This was a very interesting well written biography. LeRoy Neiman was a very popular painter, print maker, cartoonist and celebrity artist. Despite all his success he was always disappointed that his art was not taken seriously. The book begins with his childhood in Minnesota growing up on the streets, his rise as a cartoonist for Playboy and ends in New York City. The book also includes lots of illustrations. Even though I am not a fan of his artwork I enjoyed reading this book
