I read this book with my 3 year old son and we both loved it! My son has the book Busters Trip to Victory Lane and with it being one of his favorites i was so excited to get this advanced copy from Net Galley! The Punchy Motorsports team comes together for the Christmas Parade and Buster shows children how far a little kindness can go. My son loved the parade illustrations, the fire trucks and other vehicles, and we both thought the cars were so cute dressed up for. Christmas. I will definitely be purchasing this book for him this Christmas season. Thanks to Net Galley and Tommy Nelson for allowing us to read this book, all thoughts above are honest and my own.
This is such a charming book. They use the endearment Mimi for Grandmother, but at the end they list different names children use. The book is about all the different places grandmothers live and the different customs. The overall meaning is that all Grandmothers love their family and the most important thing is to be together. It’s a lovely book that I see my grandson reading for years to come. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced free copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own. I received a copy from the publisher through NetGalley.
Thank you to NetGalley for this e-copy of Buster and the Christmas Parade by Dale Earnhardt Jr in exchange for a honest review. This book is perfect for young racing fans and it teaches camaraderie and inclusiveness through Buster’s actions during the Christmas Parade. He includes Scuff a car from another racing team and they work together to get the lost Christmas tree back to the parade in time.Great bedtime read!
I wasn't sure what to expect, but this was so much fun! We especially loved the moose antlers on Buster! The story itself emphasizes kindness, acceptance, and forgiveness.
The illustrations by Ela Smietanka are exceptionally fun, with brilliant colors, and is delightful.
Well suited for reading WITH someone of any age including ESL, and great for gifting to anyone aged 4-108, but especially to a school, church library, or your local public library!
I requested and received a free temporary uncorrected e-proof on Adobe Digital Editions from Tommy Nelson via NetGalley. Thank you!

Another Squid Choice Book. This one made the three year old laugh at times and saw "awwwww" when Scuff was accepted by Buster. He had a lot of questions while we were reading and was very engaged with the story and the artwork. Definitely a good one for teaching kindness and acceptance with young kids.
This is fun and funny festive book with lots of action.
The festive setting is a bonus, and if your child likes the characters and racing cars, or cars in general, this is a good book for them,
For a picture book, the prose is crowded and lengthy, and not as rhythmic as some picture books, however for older children, this is a quick and fun read.
As a mom to little boys who can be rough with each other, I love the story behind this! The art style is so cute and the story is one that you will want to come back to again and again. Thanks NetGalley and Tommy Nelson!
Best for kids that are interested in racing so know of the author and have already read the others in the series.
I found the story very meandering and bulky almost like it hadn’t been edited. The kids struggled to stay focused despite being avid readers of any book containing cars, trucks or vehicles of any kind. There was an attempt at making a life lesson and it almost hit the mark but got lost in the overly wordy plot.
Cute illustrations
This is a Children's book that I read to my twin boys, and this is a book in the Buster the Race Car series. I have read the other books in this series before picking up this book. I found this book to be a fun read with great pictures. My boys loved the other Buster books Buster, and they really enjoyed this book too. The message in this book is a great one. I received an ARC of this book. This review is my own honest opinion about the book like all my reviews are.
This was a fun book to read with my four year old son. He loves race cars! So he was especially entertained by this book. The illustrations are bright and colorful. Each page has a lot to look at. My son had so much pointing out different things to me. This is definitely a fun book to read at Christmas time.
Very cute and well written story with a great message and lots of colorful pages to entertain any child that loves race cars and Christmas! Thank you to Netgalley, the author and the publisher for a chance to read and review this book in exchange for an honest review.
