So Hectic is the wrap up of the Silver Daughters Ink series. Tabby and Toby’s story was soo hot 🔥. Toby has crushed on his friend for so long. He’s shy and nerdy whilst Tabby is lively and outgoing. Toby thinks Tabby will never see him as anything other than a friend. After one steamy night with Toby, Tabby is excited to see where things will go. Toby ghosts Tabby and goes on to reinvent himself as a rich arrogant playboy which Tabby can’t stand. I really loved the banter between these two. It was hard to put down.
4-4.5 stars.
What a lovely end to the series. The wait for Tabby’s book was well worth it, in my opinion. When reading an Eve Dangerfield novel, you can always expect to find the steam level set to 1000, and Tabby’s book did not disappoint. It was definitely filled with an abundance of steamy, kinky scenes between Toby and Tabby, but it was the deeper plot within that really made this book shine.
Tabby and Toby’s relationship was a bit of a rollercoaster. I have to admit they both frustrated me at times (Toby more than Tabby tbh lol), but I do think they had a lot of childhood issues working against them, and they acted in a way that kept self preservation at the top of their agendas. While this is a romance novel between Toby and Tabby, and there are many things I can spoil about that here lol, I think this was a love story for the DaSilva sisters as well.
There were a lot of heavy topics in this one, and the DaSilva sisters were put through the wringer here. I especially felt for the journey that Nix and Tabby go through. There were a lot of difficult situations and emotions that they were dealing with, and I think Eve did a good job of showing them react in a very human way. When a person goes through tragic or traumatic situations, they won’t always react in a pretty way, and you could see that with the DaSilva sisters. I think that made this novel so much more riveting to me. They felt like real people struggling and reacting in ways that were unique to their personalities and learned habits. They go though so much chaos here and their relationship took heavy hits, but they come out whole, at peace, and with a sister-bond that is stronger than ever.
I won’t forget about the men that fully accept them and their chaotic selves, and do their best to hold them up when things get rough. Well, this is an Eve Dangerfield novel, so I guess I should say the men that hold them down when things get rough (insert wink here) lol. The guys had great scenes together that showed the depth of their characters. Seeing the men struggle in their own ways as well helped tie the strength this family has by the time you get to the end of the novel.
Overall, this was a wonderful way to wrap up the trilogy. Eve held nothing back here and now I’m sad that this is the last we’ll see of the DaSilva sisters. I guess I’ll just have to come back and reread the series again and enjoy the lovely final epilogue where everyone gets their own version of their HEA :’)
Tabby and Toby were fantastic together. Their romance warmed my heart. I adored their sizzling chemistry, banter and tension. I just wanted to keep on reading.
I have been waiting for this book for so long and it didn’t disappoint. It was entertaining, fun, sweet and sexy. You can always count on an entertaining read from this author.
Disclosure: I received this through netgalley.
Eve Dangerfield's "So Hectic" promises a blend of romance and chaos but falters in its execution of character development. The characters, initially intriguing, undergo abrupt and inconsistent changes that feel unearned and out of character. Despite engaging writing and chemistry between characters, the flawed character development detracts from the overall enjoyment. For readers who value consistent and well-rounded character growth, "So Hectic" may prove disappointing.
This is my first time reading Eve Dangerfield, and I enjoyed the story! The book is full of spice and well-written characters. Thanks to NetGalley for the ARC. I plan to read more of her stuff.
Great wrap up to the series, but definitely benefited from being read as a series.
I found Toby quite annoying at first and missed the character as he was in the first two books. It seemed like he had been changed to fit the authors newer books where the MMC are pretty much all the same.
Very high steam. This is where Dangerfield excels.
There needs to be TW on the page for this book including parental neglect and abandonment, miscarriages etc.
Great story with spice all throughout and even better characters that you just can’t help but love. I want more stories from this series like Maisy and even more about the Mom. They were just all so great that I need more!
ARC REVIEW (thanks NETGALLEY!)
I havent Read the rest of the series so jumping into the last book was kind of weird. Tabby and Toby (ugh) were besties and from what I gather Tabby was a super bad ass sexy tattoo artist and Toby was just a nerd with weird parents who bred dogs? One day Toby confessed to Tabby that he’s a virgin and she gets rid of that and it’s amazing for both of them. Tabby had made some off hand comment that maybe she should get herself a sugar daddy and Toby takes the idea and runs. Literally runs because he ghosts tabby for 2 years to reinvent himself. They’re reunited after 2 years and start some kind of really weird really, hot hate-sex role play relationship. Side plot involves Tabby’s dead beat mom showing back up in her and her sisters lives. Their dad (im assuming this happened in previous book) fucked off and disappeared for a few years. Idk Tabby runs away from everyone after love confession from Toby and SURPRISE she finds out she’s pregnant. Dad comes back from his sojourn or whatever. The End.
I dunno how i felt about this one the spicy scenes were pretty kinky and hot but the plot and how (mostly Toby) character changed at the turn of a page really threw me.
I'm here for Eve Dangerfield and I stayed for steam and the incredible characters like she delivers always
.
Toby works and lives surrounded by the DaSilva sisters and even though they are all beautiful, he only has eyes for Tabitha
.
the craziest and most impulsive of the sisters who only sees him as a brother. After an incredible night, Toby understands that there is no other woman for him and, above all, Taby will never see him in any other way unless things change.
.
After two years of distance they meet again and things have changed a lot for both of them but it is going to take a lot of work for her to even agree to want to talk to him, or even tattoo him and fall in love.
.
Toby and Tabitha are incredible, insane, fun and pure fire when they are together, I loved their banter and their dialogue even though I wished they would lower their weapons a little in some parts.
.
They are broken and each one carries their family conflicts like an impenetrable wall to keep people at bay, but together they find a way through everything.
.
I was ready to love everything but suddenly the rest of the sisters and the mother showed up and it was too much for me. The over the top drama, their non stop selfish and angry attitude that covered the conflict and Tabitha's feelings. Maybe it's because I didn't read the previous books and didn't fall in love with their characters, but they bothered me in order to follow Tabitha and Toby's story. They were loud, selfish and changed their minds like two teenagers despite being the older sisters. They took the focus off them just when I started to think as one of my favorites books.
.
I really enjoyed the book, and the tatto parlor scene, I always think that that's where you find the most varied people and great stories to hear.
.
Thanks to everyone Eve Dangerfield for give me a copy of this book I exchange for my honest and voluntary opinion

I read the first two books of the Silver Daughters series last year but reading So Hectic you can see that more time has passed between the firsts and last book. This was a touch angstier than Dangerfield’s early books. A kinky Great Gatsby. We as readers spend a good portion of the book pining, both from Tammy’s and Toby’s perspectives. It runs its course and we get to an extremely satisfying, even moving, conclusion. It was good because it was about all of the sisters and the whole family.
That said, I would have preferred a separate epilogue for Tammy and Toby. I also spent a lot of this book suffering the intensity of the pining and hopelessness that permeate the book. I didn’t like the time jump because that space could have been used to put some good bits, to build the relationship beyond some stolen moments.
Good conclusion to the series but not the best.
Thanks to the author and Netgalley for providing me with the ARC, opinions are my own.
So Hectic is an instant classic 5 star read for me. It had all the amazing kinky spice and laugh out loud humor I’ve come to expect from Eve Dangerfield, but also a whole lot of heart too. I found myself tearing up a few times. I’m reading the two previous books in the series asap! I’m also OBSESSED with Maisy and how she talks just like Baabara from Animal Crossing. And Mopsy the dog too, of course!
This book is a very particular enemies to lovers.
And by that I mean they started as friends and due to their shortcomings and lack of understanding they became enemies because their attraction was so big.
This book is all about big feelings, big life moments, and equally big spicy scenes. And this is extraordinary, for this book is full of substance, it's not your usual erotic romance. It left me with a lot of thoughts.
Ultimately it's about people coming from dysfunctional families trying to get their footing. There were some scenes that broke my heart and maybe I wanted Tabby to rise up more, do more. But don't we hope WE would do that?! While probably her reactions, given the terrible situation, were quite natural.
The book's main themes are this heart trial that comes as a culmination for all the 3 sisters. And the way Tabby and Toby built their relationship, which is full of hot, hot, sizzling moments and fills so much of the story. Eve Dangerfield has a special talent to create the quiet guy that unleashes in bed and Toby is a stellar example of her skill. At one point, and that is the point, the hotness gets a bit into nauseatic territory and it becomes to lose it luster.
Did I like this book?! Well, I did gave it one sleepless night of my life. Do I regret it? No. It is superbly written, it flows wonderful on the page, I couldn't put it down - hence the sleepless night. The characters have such well shaped identities and Taby is such a special one. And it was truly complex in the psychology it unravels so how can one not appreciate fully this level of talent?!
Maybe this was intriguing for me due to the heart matters. You may read it just for the hotness, and that is perfectly great, you will probably adore it, this book has so much to offer!
I got this in order to share my view on it.
You can’t be Toby Tennant’s sex slave. But I want to. You can’t. But I want to.
rating: 4.25
i can never quite explain eve dangerfield's writing bc it's always such a unique romance experience. she never follows the typical cliches and archetypes and her characters have more layers and distinct flair to them. there are moments of poetic insight into the human experience, and then her humor makes me absolutely cackle. i also read this at a nearly breakneck speed bc her dialogue just rolls right off the tongue.
Funny how so few people had a good relationship with their parents, the people who were supposed to love them more than anyone. Although, it wasn’t funny at all.
“You’re so loud!” “I know,” Tabby snapped. “Be grateful because if it weren’t for women like me, you wouldn’t be allowed to drive.”
i was so excited to get to read the final installment in the silver daughters ink series following wild child tabby and (seemingly) innocent toby. extra spicy spice with many helpings of dirty talk from him 😉
this was a fun romp with sizzling hot scenes and some angst to boot. i would love for someone to pay for my movie montage makeover 😭 my only complaint is that i really didn't care for noah's actions at one point. but all is forgiven in the end.
there was also a lovely epilogue to put a button on the dasilva girls and their guys. i will miss them!
ps: i NEED that benedetta buzziches mermaid purse now 😭
The perfect conclusion to the Silver Daughters Ink trilogy. I've been (I'm)patiently waiting for Eve to release Tabby and Toby's story and it was beyond what I expected. If you've read the first two books, this was worth the wait.
On a night out with some friends, Tabby runs into an old friend of hers that had ghosted her after sleeping together. For 2 years Tabby has held a grudge against Toby for leaving her and makes sure he knows she hates this new version of himself. Little does she know he left to make himself into the type of man she would want to spend the rest of her life with. Tabby, however, is not interested in forgiving him and Toby resorts to hiring Tabby to tattoo him under the table so he can spend time with her. Tabby only agrees because she needs to money and is looking to leave Melbourne.
If you're into alpha heroes, dirty talk, and dub/noncon scenes, pick up this book.
Whoa, Tabby and Toby hit a heat level that was all their own! We knew these two had crazy chemistry, but when it was unleashed, frenetic, cataclysmic, and stratospheric passion overtook them both in the most wild of ways. I mean, they still couldn’t communicate worth anything, and there were lots of external factors pressuring them, so the emotions were there, just manifesting differently. It did all eventually come together, and all the loose ends ties up, and HEA’s happened all around <3
