After getting stuck in a snowdrift on the way to a ski resort to celebrate with her brother and his fiancee, Charlotte would do anything to avoid being with her brother's best friend Hayden. After he rejected Charlotte years ago, she's done everything she can to avoid him. Their one night stand turns into so much more. They try to keep it a secret, but the cat is eventually out of the bag. This story is about celebration, forgiveness, immense holiday spirit, and a found family who rally around single father Hayden when he needs childcare and help in general. It was also about courage to try new things and go for what you want. The steamy parts were icing on the cake.

I received an advance copy of this book at my request and voluntarily left this review.

I read this in a string of a books and didn't post a review right away. When it came time to writing about this book, I couldn't remember it at all, even looking at its summary. I had to go back and skim some of it. Clearly, this book didn't entertain me enough for me to recall anything about it. Meg. 2.5 stars since I did finish it.

Thank you to Forever Publishing for giving me the chance to read an early digital copy of Christmas Sweater Weather; I was able to snag this title as a Read Now. If you are looking for the perfect book to kick off your holiday reading, look no further than Christmas Sweater Weather. This is the first book by Jaqueline Snowe that I have read, and after reading this one, I am excited to go back and read her previous Christmas title. Christmas Sweater Weather has some of my favorite tropes: single dad and best friend's sibling, not to mention, its holiday setting. You can't help but root for Charlotte and Hayden from the beginning. There chemistry is undeniable and feels genuine. I think I like the best friend's sibling trope because it's like the two people have known so many different versions of each other. In this one, there is plenty of tension and angst, vulnerability, and steam (oh my!). This book will have you wanting to cozy up by the fireplace or take a week-long trip to a ski resort with your best gal pals. "The best way to spread holiday cheer is singing loud for everyone to hear!" Can we get this made into a Hallmark movie?

+Description:
Charlotte Calhoun is headed to a ski resort for her brother’s bachelor party, and a weekend stuck with her brother’s best friend, who just so happens to be the extremely attractive Hayden Porter. It wouldn’t be so bad, if Hayden hadn’t rejected her years ago and made it clear that he only sees her as a kid sister. Now it’s just awkward, and those feelings haven’t gone away. But what happens when a wedding and the magic of Christmas (and a rogue snowbank) throw the two together?

+Likes:
Christmassy: The book definitely felt Christmassy and fun, especially the second half. I loved the scene where everyone gets together for an annual Christmas meal (can’t really go into much more detail than that without risking spoilers!) because it reminded me of some get-togethers from when I was young. I was regretting having to read a Christmas book in the fall, but I’m glad I did because I definitely am feeling more into the season than I was before!

+Eh:
--Character Development: The characters fell a bit flat for me in this book. There was a lot of exposition that told me what a character was like, but not a lot of character action to show it. If that makes sense.

--Pacing: This was an issue throughout the book. Sometimes, there were parts skipped over that should’ve been, other times they weren’t. Some dialogue went on for too long, and I would’ve loved to have gotten more into what all happened after the ski resort scenes. Instead, I felt like the last half of the book was rushed while the first half could’ve picked up the pace a bit.

--Dialogue: Some of the dialogue didn’t feel organic, but instead felt forced or unrealistic. I don’t know how else to describe it, but it was a bit choppy in places.

--Spicy scenes: I know, I know. I’m going to be in the minority here. The spicy scenes didn’t really fit the rest of the book well. Maybe I just have a disconnect between fun Christmas romances and this level of spice, but yeah… it just didn’t flow well for me, personally!

(Disclaimer: I’m also just not a fan of spicy scenes in general–they always feel so awkward to me!)

+Do I recommend? Christmas Sweater Weather was like a Hallmark movie, but with some language and some pretty graphic spice. So, if you’re into those, then maybe. If you like spice and slightly corny and humorous Christmas romance novels, go for this one. If you don’t like spice, you can skip those sections–they’re not long. If you’re iffy about the romance genre in general, I probably wouldn’t recommend this one.

Charlotte and Hayden have been in love for years. They've had some up and downs over the years. There is a plot line of forbidden romance with being brothers best friend mixed in there.

Charlotte and the friend group get together to play some reindeer games to make sure her brother has the best wedding possible. The resort they stayed at was holiday themed, but once they left the resort, the holiday theme died off a bit.

Hayden is a single parent and he tends to think he can't be the best parent if he's dating. There is quite a bit back and forth with his feelings despite him knowing he wants to be with Charlotte.

This was a fast paced, holiday themed read. It seemed like the story jumped around at times because of how fast paced it was. I thought the romance was a bit cheesy and overdone.

This sorry wasn't for me, but it was a cute read inbetween books.

Thank you to Forever and NetGalley for my honest review.

Christmas Sweater Weather was a cute, Christmas theme (obviously) romance between main character Charolette, and her older brother’s best friend Hayden. I loved the found family aspects and enjoyed the descriptions of the unhinged Christmas resort.

Giggling and kicking my feet through this whole book. Spicy, sweet, and all the holiday vibes, this book was so cozy

Definitely not for me. Both main characters were hopelessly immature. Charlotte was acting like a tween most of the time. Even the side characters were acting like teens. It was odd having H whine about not having anyone to care for his daughter while still sounding like a surly teen boy. The story with him being attracted to Char but blowing her off and having a baby with someone else just felt weird. His relationship with Christian seemed more important to him. All of this gave the book an uncomfortable vibe

Christmas Sweater Weather is the perfect novel for the holidays. It’s so darn cute, and filled with holiday cheer. Despite the cutesy cover is filled with spicy goodness between a single dad and his best friend’s little sister. The tension between these two was THICK! They’ve liked each other for years, but have always been too afraid to admit their feelings. Even though practically the whole family knows they’re obsessed with each other, these idiots are as oblivious as can be.

Which somehow made it even more cute. He’s a single dad trying to find care for his adorable daughter Gwen. He’s totally stressed about life, and needs someone to help but isn’t used to asking for help. Meanwhile Charlotte is more than happy to help while he figures things out.

Charlotte is actually experiencing her own struggle at work and could really use Hayden’s help in return. It was so cute how they made each other better. They’re both drowning in stressors, and just needed a shoulder to lean on. Little did they know, the person they could count on most has always been by their side. This book plays out a lot like a second chance romance and I loved the way their relationship bloomed.

Especially when mixed in with all the cutesy Christmas celebrations. I was hooked. I highly recommend this book if you’re in the mood for some winter cheer.

A huge thank you to the Publisher for the copy of this adorable book! It was my first from this author and I cannot wait to read more from her.

A delightfully spicy holiday romance that warms up the classic best-friend's-sibling and single dad tropes with steamy chemistry and festive charm. Set against the cozy backdrop of a snowy ski resort, this sweet yet sultry tale follows the secret romance between single dad Hayden and Charlotte, whose childhood crush has evolved into something much more complicated. A fun holiday read to kick off your Hallmark season.

Hayden and Charlotte have been in love with each other for yearssss but after one kiss went horribly wrong they've avoided each other the past few years.
However, after a weekend away for a pre wedding getaway for Hayden's best friend, aka charlotte's brother, they might finally get the chance to mend the fences and end up together!
This was a super cute and quick holiday read that transports you into the picturesque winter wonderland that I know I personally dream about around Christmas!
It's the perfect book to get you into the holiday spirit.
Hayden and Charlotte had great chemistry and I loved the way they built each other up and genuinely wanted to be there for each other. I also loved the tid bit at the end of Hayden realizing he needed to work on his mental health in order to be a better partner and parent.

I loved this spicy, fun, tender story!!!! Jaqueline Snowe write such lovely Christmas romances, perfect if you’re looking for a spicy hallmark book!

Charlotte and Hayden have such a fun, spicy romance in this story. I love a single parent and brothers best friend story, especially in a mountain ski resort, snowed in for the holidays! it’s the perfect recipe for an explosion of secret crushes, new realizations, and spicy new beginnings. it’s such a loving, tender, sweet story as Hayden wrangles being a single father with realizing Charlotte is who’s he’s been looking for all along.

I just loved this spicy, lovely, holiday story!!! thank you for the arc!

Holiday romance and brother's best friend tropes? I am here for that! I really enjoyed most of this super cute, spicy Hallmark Christmas movie in a book. The third-act, however, felt unnecessary and took me out of my enjoyment. I will also say that the timing of the initial birthday encounter and the baby announcement gave me a bit of an ick. But overall, a fun and easy read and a great addition to a holiday romance shelf.

3.5 stars rounded to 4. Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for a complimentary copy of this book. These opinions are my own.

Thank you @readforver for the netgalley e-arc of this book!

This was such a fun holiday read! It was steamy, cute and filled with Christmas cheer!

Charlotte has had a crush on her brother best friend Hayden practically her whole life. But she has had to keep it locked down ever since he turned her down on her 21st birthday when she kissed him.
Now Charlotte has to spend the weekend with him for her brother’s bachelor/bachelorette party. Right away she’s stuck with Hayden when she gets into a car accident and has to ride the rest of the way there with him. What she hates is how much she still likes him and their ease at their friendship. When the weekend continues to push them together and they fall back into a rhythm they realize they are both fighting the feelings.
Hayden is a single father and continues to push Charlotte away in hopes he doesn’t hurt her. But his pushing is ruining him as well as her.

This was such a great holiday read. The families are obsessed with Christmas! A Christmas bachelor/bachelorette party at a ski resort along with a Christmas wedding! And if you’re looking for a steamy book that has all the holiday feels this is it!

I read much slower the more I like a book, the banter or characters. I loved the writing in this story and found myself reading a couple of pages and putting it down. Not because I was busy or bored, but unconsciously trying to make it last longer. It hit all the right spots for me. My favorite troupe, a secret crush on both sides, fun banter and absurd situations. And, of course, some steamy interludes. An all around joyful and romantic story. A few tears of happiness for me as the sentimental snuck in too.

Charlotte has loved her brother's best friend, Hayden, for a long time. But after he rejected her years ago, she has avoided any alone time with him. Until they were forced together in the lead up to her brother's wedding.

Hayden is a phenomenal character, in part because he is a single dad to a delightful little girl. But more than that, even though he turned Charlotte down, he sees her. There's something so delightful about a MMC who remembers her coffee order and goes out of the way to do little things.

I really enjoyed the family dynamics at play. Her family is so fun and into all things Christmas. And the time they spend at a ski resort is just a delight.

But the pacing felt a bit inconsistent. After a really fast start, the book slowed down much more than I would expect. And the character growth from Hayden occurred too late in the story for me.

This is a fun book for getting into the Christmas spirit, but it wasn't my favorite for the romance.

It's time for Christmas Sweater Weather. This book is aptly named as it takes place at Christmas time and there are a lot of sweaters :)

I really enjoyed the chemistry between Charlotte and Hayden, who is her brother's best friend and a single dad. Turns out that they both have had a thing for each other for years. Charlotte tried to shoot her shot a few years ago but was turned down for reasons we find out in the book.

Charlotte is a wonderful character who is trying to reach for her dream in a male filled industry. Hayden has his sweet moments. There are also times I wanted to shake him but as a single dad, he has a lot of things going on. I really appreciated the growth of both characters in the book.

This book has a slow burn until about 50% through the book then there are some nice steamy scenes.

Thank you to NetGalley and Forever for the e-ARC of this book. This review is my own opinion.

This was a cute Christmas romance with baseball mixed in.

The Calhouns' are Christmas fanatics, and it was fun to read about their Christmas traditions. The friend group was fabulous, and we love a well done brother's best friend. I really enjoyed Charlotte & Hayden together.

This was slow at times, and a spicy version of a Hallmark movie. The third act break up was typical and frustrating. But the ending did redeem itself a bit.

Thanks to NetGalley & Forever (Grand Central Pub) for an advance copy!
