A fun and steamy romance where you never doubt how much the main characters love each other. Tropey, but still lovely and full of heart. Hayden and Charlotte are relatable and very swoony. The Christmas setting is fun, and the maturity and talking through of feelings and futures don't temper the spice. Would recommend it to someone looking for a feel good, spicy holiday romance.
This was truly an adorable Christmas read, but was missing a few marks to make it a fantastic read. It had the wonderful holiday setting, the cute vibes, the funny family and the spice, but I missed some banter and chemistry. Not that there wasn't chemistry-but it wasn't built up enough for my liking! Hayden and Charlotte had a thing for each other for years and it was simultaneously a slow burn and extremely fast-paced, causing a bit of a rollercoaster ride and confusion while reading. The miscommunication trope is also not my favorite and I wished there was different purpose to that little plot twist, but overall it had a great ending.

Thank you to Netgalley and Forever for an ecopy of this. It looked so cute and cozy I knew I had to read it. Let me be real, it started off strong. & the tropes were amazing?? Brother’s best friend and a single dad? I love that❤️🔥 Plus he was a baseball coach!! The intro had me hooked but it quickly went downhill from there. Their “relationship” went from 0-100 real quick with no buildup. It felt very lust centered and not authentic. There was so much spice like what? I didn’t expect that and ended up skipping a lot of chapters. Even when there wasn’t spice, they were always kissing and calling each other baby🤮 They are that couple that can’t get off of each other in line at disneyland. Like extreme PDA but on pages. It was annoying. Plus besides the christmas themed resort and a few activities here and there, it wasn’t super christmasy. I went into this expecting a cozy sweet romance but unfortunately this was not that. Maybe that’s my fault for assuming and not reading the synopsis close enough. If lust/insta attraction isn’t your thing, skip this one🥲

This was a cute story themed at the Holiday times! Charlotte and Hayden were fun to watch as they reconnected after years apart after an unfortunate encounter that ended in heartbreak. They had great banter and I loved to see how they folded Hayden’s daughter into the story. I also loved seeing how they incorporated women and how they can work their way through in the male dominated sports world, even if it leaned on that one token man opening the door.
However, a lot of their love for each other was stemmed from their past growing up, and I was badly wanting to see that to believe them getting together so quickly now.
Overall, it was a super fun read and I enjoyed it!
Thanks to Forever Publishing and NetGalley for an ARC in exchange for my honest review!
This was a cute holiday romance, but it did not have particularly more depth than that. I did like the coaching women's (girl's in this case) sport subplot a lot!
Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for the ARC.

This book I think was just over hyped for me. I can see really liking it but the major lack of communication from the MMC drove me crazy. He would make these decisions based off like his own beliefs and then like be surprised that other people did not understand "why" he had to do these things. This story also just moved at a weird pace for me. He was forgiven way to fast for my like for the way he messed up. It also just felt like a lot of things were not fully through out all the way. This book had a lot of promise and I can see loving it, I guess, but I think it need more build up. Lot of good ideas just not given enough room in the story to be exoculated properly in my opinion. If you want a quick spicy holiday read I do recommend this book however, If you want more from the story then that this one might not be for you.
As it’s getting colder in my neck of the woods, I’ve been desperate to find the right wintery romance to get me in the holiday spirit. I thought Christmas Sweater Weather might have been it, but I wasn’t a huge fan. Mostly I found the writing to be clunky and distracting in my reading experience.
I really wanted to enjoy this book. I really enjoy holiday books but this one fell flat for me. The switch from not being together to being together was a strange build up. I think this was an attempt for a slow burn but it missed the make for me. I did enjoyed the side characters.
Dual POV, Spicy, Brother's Best Friend, Forced Proximity, Childhood Crush, Mutual Pining, Single Dad, Jealous MMC, Baseball Coach x Teacher
This was such a fun holiday read that gives all the Christmas vibes with a Christmas themed competition and wedding. Charlotte has spent her entire life pining for her brother's best friend and after a kiss which Hayden quickly brushed aside and told her it couldn't happen again Charlotte has forced her crush to the back of her mind. Forced to spend time together due to her father's wedding her feelings come rushing back and Hayden seems to be forgetting all the reasons he told himself she's off limits. Great banter, care taking, yearning, jealously moments, and all the Christmas cheer if you enjoy holiday romances you need to add this one to your TBR.
- Dual POV
- Second chance
- Single (hot) dad
- LOL's
- CHRISTMASSSSSSSSSSS VIBESSSSSSSSSSSSS
I do enjoy this author's holiday books. I'll be waiting until next year!
This was steamier than I expected but I'm certainly not disappointed! What a festive and fun holiday read! I'd recommend anyone who wants a slightly naughty book for the holiday season!
This is an adorable Christmas-y read. The pacing is fast and held my interest throughout. I have read previous books by this author, so was really excited for this one, and it did not disappoint.
I loved that right from the get-go we had an idea of what we were getting into with the storyline. It was pretty obvious that Hayden was supposed to be off-limits as Charlottes brother’s best friend.
The Christmas festivities and the setting at a snowy ski resort. The way the author describes the coziness of this place is perfect. Another great holiday book you'll want to grab and cuddle up with your blanket and coffee!
Jacqueline Snowe always delivers with a fun holiday read! This book was very reminiscent of a Hallmark movie. It was a fun slow-burn romance and I'm glad I picked this one up!
Thank you to Forever and Netgalley for an advanced copy in exchange for an honest review.
This was my first book by this author, but it will not be my last. I adored this book. It was just what I wanted in a holiday romance book. I recommend this book if you like single dad, brother’s best friend, hidden romance, and the best banter! I really didn’t want the book to end!
Thank you NetGalley for the opportunity to read and review this book. The review is my own.
Thanks to Forever for the ARC of this book! I truly enjoyed this Christmas romance and felt like the writing was very fun! It reminded me a little bit of a Lucy Score book, who is an author that I love. This book definitely read like a spicy Hallmark Christmas movie but in the best way. It was the perfect distraction for my day and put a smile on my face almost the entire time. It was a little cheesy but oh so sweet. If you enjoy Single dad, Brother's Best Friend and Secret romance tropes with a little splash of Christmas, this one is for you! I will be looking out for more books by this author in the future!
A really enjoyable Christmas novel.
If there's one thing Charlotte Calhoun has tried her best to do these past three years, it's been avoiding Hayden Porter. Her brothers best friend. Single dad. Good guy. Also the one who shut her down three years ago when she was 21.
But then comes her brothers wedding. And the bachelor party. Which means the two of them are going to be in proximity of each other.
I really did like this one. The Calhouns are a Christmas family. So a bachelor party around this time makes since. And it's also giving Hayden a break. And making him admit somethings that he's been hiding these past three years.
I liked both of these MCs and all the supporting characters. Charlotte wasn't an immediate yes girl which I always respect.
If you'd like a sweet holiday novel with a HEA give this one a chance.
This book is like a spicy version of a cheesy Hallmark Christmas movie. I like the single dad, brother’s best friend, and found family tropes. The dialogue was so cringey to me at times & the plot was a little ridiculous, but I think that is to be expected from this type of book. A cute little holiday rom com!
What a perfect book to get you into the holiday cheer! The author did an amazing job with the pacing, the setting, the characters, the banter, the CHEMISTRY!!!, and the plot. The single dad, brother’s best friend trope really did it for me. I loved this one. It’s such a cozy and fun read with amazing growth from both main characters. Only complaint is that the holiday aspects sort of fell off after a bit towards the middle of the book!
Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for providing me with a digital copy for review.
This was a cute book to kick off the holiday season. I liked the message it sent and I fell in love with pretty much all the characters. I thought our two main characters, Charlotte and Hayden, had great chemistry. The writing was good. Very solid. Overall I would definitely recommend this book to romance lovers and those who like Christmas books. This does have more spice than one would typically find in a holiday book but still very much enjoyed this.
This was a super cute story. I loved the setting and the FMC, the MMC was a bit infuriating at times, sometimes it felt justifiable his reticence, other times was like really? However it brought the christmassy vibes and I loved the side characters and it just was a really good time.
