I just love Murder She Wrote so much! Murder She Wrote: Killer Christmas gave me that warm, fuzzy, cozy feeling that I get when I read a cozy mystery like this! It’s set in Cabot Cove, my favorite Murder She Wrote location, and it takes place during the Christmas season! What could be better?
Though I love following Jessica on her trips across the globe, home is where the heart is, and Cabot Cove is home. I think part of the reason is the familiar characters that I’ve known for years. They’re old friends. Seth, Mort, Maureen, Mara, Dan, Eve, etc. are a big part of what makes Cabot Cove, Cabot Cove! It’s the holiday season beginning with the end of October until Christmas. The town gets the opportunity to compete for the title of Christmas Town in Maine’s tourist brochure, so planning the events takes up quite a bit of the book. I loved that because I love Christmas! I really enjoyed the Thanksgiving dinner Jessica had with her neighbor Maeve and a couple of friends. It was such a cozy scene.
The mystery involves a house that has been sitting empty for years, the seller, the buyers, and the long lost brother of the seller. And poor Eve, the realtor who always has some disaster or another happen when she’s about to make a big sale with a big commission. Just as she’s preparing to make the sale, the long lost brother comes home telling her that he’ll never sell the house! Eve’s not deterred though. She never is. Then the buyer’s wife dies under suspicious circumstances. Poor Eve. I thought that the mystery was well-plotted, and it was fun to follow the clues with Jessica and the police.
If you’re a Murder She Wrote fan, you’re going to love Killer Christmas! I highly recommend it for its very cozy setting, Christmas-y events, familiar characters that we’ve grown to love, and the mystery. I give it five stars!
I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book. All views expressed are only my honest opinion.

Nothing gets me in the Christmas spirit quite so well as a trip to Murder She Wrote’s Cabot Cove, Maine. Jessica is expecting A Killer Christmas, what with her nephew, his wife, and their adorable son coming to visit. However, Christmas is a killer this year in more ways than one.
The entire town is competing to become Maine’s Christmas Town with a whirlwind of carols, cookies, kids’ story times, elves, and a Christmas Day parade. Jessica, Seth, Mort and the gang are heavily involved in planning all the events when a woman dies mysteriously. Of course, Jessica must investigate.
All the books in this series are a delight to read. However, this one really amps up the Christmas spirit. Even though it is in the high 90s as I write this in early October, I feel a bit of snowy chill in the air and smell the aroma of gingerbread cookies wafting by. The atmosphere is perfect for reading in a comfy chair with a cup of tea nearby.
If you feel more in a New Year’s Eve mood, you could always take a shot whenever Jessica pours herself some tea or coffee. I guarantee that you will be feeling no pain within the first 100 pages. That lady loves her caffeine!
A Killer Christmas is a fun and relaxing cozy mystery. The whodunnit is easy to solve but that really isn’t the point. The setting, the upbeat characters, and just being with what feels like family is the reason to read this book. It is so enjoyable to hang out with Jessica forty years after first meeting her. She hasn’t aged at all, and now I am suddenly, or so it seems, her contemporary. Weird how that works! 4 stars!
Thanks to Great Escapes Book Tours, NetGalley and Berkley for providing me with an advanced review copy.

I always enjoy a Murder, She Wrote book but this one was an extra special treat as it takes place in Cabot Cove with lots of appearances from series regulars. It's hard not to feel cozy with Jessica and Seth and all the other familiar characters dashing around Cabot Cove trying to get it ready for Christmas. There's the pressure of a Christmas competition and realtor Eve is driving everyone crazy stressing over a sale to a weathy Bostonian.
While all the side stories get going very quickly it does take awhile for the murder to show up. I was enjoying the story and had forgotten that where Jessica Fletcher goes murder follows. When the body finally drops it was fun to get pulled into the investigation as only Jessica can investigate with the help of Seth and Sheriff Metzger of course. I did guess the whos and whys but I enjoyed getting to the solutiohn and seeing how Jessica worked everything else.
This was a fun cozy mystery that's a good cozy Christmas-y read especially if you are a fan of Murder, She Wrote and enjoy a good cozy mystery. It's not the most memorable of reads but it was fun and entertaining which is pretty much exactly what I expect when I pick up a book in this series (or watch an epsidoe of the show)!

Reliable as ever, this Murder She Wrote book was a fast and satisfying read. All the expected characters were here and most of the town was involved with Christmas preparations when there is an unexpected death…whether it was an accident, murder or suicide was not determined immediately. During a tea break with Maureen Metzger, Jessica gets a clue that cracks the case open. Now Jessica can have her happy holiday with her family, Grady, Donna and young Frank.

Murder, She Wrote never gets old for me. I love re-watching the shows and reading the books in the series. I was very excited to read A Killer Christmas.
The book is set in Cabot Cove in the Christmas season. Jessica Fletcher and the rest of the community are trying to plan a Christmas festival. Jessica attends a dinner and witnesses someone make dramatic threats. She then gets pulled into a whodunnit-style mystery involving an old homestead, a long-lost family member, and a mysterious death.
The author, Terrie Moran, does an amazing job of getting Jessica's character just right in this series. She really hits the mark in A Killer Christmas. I can almost hear Angela Lansbury's voice as I read it.
The story incorporates many recurring characters, including Realtor Eve Simpson, beauty parlor owner Lorretta, physician Seth, and the mayor. The holiday adds to the fun. The mystery is good and included several well-laid clues.
I thoroughly enjoyed A Killer Christmas and recommend it to anyone who likes Murder, She Wrote and seasonal mysteries.
Thanks to Net Galley and Berkley for the ARC. All opinions are my own.

As a devoted fan of the television series, I easily became a fan of the cozy drama/ mystery books. When a sibling disagreement over the sale of an inherited estate, the argument becomes heated when the brother verbally attacks the proposed buyer, who is later found murdered. With her usual clear thinking and knowledge of the locals, Jessica will reveal the true killer in time to keep Christmas Merry.

I just love this series and was thrilled to receive an ARC of the latest Murder she wrote book! Jessica is busy with her writing, getting ready for her nephew and his family who will be visiting for Christmas, and helping with ideas to amp up christmas activities in the hopes that Cabot Cove can win a state wide contest to be named Maines Christmas town. When a wealthy couple from Boston show up to buy the Jarvis Homestead, long lost Kenny Jarvis shows up in town to stop the sale. Murder follows and Kenny is at the top of the suspect list. Jessica isn't so sure Kenny is guilty, and once again puts her inquisitive mind to work. There are lots of suspects, Red herrings, with a few twists. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and look forward to reading the next book in this heartwarming series.

I’m dating myself here, but I watched the pilot episode of Murder, She Wrote when it first aired on TV. I knew from that very moment, despite being unfamiliar with Angela Lansbury, that I was going to love that series, and I did. It is wonderful that that it continues in this series of books that always makes me feel as though I am sitting by a fire, wrapped in a warm blanket, sipping a cup of cocoa or tea. I can easily visualize the characters from those in the series, I can hear their voices, I can smell that salty sea air.
This book, like the others in the series, captures Jessica and Cabot Cove quite well. Not all of the books in the series take place in Cabot Cove (how could they), but this one does, and those are my favorites. It also takes place around the holiday season, and that makes it even more enjoyable in my estimation. The mystery is a good one, the characters are absolute best, (I have to admit to loving Eve Simpson), the book is as enjoyable as expected, and I can’t wait for more. Many thanks to the variety of authors who have delighted us with this series over the years. Keep them coming. This Murder, She Wrote fan can never get enough.
Many thanks to NetGalley, author Terrie Farley Moran, and Dreamscape Media for providing me with an advanced digital copy in exchange for an honest review.

All the Murder She Wrote books are a delight to read. It's easy to find one's self in the midst of Cabot Cove, the murder capital of Maine. Jessica Fletcher remains a super pragmatic sleuth. A pleasant way to spend an afternoon.

ave read all of the Murder She Wrote books. The mystery in this book didn’t seem to really get explained. I’m not sure what the reason for the murder was. Some,of the characters didn’t seem to have a good reason to be there.

Christmas & Jessica Fletcher - 2 of my favorites!
Murder, She Wrote: A Killer Christmas by Jessica Fletcher and Terrie Farley Moran is a delightful addition to the beloved series, perfect for cozy mystery fans. Set in the charming town of Cabot Cove, the story unfolds as Jessica Fletcher, the famed amateur sleuth and mystery writer, prepares for the festive season. However, the holiday cheer is soon overshadowed by a murder that Jessica must solve.
The book captures the essence of the original TV series, blending nostalgia with a fresh, engaging plot. The authors skillfully weave holiday traditions and a puzzling mystery, making it an enjoyable read for both long-time fans and new readers. The familiar characters, witty dialogue, and the picturesque setting contribute to the book's charm.
Overall, "A Killer Christmas" is a heartwarming and intriguing mystery that keeps readers guessing until the very end, making it an excellent choice for a holiday read.

Welcome to Cabot Cove, Maine during the Thanksgiving to Christmas holiday season. Experience small town community pride as residents try to win a statewide contest. Add a wealthy potential newcomer, an engaging "tourist" and a murder, and you have the makings for a typical Murder, She Wrote story..
Fans of this series will not be disappointed with the latest "Murder, She Wrote: A Killer Christmas:.

Set in Cabot Cove, Maine during the Christmas season, this book finds the town vying to win a "best of" competition. Decorating the town is going very well until mysteries occur.
Eve Simpson finds a buyer for the Jarvis family's old homestead in a rich Bostonian couple Bragdon and Marlene. The long lost brother, Kenny Jarvis, shows up and announces in a menacing way that the house will NOT be sold.
The realtor seeks to go ahead and hold a dinner so that they potential buyers can meet the townsfolk, including Jessica. Kenny bursts into the gathering and threatens Marlene by stating she will never get his house.
When Marlene turns up dead Kenny is the natural suspect. Jessica isn't sure so she undertakes the task to find the real killer.
Cabot Cove is a fun place to be and this book, set with a Christmas theme, is the perfect holiday read. A little murder, a dash of nutmeg, Christmas decorations and Jessica Fletcher. What more could you ask for the season?

Being a latecomer to the Murder She Wrote television series, I am a even "latercomer" to the cozy series, so I was thrilled to receive an ARC of Murder She Wrote: A Killer Christmas from Netgalley.
This series entry has Jessica hoping to solve the murder of a rich business man's wife in the midst of the town of Cabot Cove preparing for a Christmas festival and hoping to win a statewide contest to be named Maine's Christmas town -and the prize money that would come with that title. Caught up in the mystery is a real estate transaction that may be in jeopardy because of the apparent re-emergence of a missing heir, thought to be dead.
Joining the cast of regular characters is one of Jessica's former students who has returned to Cabot Cove to enjoy early retirement. I suspect that Albert Pellecchia will become a series regular, along with long standing characters Doc Hazlitt, Sheriff Mort Metger, Mort's wife Maureen, restaurnt owner Mara, newspaper publisher Dan Andrews, etc.
These characters, led by the inimitable mystery author Jessica Fletcher, and their friendships set agains the backdrop of idyllic Cabot Cove, Maine, are the draw of this series. The Christmas theme in this book is strong and absolutely enchanting. I want to go to Cabot Cove for Christmas!
The murder itself is easy to solve and doesn't occur until more than half-way through the book; the identity of the perpetrator is obvious to anyone paying attention.
So read and enjoy as a celebration of the Christmas season, not for the mystery, which is whisper thin.
Full Disclosure--NetGalley and the publisher provided me with a digital ARC of this book. This is my honest review.
