While I usually don’t gravitate toward poetry, the book’s enchanting cover seemed to beckon me. I decided to request it, and I’m thrilled that I did! As I read through the poems, many struck a chord with me, prompting moments of reflection. Although I initially devoured them all, I now plan to savor a few each day, allowing their depth to truly sink in.

This collection has really touched my heart in a way I didn't think possible through a poem!!

As with all,poetry collections, this is a mix. But I think it’s a strong mix. I can easily see using any number of these pieces as reflections or for focus with mindful reflection in some of the groups I lead. Refreshing and thought-provoking.

These poems seemed to me as if they were thoughts waiting to be expanded on or felt more deeply. Or even afterthoughts just jotted down. Most were just very simple statements to me. I thank NetGalley and Belle Isle Books for the advance read.

This collection just did not work for me. I found it to be a bit bad. I’m not going to leave the actual rating I felt applicable because I hope others read it and give their opinion and I don’t want to discourage them.

This is a wonderful piece of work, but would be best reading at various times and not in all one sitting. Some made me laugh, many made me stop and think, and I found myself nodding along with his words ringing bells in my head. So many touched me, and I won’t choose just one, but I will go back and devour it more slowly next time. Thank you #NetGalley for allowing me access to read Gary’s beautiful prose. I recommend this if you enjoy contemplative and uplifting words.
