The Hospital by Leslie Wolfe and narrated by Tanya Eby was an audiobook that was so addictive, once I started to listen to this audiobook I was hooked and found it hard to stop for a break! So glad I did not have much planned for that day!!!!
When Emma woke up she was in Hospital.
How did she get here?
She can hear sirens in the distance, She feels safe.....But,
She has no memory and her memory it is missing huge chunks.......
Now to top it all off ...........Emma can not see anything!
Someone tried to kill her!. And she can’t remember who.
WoW I want more!!! ..............This book was a page turner from the beginning till the end.
I loved it!
I highly recommend this audiobook/book and all books by Lesley Wolfe. All her books have been a 5 star read and this book The Hospital was no different! Just superb and the narrator Tanya Eby was excellent,
Big Thank you to Netgalley, Bookouture and Bookouture Audio for my ARC.
After being attacked by her stalker, Emma can’t see, can’t move, and is in the hospital. She doesn’t remember much about her past and pieces of her life keep coming in pieces. As pieces come back, she remembers her ex-husband and his conniving new wife who he cheated on her with. She remembers Adrian and how her stalker drove a wedge between the two of them. She also remembers her family, friends, and current boyfriend. As she remembers more and more, she starts to suspect that someone close to her is working with her stalker to kill her. Can she figure out who it is before it’s too late? Can she get well enough before her stalker catches up with her? Is she safe in the hospital she’s in?
Narrator, Tanya Eby does a great job of bringing to life Emma’s voice, personality, and paranoia. Her intonations and voices are easily distinguished and bring the different characters to life. Her narrative pacing is well-suited for the author’s writing style. The characters are intriguing, mysterious, and help draw the listener into the story. Although the pace drags a bit in the middle of the books, the plot’s twists and turns draw listeners deep into the story. Readers who like psychological thrillers, mysteries, and medical thrillers will want to pick this one up. Recommended for most library collections. 4 stars, ADULT

This high quality totally engaging pov audio will keep you listening into the small hours as Emma tries to remember who attacked her and left her unable to move or remember.
The narration was spot on . You need to concentrate as the story goes pre accident post accident at alarming rates. Parts of this seem convenient like key characters not recognising each other. It was a slow burner that I highly recommend.
Thank you netgallery and publisher and author and narrator
Wow! Let me start by saying the narrator, Tanya Eby, was phenomenal!!! The transition between characters was incredible. The emotion in her voice felt real. This was by far one of the best audios I'v listened too! Such a wild ride this book was! I was so invested right from the start. The twists, the turns, the suspense, the plot twist, my goodness I am nearly speechless. Every time I thought I had it figured out I was wrong. This audiobook was so captivating! It was also a quick one and perfect for that upcoming roadtrip or commute! I highly recommend this one, especially to all my thriller readers out there!
QUICK SUMMARY: Emma woke up in the hospital knowing only her name, that she was in the hospital, that she couldn't see, couldn't move, and had been attacked. Emma battles with her mind to recall the most important memories of the night this attack happened. Along the way Emma has to learn a whole new way to use her other senses as she cannot see. Will Emma ever remember? Will Emma survive? Who attacked her?
BLOG TOUR REVIEW
Review for 'The Hospital' by Leslie Wolfe.
Wow!!! Another absolutely page turning psychological thriller from this absolutely fantastic author!!!!
An absolutely gripping story filled with twists and turns to keep you guessing. It is extremely well written as well as fantastically narrated by the very talented Tanya Eby!! It kept me completely on the edge of my seat biting my nails waiting for the next twist and what was going to happen next. The storyline is realistic, compelling and addictive as well as frightening. I couldn't even begin to imagine what it must have been like and how scary it must have been for Emma to be stuck in a hospital bed not being able to see and to be completely vulnerable having no idea who is in the room with you. The medical aspects of the storyline are intriguing along with the gripping storytelling. It is filled with suspense, secrets, deceit, mystery and everything you could ask for in a fantastic book!!! I could not put it down and ended up devouring it in one sitting of a few hours!! If you have never read any of Leslie's books then you are definitely missing out!!! The fact that Leslie had done her research on medical procedurals shined through the pages!! Well done Leslie on doing plenty of research as it really puts me off a book when the author hasn't done any research and so many simple mistakes are made.
I must say a HUGE congratulations to both Leslie Wolfe as well as the narrator Tanya who did a fantastic job bringing this story to life with their brilliant descriptions and narration. I would listen to it in the car and while walking at any opportunity and Tanya did a fantastic job on both male and female characters voices!!! I'm not only looking forward to reading more books by Leslie but also to listening to more books narrated by Tanya! The characters have a mix of personalities and are all realistic with their own unique personalities. Leslie's descriptions and Tanya's narrative really brings them all to life ensuring you see everything they do and feel everything they are!!
Leslie Wolfe congratulations on yet another absolute page turner! This is exactly why you are one of my favourite authors and here is to your next success 🥂 . I would love to see this turned into a movie!!
Overall an absolutely addictive, compelling page turner that will keep you hooked from beginning to end!!

I thought I was safe here.
I was wrong.
This is quite the twisted thriller. There was definitely fishy business going on. Emma didn’t feel like she could trust anyone. By the end, it proved to live up to that with the reveal of what Emma feared.
I recognized Tanya Eby’s voice before I even knew who was narrating the audiobook. She’s perfect & I’ve loved everything I’ve heard her read!
Thank you, Leslie Wolfe, Bookouture, Bookouture audio & netgalley for my audiobook! All opinions are my own.
Listening to "The Hospital" by Leslie Wolfe is an immersive and thrilling experience that captivates from the very beginning. The audio version, with its excellent narration and gripping storyline, enhances the suspense and intensity of Wolfe's writing, making it a standout in the thriller genre.
The narrator does a superb job of bringing the characters to life, using distinct voices and tones to differentiate between them. This makes it easy to follow the story and adds depth to each character's personality. The pacing of the narration is well-matched to the plot, maintaining a steady rhythm that keeps listeners engaged throughout.
Wolfe's story is compelling, filled with twists and turns that keep you on the edge of your seat. The hospital setting is vividly described, creating an atmosphere of tension and unease that is perfectly suited to the thriller genre. The plot is well-constructed, with enough surprises to keep even seasoned thriller fans guessing.
Character development is strong, with the protagonist being particularly well-crafted. Her journey through the harrowing events at the hospital is both believable and compelling, making her a character listeners can root for. The supporting characters are also well-defined, contributing to the story's depth and complexity.
One minor drawback is that some parts of the story feel slightly drawn out, which might cause a dip in momentum. However, the narrator's skillful performance helps to mitigate this, keeping the listener's interest piqued even during the slower sections.
In summary, the audio version of "The Hospital" by Leslie Wolfe is a thrilling and engaging experience. The combination of Wolfe's gripping narrative and the narrator's excellent performance makes it a must-listen for fans of suspenseful and well-crafted thrillers. Despite a few minor pacing issues, it delivers a powerful and memorable experience that will leave listeners eager for more.
‘Thank you to Leslie Wolf, The Publishers, and NetGalley for providing a copy of this book in exchange for my honest review’
This story follows Emma, a woman who was assaulted and now has no memory of the event or events in her recent history. I liked how the story was told, following Emma as she gains more awareness and recovers more memories from the past to figure out how she ended up in this situation. I liked the flashbacks and the occasional change in POV to someone else's perspective.
I unfortunately did not love the narrator (like not bad but also not my fav), and at times, the story seemed a little slow. But overall it was a quick listen, and it kept me guessing and I needed to find out what happened!!!
Rounding up to 3.5/5
Thank you Netgalley and Bookouture Audio for the chance to listen to & review this ALC!
This was an exciting quick read, with twists along the way. Emma is in the hospital with no memory of how she got there or who put her there. She questions every relationship including her best friend, ex husband, ex boyfriend, and current partner. This was an exciting read so similar to the thrillers by Freida McFadden. The Hospital did not disappoint, and the ending was absolutely worth all the questions along the way. I give Leslie Wolfe two very enthusiast thumbs up and will read more of her work. Thank you to NetGalley, Leslie Wolfe, and Bookstore for allowing me to read this incredibly dramatic story.
I really enjoy Leslie Wolfe's work so I was excited for this audiobook and it was just as thrilling and captivating as I first thought. Great listen overall.
The Hospital by Leslie Wolfe and narrated by Tanya Eby is a dark psychological thriller, literally and figuratively as our primary protagonist (Emma) is the victim of a vicious assault, leaving her with a traumatic head injury, her wound dressing wrapped around her head and eyes, disabling her sight.
The POV of the victim gives a brilliant dimenson to a thriller, the internal experience of a victim trying to recall her past, her heightened experience of her other senses, piecing together her memory, her environment
In the world of films and celebrity, stalkers are almost considered an occupational hazard, that is until they turn deadly
Character I loved: Emma's thought processes and tenacity. Jasmine the nurse and her storyline.
Character I hated: Michaela (Mikky) Emma's Ex-husband's new gf. oooh she nasty!
The audiobook is a gripping listen, the epitome of an audiobook you cannot put down. In all honesty, I did have to start over, but I am so very glad I did because the story is exceptional! Tanya Eby even emulated the stacato speech of a head injury survivor with authenticity
Thank you to Netgalley, Bookouture Audio, the author Leslie Wolfe ad narrator Tanya Eby for this brilliant ALC. My review is left voluntarily and all opinions are my own
⭐️⭐️book came out today May 24th⭐️⭐️ book on KU⭐️⭐️
Was my first book by this author and I was pleased with how it went. This was a pretty faced paced book, but could kind of see who the ‘villain’ of the story was. Enjoyed this and would read this author again.
❤️thanks to NetGalley, the published, and the author for the arch.
Emma wakes up in hospital she can't see, move or remember much after being attacked, can her memory return before the attacker returns to finish her off. Full of intrigue and twists. A read in one sitting. Tanya Eby does an excellent job of narrating this book and you know which character is speaking and paces the book just right Thanks to Bookoutre and Netgalley for this review copy.
*3.5 ⭐
This book was slow. It did pick up in the end but nothing life changing. It was a "who done it" kind of book and honestly, it was confusing. The jumps between timelines was hard to keep up with, especially in the same chapter. I really wanted to like this book but it just fell flat to me.
Thank you Netgalley, Bookouture and Leslie Wolfe for the ARC. All opinions are my own.
The premise of this story intrigued me. The writing was good, the story was interesting and I enjoyed the journey the author took me on.
I did not really enjoy the narrator, I think they distracted from the story.
Many thanks to the author, publisher and NetGalley for gifting me this arc in exchange for an honest, unbiased review.
I enjoyed this book and the narration was good. I liked the style of story and how it kept you guessing but did feel some of the characters parts didn't come to conclusion by the end and felt I was left with questions.
The blurb sounded interesting and it started off strong but it was short lived. There is a dual storyline switching from past to present but it didn’t really work. It was done without notice which at times made the storyline hard to follow. The first half of the listen was very slow whereas the second half really ramped up the pace but it just got too far fetched and ridiculous and it really lost me. This one fell short unfortunately and just didn’t work for me.
2.5/5 🌟🌟/🌟
Thanks to Netgalley and Bookouture Audio for the opportunity to listen to and review #TheHospital
This audio book is a show stopper - one I would give to my friends. I would buy multiple copies of this book for people! After reading plenty of thrillers it takes a lot these days for me to not work out the ending but this one totally got me. Overall really clever, well written and one I will be recommending.
The premise of this book was intriguing. I read the blurb, and was instantly interested. I enjoyed being in the main character, Emma’s head as she tried to piece together what lead up to her brain injury. She wakes up and chunks of her memory are missing, and she also can’t see. The action starts right away, and we are pulled right into Emma’s world as she tries to recover.
This story is delivered in dual timelines - pre-accident and post-accident. The timelines switch sometimes in the middle of a chapter with no indication, so I was lost at times with which timeline we were in. Listening to this on audio made this aspect even more of a struggle for me. It would take me a minute to realize that I was no longer in one timeline but in the alternate one. This story was also very repetitive. I’m sure that is the case with actual TBIs in the real world, but in a book setting, it was redundant and slowed things down for me. I have mixed feeling s on this one, but I did enjoy it. I just felt the execution could’ve been better. 3.5 stars.
Tanya Eby did a great job bringing the characters to life in this book. She made me really feel all of Emma’s emotions throughout this audiobook.
Thank you NetGalley and Bookouture Audio for the ALC in exchange for my honest review.
Emily has a brain injury after being brutally attacked and when she wakes in the hospital she cannot recall anything and has partial vision loss. Slowly her memories start returning and she is starting to remember what happened. I enjoyed this book, as I have with all of Leslie Wolfeś books. The characters were interesting, there was just the right amount of twists and turns and the ending was shocking, just what I like in psychological thrillers.
Thank you NetGalley, Leslie Wolfe, and Bookouture for the ARC of The Hospital!
