I am not a fan of miscommunication which is present here though I appreciated how the miscommunication (or perhaps lack of communication) was acknowledged.
Overall, this is a fun, quick read that features many tropes including forced proximity, one bed, and “enemies”-to-lovers.
Thank you very much to Putnam Books and NetGalley for the opportunity to read a copy.

So many types of tropes in this one.
One bed, ex-lovers-enemies, enemies to lovers, grand gestures, second chances, I'd even say a little grumpy-sunshine too, not to mention it's also Christmas time throughout the entire book.
Someone call Hallmark and get this book ready to be a movie.
I loved how the book started out, and then also had the back and forth to when Jess and Nick were dating, also love they are Jess and Nick, because New Girl. Duh.
Cute fun read, I'd say this is the holiday equivalent of a beach read.
Thank you NetGalley and Putnam's Sons Publishing for my E-ARC in exchange for my honest review.

This is an absolutely perfect read. I laughed and cried and just loved every second of All I Want Is You. Falon Ballard keeps hitting these rom-coms out of the part but this is my favorite. The characters jump off the page and even though the plot has some familiar elements to readers of rom coms it just doesn't matter because the book is so sweet and sassy and sexy and satisfying that you're just so happy you found the book and are being given the joy to read it and live in its world. I can't wait to tell everyone that they MUST read All I Want Is You. Personally, all I want is the next Falon Ballard book - and fast.

Goodreads needs to update how many stars you can give, because dang this one deserves more than five!
With every Falon Ballard book I read it just gets better and better. I thought “eh, okay. Christmas book. I’ll give it a go.” I’m not a huge Christmas person (Jess would be so disappointed!) but I really loved this novel.
In this story we follow Nick and Jess who broke up five years ago and are about to see each other for the first time as Jess is presenting Nick with an award. It’s clear from the beginning Nick regrets how things ended with Jess, and this may be his chance to reconcile. Will they get their HEA?
This story had the typical tropes (snowed in at an inn, only one bed, enemies to lovers, and second chance romance) and I loved each one.
I couldn’t find a flaw in any character. I think it helped that we got Nick and Jess’s POV. If we didn’t have Nick’s I don’t think I would have loved him as much as I did. I also really appreciated the three flashbacks we got to their first, second, and third christmases together.
This was a short read I can’t say enough things about. I honestly want to dive back into this world again and again.
*An ARC was provided by NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

This was such a cute little Christmas romance! It was a short and quick read and had some great tropes in it. I really liked the second chance romance (even though I was not happy when I found out the reason for the break up) and felt the chemistry for characters. This would be a great book to read around the holidays! Thanks to NetGalley and G.P. Putnam’s Sons for the ARC!

Alright guys! I have to admit, this is a magical, heartwarming Christmas read, and also a great enemies-to-ex-lovers, forced proximity, second chance romance that I truly enjoyed! It can be considered as the winter version of "Beach Read," where a pessimistic male romance writer who became famous for his non-HEAs meets a sunshiney heroine who brings cheer to his grumpiness, even though her most unforgettable Christmas was also one of her most heartbreaking, where her love of life dumped her five years ago.
I think if there were a soundtrack for this book, it would start with Wham’s “Last Christmas” and George Michael’s “Careless Whisper.”
Anyways, I loved this quick read so much, and the only reason I didn’t give it five stars was because of why our hero broke things off with our lovely heroine. Even though things make sense in the long term, I still rolled my eyes and wanted to give deadly glares to our sullen hero for acting extra dumb!
Let’s move on to the plot: Before I start, let's add New Girl’s soundtrack song “Who’s that girl” for some chapters to play in because our main characters’ names in this book are Jess and Nick! Less quirky, more stubborn versions! (another reason to love this book for my dedication to the show)
Jess and Nick are both romance writers. Five years ago, at Jess’s favorite holiday (yes: freaking Christmas, and our hero is absolutely a Grinch for stealing the spirit), Nick breaks up with her for unknown reasons, and his career takes off, turning him into an NY Times Bestseller author who gives life to unhappy endings (some people are addicted to tear jerkers, I guess). In the meantime, Jess struggles with her career, working in a coffee shop to make ends meet and trying to move on with her life.
When Jess’ agent forces her to give the Romance Author of the Year award to her ex, Nick Miller -sorry-Matthews, for the SVP organization, which will cover her hotel room for the night and give her an opportunity for some exposure by showing how good of a team player she is, she thinks this is a cosmic joke of the universe! She doesn’t want to reunite with the man who broke her heart and delivers him his award as his career skyrockets while hers is stuck in writer’s block. But in the meantime, she is not a quitter without a fight.
On the other hand, Nick also struggles with writer’s block, resenting his decision to let Jess get away and still having deep feelings for her. Interestingly, the moment he starts DMing her through social media, the idea of a second chance novel plot appears in his mind, just like Jess who is inspired by their argumentative banters as well.
When they finally get together at the event night, they think they will spend only a few hours together and go their separate ways, living their lonely lives. But fate has other plans, like the reservation mistake that results in Jess having no room and a snowstorm outside that traps them in the place.
Thankfully, Nick has a room and he’s ready to share it with Jess. What harm can it do, even though there’s only one bed in the room? They will spend only one night together. They can be civil: no need to fight or tear each other’s clothes off, right?
But what if the snowstorm has no intention to end and they find themselves in another career-related situation that pushes them to bury the hatchet and fix their problems from their shared heart-wrenching past? What if their second chance romance ideas turn into reality for themselves?
Overall, it’s a sweet, swoon-worthy, and addictive holiday read that I truly enjoyed as a devoted fan of the author!
Many thanks to NetGalley and PENGUIN GROUP Putnam/G. P. Putnam’s Sons for sharing this lovely holiday book’s digital reviewer copy with me in exchange for my honest thoughts.

Thanks to NetGalley, the publisher and the author for the ARC in exchange for my honest review.

Spice: 2/5 🌶️
This was Falon Ballard’s horniest book and I mean that in the most positive way ever. It was everything a Christmas romance should be- short, sweet, spicy, and swoon worthy. I loved Jess and Nick (actually squealed at the names bc New Girl) and their relationship. I’m such a sucker for “enemies” (read: not really enemies) to lovers and this one did not disappoint. Second chance romance and one bed????? LOVE!!!!!
Thanks NetGalley and Putnam for an ARC!!

the issue with appealing to what romance readers know (second chances, only one bed, grand gestures, etc.) is that we will judge how well the trope actually works in the context of the story. i liked the meta quality of being in two writers' heads, but i didn't feel like i got to know them that deeply. the whole time, the story builds to why nick left jess (the new girl joke was also made here), but it's just miscommunication and it's not even the good kind; this kind could've been resolved with a talk and didn't feel insurmountable. however, ballard always manages to build up the emotion so that is not lost here. i just wanted more depth, but this is a great christmas read.
