I am a sucker for the brother’s best friend trope and I especially love it at Christmastime, Which is how this one is packaged. I was very excited to read “Christmas Sweater Weather” by Jaqueline Snowe.

Charlotte’s brother, Christian, is getting married, so the wedding party goes on a pre-wedding getaway to a Christmas wonderland. Of course, that means, Charlotte has to see Christian’s best friend, Hayden, again for all the festivity. Yes, the one she’s had a crush on forever. But, before she’s even made it to the resort, Hayden has to rescue after a fender bender on the way in, where Charlotte landed herself in a ditch.

When Hayden and Charlotte overhear a discussion with her brother and his soon-to-be Mrs.,talking about what they think could be the calling off of their wedding, they band together to make sure that doesn’t happen. They commit to giving their all for the Christmas-themed scavenger hunt to ensure the best time at the resort for the happy couple.

Hayden is a single dad who needs to let loose a little and she needs help with prepping for the interview as coach of the high school softball team.

While it gives the “don’t-touch-my-sister” vibe at the beginning, it doesn’t really follow through. There isn’t as much at stake with their relationship until closer at the end, and by that time I wasn’t as invested. After years of these two not talking, they just fall right into being totally smitten with each other. The storyline and dialogue is mostly just the two of them, without much else happening in the plot, other than how much they want to be together. It takes a bit longer to get to some of the other subplots. Especially with the main storyline taking place over about 24-hours.

It was a fun read but I guess I just had higher expectations for it overall. It is definitely a quick, feel good story.

I’d give it ⭐⭐⭐💫. Thank you to NetGalley and Grand Central Publishing for an advanced reader copy!

I want to begin by thanking NetGalley and Forever (Grand Central Publishing) for the opportunity to receive an advanced copy of Christmas Sweater Weather by Jaqueline Snow.
Christmas Sweater Weather was such a fun and festive read! I really enjoyed the detailed Christmas activities and the close connection between all of the characters. It is obvious that there was great detail to attention in the interactions between the characters.
Hayden is a single dad and his story provides many sweet instances throughout the story. He is also Charlotte’s brother’s best friend.
Charlotte has always had a crush on Hayden but their history is messy and they must work through this in order to see if they can have the relationship each has always dreamed about.
There are many steamy moments between Hayden and Charlotte throughout, and this creates a story that is both sweet and spicy.

This is a cute and quick Christmas rom com!! I love a good slow burn romance and this was no different. It was a little cheesy at times, but I still ate it up.

What to expect:
-Brother's best friend
-Single dad
-Found family
-Slow burn

Thank you to Forever (Grand Central Publishing) and NetGalley for granting me early digital access in exchange for my honest review!

this was okay, it felt very forced to be honest. this felt very much like a surface read and not developed enough. it is a quick holiday read but not one that i loved.

Charlotte and Hayden are absolutely adorable and I enjoyed reading about them. The ski weekend, surrounded with Christmas festivities, was like watching a movie in my head. I loved understanding a bit about their history, and the “cant be together” tension made this book completely believable. I also really enjoyed reading about Hayden as a single dad, as there arent a lot of stories out there that focus on this. Also, Gwen! Oh my! What a cutie! The plot was well versed and divided, and it had just the perfect amount of spice for me.

This was a great read, and will be even better for those that save up to read these stories around Christmas time.

This was such a cute story - and it will be the perfect read to get into the mood for the Christmas holidays. I loved all the Christmas references. I also enjoyed the slow burn of the romance and the final rapprochement of the the two main characters.

This was such a cute book! I loved the beginning so much. Charlotte and Hayden’s attraction was undeniable. Even after Hayden hurt her 3 years ago, Charlotte still loved him.

I absolutely loved Charlotte. She had no filter whatsoever and said whatever she was thinking at that exact moment. She was quirky and unapologetically herself, I laughed so much at her inner dialogue and expressions. I was so frustrated with Hayden towards the end. You’d think he would have learned his lesson with how bad he hurt Charlotte in the beginning. However, the ending was really cute.

Super cute sweet and spicy Christmas book. This brother's best friend, single father, found family story was really good. I enjoyed the chemistry build up between Charlotte the FMC and Hayden the MMC was perfect. The storyline was good as were the side characters.

After reading Snowed in for Christmas, I was happy to get Christmas Sweater Weather! It's a fun loving, Christmas book that will melt the snow. Giving off Hallmark vibes with the steamy scenes, it definitely gives the holidays a Christmas in July feel.

You must read this spicy holiday romcom! It is the perfect combination of holiday joy and love. Couldn't put it down. The fun and creative holiday games added a spark of holiday energy that fit perfectly into the book. The characters are all likable and create a fun family/friend story. Will be recommending this to everyone.

Man, I could not get interested in this book. I really tried, but it felt like there was too much going on, and it was also obvious what it was. Let me explain: Hayden, single father whose baby mama abandoned the baby in his doorstep. Years later, he gets calls and texts from an unknown number. It was very obvious this was the baby mama. Even though he replied to a text with "Who is this?", when the baby mama shows up weeks later at his house, she says she tried calling and texting him. Yet, she didn't respond to his question??? Honestly, I read the first few chapters, up to the competition, and then I couldn't take it anymore and skimmed the rest.

I really enjoyed Snowe's last book, Snowed in for Christmas, so I was excited when I received a widget from the publisher to read this one. But meh. I was disappointed. This book fell flat for me in many ways. The entire story felt forced and unbelievable. At times, I felt like I was reading a young adult novel based off of the immature dialogue and decisions made between Charlotte and Hayden. The "naughtiness" was R rated at best and extremely cheesy. I did like the characters...or at least the idea of them. I saw another reviewer say that the characters were akin to paper dolls, and she was spot on with this reference. I couldn't have said it better myself. There were no layers to them nor to the plot. The potential was there for this to be a 5-star book, but it was too much of a surface read. I think I would have enjoyed it more if there was more depth to the plot and characters. It was cute and I think many people will like it for what it is. A quick, Christmasy romance that makes you smile. I would recommend only for the sake of forming your own opinions.

This was such a fun ride. Bring on all the Christmas cheer! I laughed and I cried. My favorite part of the book was all the Christmas fun and games. I loved solving the riddles right along with the characters. I now want to visit and join in on all the festivities. This is a great book if you need a little Christmas cheer, want to get to know a great group of friends, enjoy found family and want a happily ever after sprinkled with sugar and spice. 2/5 spice level.

Meh. An incredibly mediocre book with little to no stakes, contrivances that are infuriating and characters that are little more than paper dolls. It’s a cute idea but it’s got less layers than a second string hallmark Christmas movie.

Thank you for sending the book net

Charlotte has always loved Hayden but her crush seemed to be unrequited. That is until Charlotte and Hayden find themselves together at Charlotte’s brother’s bachelor/bachelorette party at a Christmas themed resort. Hayden seems different towards Charlotte, could it be because he has feelings for her too?

Honestly this is basically a rated ‘R’ sexy hallmark Christmas movie in book form. Single Dad, cheesy lines, brothers best friend. I was intrigued from page one, can’t give any spoilers but trust me the first chapter will pull you in immediately. What more could a girl want out of a cheesy romance? If you don’t like cheesy declarations of love or smutty scenes this book probably isn’t for you. Thank you NetGalley and Forever for this eARC in exchange for an honest review.

First thank you NetGalley, Forever publishing, and the author for this advanced copy. It was an amazing book and such a fun read!

This book was ADORABLE!! It was literally like reading a Hallmark movie and I loved it. The Christmas shenanigans were hilarious! I officially want to have a Christmas cocktail competition at my next holiday party.

The story was so cute too. As teacher, I loved that Charlotte was on too. The banter and chemistry between Hayden and Charlotte was so good! You really felt the tension and just wanted them to be together. I loved the single dad vibe for Hayden, and Gwen was the most adorable 3 year old.

The side characters were hilarious! From Hayden’s mom to Garrett they were all so good and brought so much fun and heart to the study. The story flowed well and there was the perfect abound of spice for me. It was watch a cute story and really made me with it was Christmas time.

Thank you again NetGalley and publishers for this book it was such a great read!

This was a cute holiday read. I wanted a bit of a Christmas feel in July and received this ARC from NetGalley in exchange for my honest review.

It was a single dad, brother’s best friend story so there was no way I was going to turn it down. The book started off really cute and I loved Charlotte’s, the FMC, bubbly personality. She’d been crushing on Hayden for years, but he had made it clear to her that he didn’t see her that way. However, they were about to spend a lot of time together for her brother’s bachelor party. I enjoyed all the different events they participated in together and was loving all the tension!

This would have been a perfect holiday story, sweet, fluffy, and full of humor, if it had ended at the ski resort. I didn’t like Hayden’s decisions once they were back home even with his reasonings. There was too much back and forth and that third act breakup didn’t sit well with me.

Even so, it was still a quick read and satisfied my holiday craving. It would make a good palate cleanser if you were looking for something light in between reads.

The first two-thirds would’ve been a cute holiday novella, but unfortunately, the last third brought this rating down, as both Hayden’s ex returning and Hayden’s actions following it felt forced/were off putting.

A great Christmas book to get lost in. I loved the character's banter and how their relationship developed. Brava to Snowe for her writing style and talent. Thanks to NetGalley for the ARC. Five stars.
