I love Adam Wallace and this one was definitely one for the library! I will be adding this one to our collection for sure.
I read this book with my 5 year old daughter, and it was an instant favorite. We will be buying this for our own library when released, she absolutely loved it. The book was super cute and the illustrations were amazing, there is also a really cute craft at the end that we will try out around the holidays. I would definitely recommend this children's book!
What happens when dinosaurs take over Christmas? Madness and crazy cuteness. This dinosaur story is like no other since Christmas is involved! The story rhyming and illustrations make this story just a cool adventure for all children.
Wow, I never imagine that dinosaur and Christmas could be together in one fit. This is perfect for my boy. He is very fond of dinosaurs. He will love all the stories from this book.
If your child loves dinos, this would be a perfect fit for them.
This book explains what it would be like to have dinosaurs celebrate Christmas and what an adventure it would be. The illustrations are bright and colorful and I love that there are pages that display all the dinosaurs featured and their names. We used these as a "I Spy" kind of game throughout the story. It also is a nice touch that there is a dino craft at the end that would be perfect for Christmas time.
Thank you NetGalley, Adam Wallace, and Tommy Nelson for allowing me to review this. My girls and I enjoyed.
Girls- ages 2 and 5
The books by this author are so cute. The illustrations are great. The story is funny. My daughter is 10 and has loved these books for years. I enjoy them just as much. Any time we see Adam Wallace's books at the library we check them out. His How to Catch series is also excellent.
This is such a cute picture book! I loved it and will definitely be purchasing it for my library! I know the children will love it as much as I did!
This book was super silly and extra cute, and the illustrations were so fun and colorful. My kiddo loves!
I am a big fan of Adam Wallace’s How to Catch series and knew immediately I wanted to read this book. The illustrations were so fun and colorful! The storyline was cute with the dinosaurs causing a ruckus for Christmas. It’s a fun alternative to a Santa or religious Christmas story and will be a great addition to any preschool classroom or home library. This book would be good for a creative thinking/art activity about what it would be like to have a dinosaur as a Christmas guest.
My dinosaur loving kiddo absolutely adored this book! He thought it was so funny! The rhyming text is fun and engaging and the illustrations are bright and colorful! This is just the cutest book. I personally loved the dinosaurs in their Christmas sweaters! Definitely a book the whole family can enjoy together!
This is the perfect book to read with any dino loving kiddo at Christmas time!
This is an adorable book about dinosaurs being apart of the Christmas holiday. One I think every child would enjoy. It even has instructions for a small dinosaur art project at the end of the book for both parents and children to enjoy!

The Puzzle Piece by Andrea Mendoza (May 13) The most beautiful story in how to help children love themselves and be their most authentic self. I’m excited to read more of her books. Wonderful conversations to follow this with my kids!
Gathered at the Table by Glenn’s Nellist (Sept. 9) Using poems, it explains Jesus last supper and his time at the table. Such a profound, kid appropriate explanation of the communion.
Rosie’s Wild Ride by Paige Murray (Oct 7) Her completion doesn’t go quite as planned, but what if we keep going and ask “What if I can?” as we follow big dreams! I can’t wait to get this for my daughter. Loved the illustrations.
Night Magic by Leigh Ann Henson (Sept 23) This was SUCH a fun book of information. Why does it take so long for the eye to adjust to night? Lots of great information with this book and at a child’s level.
The Mountain and the Goat by Slamk Taghaddas (Sept 23) I loved the concept of teaching resourcefulness in this one. Loved the storyline.
Sea Dog Boats by Astrid Sheckels (Jan 14) To learn all about boats, let the dogs lead the way. All about the ABCs and nautical adventures this is a really cute story!
Twelve Days of Summer by Sherri Meret (July 1) “On the first day of summer…” The animals take you on a summer adventure as you sing along! My kids LOVED this adorable book.
Franklin’s Trees by AJ Skenkman (July 1) A story about young President Franklin. A history major myself, this was a really cute informative book.
Outdoor Skills for Kids by Buck Tilton (June 3) My son thought this book was the bees knees. He learned so much from it and kept talking about “when you approach an animal this is what to do..” He was so excited to share all he learned.
A Very Dinosaur Christmas by Adam Wallace (Sept 2) The giggles with this one! Dinosaurs at Christmas is silly.

I went into this book already, a big fan of Adam Wallaces' work with the How to Catch Series. All of my kids swarmed me as we read an ARC of A Very Dinosaur Christmas courtesy of the publisher. If you love dinosaurs and holiday themed books, this is the book for you. When this comes out, I will be purchasing the book to add to our Christmas stories library. I appreciated the rhyming as it kept even my 1 year old amused and engaged and the cutest little dinosaurs. All of my kids were beyond happy when each of their favorite dinosaurs were included, like the Dracorex. The artwork kept my kids engaged and naming off every single dinosaur that appeared. They thought the dinosaurs were disastrous and silly, but ultimately, they wanted a very dinosaur Christmas, too. The giggles from my kids were absolutely infectious, and I could not recommend it enough- and they can't eait to tell their school friends they need the book too! There's an included list to make your very own dinosaur Christmas ornament. Your kids will want to make the craft, and nothing is better than bonding with your kids! I made one early and intend on making plenty more. My kids had a blast and said it was the best part of the book, next to all the dinosaurs.
Many thanks to NetGalley, Adam Wallace and Tommy Nelson for a chance to read this book early!!!
A Very Dinosaur Christmas is the perfect holiday book for the dino-obsessed kiddos. The illustrations are amazing!! I love that some dinos that you don't see very often were represented in this one like Compsognathus. I would definitely recommend to the picture book age kiddos!
Thanks to Net Galley, Adam Wallace, and Tommy Nelson for the chance to review!
