This was a really great book. Buster is thrilled when he gets asked to be a part of a parade, but his mood changes when a rival is invited to join them. Buster is sure they are up to no good, but when they get lost will have to find a way to work together. As this story comes to a close Buster ends up learning an important lesson. Fans of the previous Buster the Race Car books will be eager to check this one out.

A fun book about getting ready for the Christmas parade with hijinx and collaboration, showing that working together is the best way to approach things.

Thank you Netgalley for giving me the opportunity to read and review this book. These opinions are completely my own.

A fun race car story that depicts the true meaning of Christmas. Coach set a good example for his team and the children reading this story.

This is a fun read that is great for kids who love cars and Christmas!

The story is good and easy to follow and it has a great underlying message about acceptance and working together with people you would not normally (in this case as they are on different teams and are rivals) - it has a positive focus on kindness.

I liked the illustrations and they help to bring the story to life. It is in keeping with the rest of the books in the series but is also fine to read as a stand alone.

It is 4 stars from me for this one - highly recommended!

This is a great book for kids who love race cars and snow! It tells a story of the cars getting ready for the Christmas parade, and the importance of kindness. I’m definitely going to get a copy of this for my son and will be checking out the other books in this series. Thank you to Tommy Nelson & NetGalley for this ARC!

A lot of Race cars to keep track of. The message was good. I felt the story wasn’t strong enough to hold a child’s interest.

This book is perfect for my 4-year-old boy who loves cars and especially racing cars. Any kid that loves cars will love to read this book. ‘Buster and the Christmas Parade’ captures the essence of the holiday spirit in the most charming way. From the moment I opened the book, my little boy was delighted with the colorful illustrations and the wonderful, heartwarming story of Buster. The charactera are endearing, and the main character, Buster, he is now my son’s favorite character.
The main themes of this wonderful book are friendship, celebration and last but not least the joy that appears with Christmas so it is perfect for young readers. The book shows kids the importance of kindness and forgiveness, an especially important message during the Christmas season. I can say that this book is added to the list of books to be read on Christmas in front of the Christmas tree.
The book is part of the series ‘Buster the Race Car’ and it’s perfect for car-crazy kids ages 4 to 8. Is a great read-aloud for story time at home, libraries, and school. The two remaining books in the series I will be reading with my little boy this weekend.
Thank you to NetGallery and Tommy Nelson Publisher for the temporary ARC that I received in return for my honest review.

Thank you to Netgalley & Tommy Nelson for an advance copy of Buster and the Christmas Parade.
This is part of the Buster the Race Car series, each book can standalone!

Buster gets to be a part of the big Christmas parade but his rival Scuff threatens to dampen the holiday spirit with his mean comments.

My review- I thought this was cute. It’s a cute story with a pretty on-the-nose message that forgiving your enemies and showing compassion and kindness is the right thing to do. It’s cool to have a holiday themed book that offers a good message beyond the standard ‘spirit of Christmas’ message that we see in most books with a Christmas setting.

Luke’s review- Five stars! I liked when they got along because every time I don’t get along I don’t control myself. I liked the pictures of the cars and that it was set at Christmas because I love Christmas.

I liked this book so much reviewing it that I bought it for Christmas. My kiddo loves cars and I’d never seen these book before but I saw there were a few others. I think he will love the Christmas theme and cars. It was so cute and had an adorable storyline.

Thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for a copy to honestly review.

This was the perfect little story for my race car loving boys! The pictures are colorful and help draw readers into the story, and the story itself had a good lesson about including others, and showing kindness to others, even when they are not kind to you.

Entertaining story with a message included. Buster had to work with Scuff, a mean-spirited rival, to make the parade a success. Chasing down the Christmas tree for the parade, Scuff pushed all Buster's buttons. When Buster had a chance to retaliate, he chose to help Scuff. A great lesson in all. The illustrations by Ela Smietanka were simple and pleasing. A nice bedtime story.

My son (5) and I were excited to see another book in the Buster series! We fell in love with Buster from the first book and whenever either one of us is feeling stressed my son says, "breathe in deep, count one two three, breathe out slow" so you know we're big fans. This one had a lot of similar themes to the others -- overcoming frustration, doing the right thing, social skills, and coping skills. Readers will love that in this one Buster is dealing with someone he doesn't like -- a competitor--that he's supposed to be nice and do the parade with. This plot felt a bit less natural than the others -- a bit forced; it would have felt more natural if they were verbally sparring during a race or tournament-- but the giving Christmas spirit did play into why Buster decided to be the bigger "person" and have the other car in the parade with them and not leave him behind. Any fans of this series will gobble this one up--but, like many holiday books, this one falls a bit short of the rest of the series.

All the chaos and madness of the Christmas season is here!

This one is perfect for kids who love cars and snow!

Streets get busy during Christmas season with festive parades and yes when there are many people around, mistakes happen. There are parts which show kindness matters and being rude doesn’t do any good.

The illustration is fun and quite adventurous!

The read tends to focus more towards the cars and it gives pages of race and chaotic behaviour of the characters involved. We need to read this book with caution while interpreting the book to the kids.

Thank you, Tommy Nelson, for the ARC.

My three boys read this story about a hundred times. My dad grew up watching Dale Earnhardt and I just so loved that I got to read this to my sweet boys. It was a memory I saved forever in my heart and racing was big in our home. It wasn't football, it was nascar that was on. So to read this and have such a fun story time with my boys, was amazing. Wonderful book! Highly recommend buying this for every boy out there for Christmas.
