Thanks to NetGalley, the publisher and the author for the ARC in exchange for my honest review.
Seat Mates by new to me author Anna Harbom is a story filled with insight about self-worth, feeling wanted, and accepted wrapped up in humor. Readers watch the characters change and grow as the plot advances. What appears to be a cute little fake dating story has much more depth than the blurb would suggest. This turned out to be an unforgettable read. I voluntarily reviewed a copy from NetGalley. Highly recommend.
Thank you so much to the author and NetGalley for this arc. It was a delightful read, I could not put it down and I love Charlie so much please he's so sweet. I want my own Charlie!!

As Daisy Thomas embarks on the journey to her mother's wedding, dread weighs heavy on her heart. She can no longer evade the secret she's been grappling with—a burden of shame that forces her to confront her shortcomings as a daughter and lover. Little does she know, fate has a mischievous twist in store.
Seated beside a man on the plane, Daisy's irritation spikes when she realises he's the same stranger who rudely cut her off earlier. Yet, during the three-hour flight, her handsome companion transforms from a sarcastic rival into a charming conversationalist, and eventually, something more.
Amidst family upheaval and fractured relationships, the mysterious Charlie emerges as Daisy's unexpected ally, guiding her through past traumas, family tensions, and the journey to self-discovery.
This story captured my heart completely. Its realism and emotional depth, from the initial encounter to the heartfelt growth of characters like Daisy, resonated deeply with me. The writing style flowed seamlessly, making it a joy to read and easy to immerse myself in.
Daisy and Charlie's banter is fantastic, and witnessing their initial animosity evolve into friendship was heartwarming. Over just a few days, their relationship blossoms naturally and feels entirely believable.
This was a fantastic read.

A lovely romance. Daisy is reluctantly attending her mother’s wedding. She’s about to miss her flight so when another driver cuts her off, her road rage is activated. Unfortunately, the driver that cut her off (Charlie) is also the man sitting next to her on a crowed flight to Washington D.C. While Daisy gathers her courage to face her mother, she is surprised to find Charlie is a good listener and they end up chatting during their three-hour plane ride…
This was delightful. Daisy and Charlie have great banter and it was sweet to see their initial dislike transform into friendship. Set over the course of a few days, Daisy’s and Charlie’s relationship develops quickly and feels organic and believable. I was rooting for them!
Thank you to Anna Harbom and NetGalley for the opportunity to read a copy.
