This is a story about parental love and assurance.

This was an adorable book about two little squirrels who break a rule and are worried their mommy won’t love them the same. This book teaches kids that even when they break a rule or get a consequence, they are still loved. My girls really enjoyed this book and it helped them to see that they will always be my favorites.
What a sweet book! I loved the message, illustrations, and my daughter was very engaged. We'll definitely buy this one when it's published.
I loved this story! A mama squirrel tells her babies, that no matter what they do, they will still be here favorite. It was adorable and heartwarming. The illustrations were bright, colorful, and cute. Lovely story about unconditional love
You’re Still My Favorite is a sweet children’s book about 2 sister squirrels who go out after bath time and get all messy again while looking for their pet worm, Bub. The illustrations are really cute. They are colorful and interesting for little ones to see what the squirrels are up to. The overall message of the book is that no matter what, your parents will always love you. The overall flow of the book is nice, but I did expect it to end on the page that ends with the title, “You’re still my favorite.” The page about consequences and not doing what is right seemed a little too deep for the story as it is probably geared towards children ages 0-4. The rest of the book is light hearted and sweet.
Thank you NetGalley and Tommy Nelson for the opportunity to share this with my children and provide an honest review.
Thank you NetGalley for this ARC! Really cute story about two squirrel sisters, Betsy and Bernie! I love the dynamic shown in this story between the Mom and her two daughters. It sends a very positive message to children that even when we make mistakes or don’t do the right thing our parents will still be there to support us and show us how to be better. It is repeated throughout the story by the Mom, “you’re still my favorite” even when the girls ask her every question they could think of that would make Mom be upset or disappointed with them. This part of the story was a bit repetitive which the questions but it does make sense because a child would probably ask a million questions haha. It even talks about how sometimes we won’t get what we want and there may still be consequences for our actions but the Mom will still love them. Great lesson and story for parents, teachers, caregivers, and more to use when talking about boundaries and rules! The book was well written and the illustrations are precious! My favorite is that the family pet is a worm named Bub which is adorable. I am looking forward to reading this story to my students at school when this book comes out!
A heart-warming story that my children and I enjoyed reading together!
This story follows two squirrel siblings and their mama as they explore the extent of their mother's love. An important message for kiddos that no matter what they do or what trouble they get into, the love between them and their mother is steady and unwavering.
The illustrations were colorful and delightful and my children were eager to find out what happened to their lost pet worm.
Can't wait to have this one on our shelf!
This is the sweetest, most loving kids book I’ve seen in a long time. Sometimes kids need reassurance that their caregivers still love them when they make mistakes - because they will make a lot! Honestly, the fact that not every child has this breaks my mommy heart. This is what children deserve -unconditional love! And that is what this book is all about!

There is one scene that really touched my heart. When one of the little squirrels asks the mother if he would still be her favorite even if he is picked last for a relay team. It is so important for our kids to know that no matter what happens or who does or doesn't like them, have no effect on their mother's love.
Beautifully written.
The illustrations were adorable. Very colorful and allowed for my littles to stay engaged with the story. We always look for the little details in illustrations like the small colorful flowers, small bugs hidden in the background.
Thank you NetGalley, Amy Weatherly, Sawyer Cloud, and Tommy Nelson for allowing my family to review.
What a sweet book! The art was beautiful, with a bright and colourful palette while still being soft. The story is so heartwarming and shows the unconditional love of a mother. It shows that while there are still consequences to breaking the rules, your mom will always love you even if you mess up sometimes.
This book is a 4.5 ⭐️ read for me!
Beautifully written with illustrations that match the overall theme. Each time the babes describe their faults and give examples, I picture my own kids. It is a great reminder of how much our children mean to us, the parents. And, it is a great way to remind our children of our never ending love even while we are both learning the many lessons of life and parenthood. So very sweet.
The only reason I took .5 was due to the beginning. It didn't really capture the attention of my four year old. Would be better for a more mature child or maybe a better moment.
5 Stars ✨
Thanks to Netgalley for this advanced e-book copy of You’re Still My Favorite, in exchange for an honest review.
“But there are consequences when we don’t do what’s right,” Mom continued. Because you’re my favorite, I will help you learn lessons when you make a mistake. You won’t always get your way, and you won’t always get what you want. But even when things get hard, you’re still my favorite”
You’re Still My Favorite was such a sweet book! It reminded me a little of I’ll love you forever. It’s a story about a mom and her little squirrels. To teach them, she wants them to know no matter what they do- she will always love them and they will always be her favorites. The illustrations were beautiful and well done. This book just made me smile, and I think it’s a perfect book to read to littles, to reinforce that they will make mistakes- but mom will always be there to help and love them through it.
Every child worries that if they don't do, act, look, or speak just as their parents taught them, then they will lose their affection. "You're Still My Favorite" reassures kids that while correction is necessary at times (and a sign of genuine care!), that there is nothing they could ever do to separate themselves from their parents' love. This story is full of the "what if" scenarios kids seem to innately know to ask, and the mother shows such patience and grace as she confirms that no matter what they will always be her favorite gift she ever received. This book is sure to spark meaningful conversations about everlasting love and parents' true delight in their children.
We will post a review to Amazon and to our Instagram account the week of release.
This is a really sweet book with a great message for kids. My four year old son and I really enjoyed reading this book together. I liked the illustrations and loved that they are colored with muted tones! I thought it matched the story well. Definitely a sweet book to read with your kiddos!
Adorable, bright illustrations for a sweet story about a family of squirrels! This was a sweet story with a great message about parents loving their kids even when they make mistakes!
I can not wait to add this to our kids bookshelf! This was such a darling book. It was so sweet! The illustrations were adorable. Such a cute story. Highly recommend.
A lovely little children’s book with a wonderfully sweet underlying message. My daughter is a little young for this book but I still read it to her and she loved looking at the illustrations which are beautifully drawn. The message is all around a parents never ending love no matter what you do, and how you can always turn to your parents for help and support. A really lovely story book for all the family.
You're Still My Favorite is a sweet book about two squirrel sisters who lost their pet, snuck out after bedtime, and got dirty. They are worried their mom will not forgive them, but they learn that their mom loves them no matter and they are still her favorite. Also, the mom points out that there are consequences for their actions, but they will always be her favorite. The illustrations are adorable and the book has a good message.

ADORABLE!!!
Great moral, amazing art, and fair story.
The coloring of the artwork was bright, colorful, yet still soft and peaceful; perfect for a bedtime story for kids!
The story was so, so sweet and it made me very happy. It perfectly conveys a mother's unconditional love for her kids, even when they do something wrong. However, adding onto that, it was made it clear that there are still consequences when you break a rule. This is definitely going to be so useful for parents and kids alike. Lastly, the plot was OK. It was there and it served most of its purpose, but I thought that there was a lack of variety. Majority of the book was Betsy and Bernie asking "what if" questions. It got a little annoying after a while. I would still include these "what ifs" because they added to the story's idea, I would just cut down on some of the more basic ones.
Great job!
