It’s never too early to start reading Christmas romances! This was a quick read, though not my favorite from this author.
I hadn't read a Jaqueline Snow romance in a minute, but my goodness do I love how she writes! Fun, sweet, and so sexy! Make sure to add this to your holiday reading TBRs!
Christmas Sweater Weather is a pleasant holiday romance with a festive backdrop and a heartwarming story. Charlotte's crush on her brother's best friend Hayden felt real, and I liked how her character was driven by both love and career aspirations. However, Hayden's indecisiveness as a single dad became a bit frustrating and dragged the romance out longer than necessary. The holiday competitions and sweet supporting characters, especially Hayden's daughter Gwen, added a nice touch of fun and warmth. Though it wasn’t perfect, it was an enjoyable, light read for the holiday season.
I love a good holiday romance and when I started Christmas Sweater Weather I was excited. I throughly enjoyed the banter of the first half but as it progressed it fell flat for me.
I loved this book! If you're a Christmas lover then this is the perfect read for you. The setting at the beginning of the story is set in a Christmas resort that sounds so magical that I hope one does exist! The romance! The tension! It's all there in this magical get you ready for the holidays story! Even the main characters family is ALL about this holiday! If you're over the heat like me and you need a book to put you in the holiday spirit then this is it!
If you are a person who counts down to Christmas. If you make a schedule of all the new holiday movies on Hallmark, Lifetime, and GAC, then this book is for you! A read for If you don't want to think too hard and need some Christmas spirit, maybe while drinking hot chocolate with whipped cream.
I don't know if I'm that person. The dialogue in here was cheezy and unrealistic for me. Who checks out a girl's glutes? And calls them that? The story was a bit predictable, I saw every "twist" coming. I was disappointed because the main characters were likeable and I thought this book could've been more than it was. I loved that Hayden was working to correct the boys club of college sports. His love for his daughter was great. The secondary characters felt that way though.
But this would kill it on Hallmark, so hopefully this author gets a deal. Thanks to Net Galley and Forever for this eARC in exchange for my honest review. 2.75 stars
Christmas Sweater Weather was a fun romance filled with the holiday spirit. The hotel setting with a bunch of holiday themed competitions was hilarious. I loved how this book kind of revolved round a wedding that wasn't the MCs but brought them closer together. The longing and secret crushing was perfect in this brother's best friend romance.
Charlotte was super relatable with her desire to be with Hayden. Her feelings felt real and valid. I loved that she also had big career aspirations. Her relationships with her brother and friends were sweet and fun. Hayden, on the other hand, was a bit of a mess. He had a lot going on in his life with being a single dad. I have to admit that he drove me a little batty with his antics when it came to his feelings for Charlotte. I understood why he was the way he was, but I wanted him to figure things out faster so they could be together. I'm glad he finally did.
There were fantastic characters to help Charlotte and Hayden throughout this story. Charlotte's brother Christian and his fiancée Penny were a lot of fun. I also loved their friend Garrett. That guy was a hoot. And then there was Gwen, Hayden's three-year-old daughter. She was adorable.
Overall, this was a really entertaining holiday romance read. I loved the characters and was happy with how everything ended up. I left this book feeling uplifted.
This was such a cute holiday rom com i enjoyed it so much! can’t wait to read more by this author love loved love,
CHRISTMAS SWEATER WEATHER was meant to be a Christmas in July post but I never got around to it, so… Christmas in August anyone? This is not your mother’s Christmas book – this was a spicy romance to help beat the unbearable summer temps by transporting readers to a holiday wonderland. There’s loads of Christmas spirit but doesn’t hold back on the sizzle either. Tropes include: brother’s best friend, sexy single dad, grumpy sunshine, friends to lovers, forced proximity and one night is never enough. Thanks @readforever for the digital ARC, grab your copy in October!
Thanks to Netgalley and Forever publisher for an eARC. This is a cute Christmas romance that includes brother’s best friend and single dad tropes. It has cute moments but also moments that were so cringy. For example he puts on glasses and he is so hot that she can’t speak. Just felt stuff like the mfc was immature and she annoyed me at times.
Cozy, cute and warm perfect to get ready for the holiday season! Cuddle up with this adorable Hallmark style romance.
The BEST way to get excited for the end of the year is by reading cozy and cute stories!! I absolutely loved this story and it made me so excited for sweater weather! It was a quick and cute read and I loved the chemistry of all the characters. It was such a fun & cheery holiday story. It was like watching a Hallmark movie except I got to pick all my own characters, amazing!

If you are a sucker for Hallmark Christmas movies (like myself) with a little extra spice this is the book for you! Such a cute read!

Charlotte finds herself in a snow bank on the way up to celebrating her brothers bachelor/bachelorette party. Unfortunately, the only person who can help her is Hayden, her brothers best friend. She’s had a crush on him since they were younger, but after he turned her down, she’s been avoiding being alone with him. To say she’s dreading this weekend is an understatement. However, the force proximity of the weekend seems to be good for them 🤭🤭 Hayden helps Charlotte prepare for an important interview, while Charlotte helps Hayden come up with a plan for watching and finding a nanny for his daughter. Did I forget to to mention that Hayden is a single dad? 😅
I loved watching Charlotte find her confidence throughout the book! And she is such a loyal and supportive friend, sister, etc. I really enjoyed her character! Hayden was a little too hot and cold for me at times, but it wouldn’t be a potential Hallmark movie without a 3rd act breakup, so one of the main characters had to have a flaw 🤪 Plus, his love for his daughter makes up for it!
Overall, a great read and would recommend, especially for the holidays! This is available 10/8/24.

Christmas Sweater Weather is a great holiday romance filled with over the top holiday cheer, strong family ties and so much more.
Charlotte Calhoun has loved Hayden Porter most of her life- as her brother's best friend he has always been around. But after shutting her down 3 years ago, Charlotte has accepted that her crush was of the unrequited type while also keeping her distance. When a bridal party ski trip and a snow drift force her and Hayden together, alone- for the first time in years, Charlotte realizes those feelings never quite went away but also maybe they weren't as unrequited as she thought either.
This story is such a great warm up to the holidays. The Calhoun's are over the top Christmas lovers and basically live for the holiday so this book is filled with outlandish decorations, activities and more. They are also a very close knit family- while we don't actually get a lot of time with their parents but Charlotte and Christian have such an amazing sibling relationship where they are close friends on top of being related and it just made my heart happy. In fact their whole friend group is incredibly close adding that "found" family trope into the mix. Hayden's relationship with Christian and the rest of the Calhoun's is very much one where he views them as family, especially when they welcome his daughter with open arms, but he also seems to hold back like he is afraid that they will cast him out if he makes a wrong move.
I loved Charlotte! She is so fun and entertaining- her entire demeanor is a little wild but she is also driven, passionate and intensely loyal to those in her circle. Hayden was a little more of a mystery- a bit grumpy but also tried his best to be this incredibly doting father while achieving his career dreams as well. Hayden and Char have this great chemistry and so much in common that they just make sense and click together so well. Once Charlotte drops her guard and irritation around Hayden in an attempt to rekindle the friendship they once had their desire for each other took the drivers seat. Add Hayden's adorable daughter Gwen into the mix and they make an adorable little family.
I got a bit frustrated with Hayden- despite not having a reason outside of his own insecurities he was often quick to push Charlotte away or make choices about their relationship for her. I liked that she did make him work a bit to get back on her good side but she does also give him pretty quickly as well.
Overall this is a pretty low key, just enjoyable book that will have you feeling Christmasy and lovey all in the same moment!
Thanks.to NetGalley and Forever (Grand Central Publishing) for the opportunity to read Christmas Sweater Weather by Jaqueline Snowe. A fun sexy Christmas romance - i loved it
If you are looking for an easy, upbeat holiday read, look no further. While this is not my typical genre, I did enjoy this book and was able to finish it in a weekend as it reads very quickly. Charlotte and Hayden have a history, and suddenly find themselves thrown together in close quarters on a ski weekend before Charlotte's brother's wedding. The tension builds through a series of awkward Christmas-related encounters, and eventually, Charlotte and Hayden give in to their mutual attraction. However, there are several complicating factors - Hayden's status as a single father, Charlotte's upcoming job interview, and the reluctance to tell Charlotte's brother who is also Hayden's best friend.
I liked that the storyline focused a lot on chosen family and surrounding yourself with the right people. However, there were aspects of the timeline that seemed rushed and others that I felt were more than a stretch of reality. Overall, if holiday romance is your genre, it is a quick enjoyable read.
Thank you to NetGalley for providing me with an eARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.
I like Charlotte and Hayden's story. Some of the Christmas ideas were a hoot and some secondary characters were hilarious. Having crushed on ea ch other for years and finally getting to be together was wild.
I received this ARC in exchange for my honest review.
This was a cozy holiday read that was a perfect winter equivalent to an enjoyable beach read!
Give me all the sweet Christmas stories!! This was hands down one of my favorite so far this season of ARC. I loved the main character and the sweet love she was experiencing.
This was a great follow up story to the first and it is hard to have such a great story for a sequel in so excited to get to read this and I love it so much
