Thank you to NetGalley for sending me this copy to review.
This book had me at brother’s best friend/single dad yes please!! This was the perfect slow burn holiday read! This is the perfect book to curl up with a cozy blanket and a hot chocolate.
Charlotte was the perfect strong independent MFC that you can help but love. While Hayden was hot single dad who doesn’t think he deserves love. The two of them together with their banter and slow burn was amazing.
One personal preference not a fan of miscommunication but besides that it’s the perfect holiday romance read!!
This was a DNF for me unfortunately. When reading the synopsis I was excited for a cute holiday romance, but feel that it fell flat for me. The characters lacked depth, and although they had know each other most of their lives, we as readers didn’t get much backstory or build up. The first few chapters felt rushed. I called it quits at 29% of this book.
This was another cute, slow burn Christmas romance. It was steamy, heartfelt and full of festive cheer! The Christmas festivities and the setting at a snowy ski resort. The way the author describes the coziness of this place is perfect. Another great holiday book you'll want to grab and cuddle up with your blanket and coffee!
Thank you to the publisher and netgalley for the gifted copy in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own.
3.5 Stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️💫
Christmas Sweater Weather is the first holiday book I've read this season, and it was really cute and fun!
During her brother's bachelor party weekend at a snowy resort, Charlotte tries her best to hide her feelings for his best friend, Hayden. Adjoining rooms at the hotel and being in achingly close proximity during all of the festive activities makes it difficult for them to resist the pull between them for long.
Throughout the Christmas themed competition, I felt like I was smack dab in the middle of a Hallmark flick. There was excitement, heated gazes, flirting, ribbons, gifts, banter, ugly sweaters, and laughter.
When Hayden and Charlotte finally got together, sparks flew!
Though it made sense, I do wish the climax was a little less predictable. I'm glad the conflict was resolved pretty fast, and everyone was able to move forward in pursuit of their HEA.
If you're in the mood for a charming, light, and quick read, check out Christmas Sweater Weather.

If you enjoy over-the-top Christmas shenanigans, single dad heroes, heroines you'd like to be besties with, and steamy, heartfelt romance, you'll want to add Christmas Sweater Weather to your holiday reading list. It made me laugh, made me cry (happy tears!), and left me eager for the next Jaqueline Snowe novel.
So many feelings in this book. It's fun, saucy, and funny but that's just the surface. There's an emotional depth to these characters too, especially Hayden and Charlotte, that adds layers to both the characters and their journey to a happy ending. Snowe takes her time with them, allowing their relationship to grow at an organic, relatable pace, especially considering the awkwardness between them as the story opens. Chemistry is never a problem but there are other issues to be addressed. I appreciate the time given for them to grow, both individually and as a couple, and the methods implemented to help them do so. I like the communication between them and how they handle issues when it lapses. And I love the supportive and caring family that surrounds them, both biological and chosen.
I enthusiastically recommend adding Christmas Sweater Weather to your holiday reading list. It's a charming heart-tugger that kept me happily reading from start to finish. If you enjoy this one, I suggest you also check out Snowe's 2023 holiday novel, Snowed in for Christmas.
4.5 stars
This was such a joy of a story! I adored Charlotte and Hayden and the dynamic between them. Dare I say Hallmark with a bit of spice? Because that's what it felt like to me, Just such a festive treat!
Highly recommend!
This was delightful! The holiday vibes and the chemistry were on point! This may be one of the most enjoyable holidays romances I’ve read to date ☺️. Thank you so much to Forever Publishing for my ARC, I truly appreciate it!
Such a cute story! If you are looking for a pretty low angst Christmas romance, this is it!
It has aspects of
- friends to lovers
- forbidden romance
- second chance romance
- hot single dad
This was a very enjoyable read that I breezed through in a day while sick on the couch.
Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for an arc. All opinions expressed are my own.
Such a good (and steamy) holiday romance and it got me in the spirit for the season!! Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the advanced copy.
A cute, seasonal holiday romance. And if you're looking for spice, you found the right book!
I enjoyed the premise and the setting. I didn't get magical holiday vibes, but it is definitely holiday. I would have loved a little more development between Hayden and Charlotte and their romance. It just felt a little thrown together. If you're not needing the relationship development and like insta-love, this one would be a good one for you. Also, here for the brother's best friend trope!
This was a quick and easy holiday romance, single dad and brothers best friend are my favorites! I really enjoyed most of this book but i felt like the third act situation just wasnt for me and i felt like it was unnecessary. Other than that though i really liked this one! Charlotte and Hayden were so good together and I just loved their chemistry and relationship.
A cute friends to lovers with so much Christmas Joy and just as much spice! The christmas themed resort, games and Christmas Eve wedding were fun ways to tie the holidays into the story. I loved watching a group of competitive people own their competitiveness lol. As a fellow competitive person, I love to see people go all in and go hard to win, haha! Knowing the history between Charlotte & Hayden made their story great.
🎄🌟❄️⛄️🧣🍾☕️💍
I had such a fun time reading Charlotte and Hayden’s story. They were so much fun to read, I loved the festivities that surrounded them, their joy and love of each other was so exciting🫶
This brother’s best friend, friends to lovers single dad second chance romance was such an incredible start to the Christmas season coming soon! Truly! I can not wait to read more of Jaqueline’s work💚
Hayden and Charlotte have a history. And now helping each other? Being close to each other for Charlotte’s brother’s wedding? Oh the sparks fly! I loved seeing Hayden interact with everyone and his daughter, he’s definitely a DILF😚 I loved seeing Charlotte be exactly her and say F the patriarchy when she knew what she wanted.

I enjoyed Snowed in for Christmas so much, so I was thrilled to find out that Jacqueline was releasing another Christmas story! This one did not disappoint! I loved Charlotte and Hayden's story!
This story brings *literally all* of the Christmas spirit you could want.. throw in a pre-Christmas day wedding celebration at a decked out hotel with a holiday themed competition.
Read if you love:
- Christmas
- Families who LOVE Christmas
- Second chances
- Single dad baseball coach who wants to take care of everyone
- Former college athletes
- Best friend's little sister
- Mature adult relationships
- Sibling shenanigans
- The sweetest little girl
- Family drama
- A man who wants to make sure you're on the same page
good romance and loved how they found love and each other. They survived their trials and found their way back to each other. another great romance.
I loved the premise of this book and the plot line. I did not love the FMC though. She just seemed over the top immature and hard to connect with. I felt the same way about Snowed In and was hoping this one would offer a different type of FMC. I love the way the steamy scenes are written. Over, it’s a cute holiday romance with some spice and perfect for those who don’t crave a specific type of FMC
This was a quick, fun read but unfortunately it didn't really feel like a memorable story, to me. I was really looking forward to those snowed-in, cozy, Christmas vibes based on the cover and the blurb but it didn't really read that way to me. It did take place over the holidays but that's about it. I love a cheesy, Hallmark-like story but this was almost too cheesy at times.
*I received an ARC from NetGalley for voluntary review
Premise: What happens when you have to share an adjoining room at a snowy ski resort during your brother's bachelor party with his hot best friend, who you've crushed on for years (even though he broke your heart when he rejected you years earlier)? And you realise he feels the same way? A holiday fling commences!
What to expect:
- holiday romance
- brother's best friend (a.k.a forbidden romance)
- secret romance
- single dad coach!
- childhood crush
- forced proximity
- fantastic banter!
- found family
- dual pov
This was a fun, fast-paced, and humorous read that perfect captures that Hallmark Christmas feel with a dash of spice!
Thank you to NetGalley and the publishers for this cute and funny holiday romance!
The book is centered on Charlotte, who is in love with her brother's best friend and single father Hayden, but was rejected by him three years prior, and there has been an awkward rift between them since. When they all go away for a holiday weekend before her brother's wedding, Charlotte and Hayden are forced to spend more time together. Their relationship slowly builds, and they both realize there are deep romantic feelings for each other.
The book was light and easy to read. Their Christmas getaway was my favorite part. I loved the silly holiday games they played. It was cheesy in a fun way. If you're looking for a light and flirty holiday romance, this is a cute one.
Christmas Sweater Weather by Jacqueline Snowe is the perfect holiday read for all the Christmas Hallmark movie lovers out there. Along with the Hallmark movie vibes, the book contains the tropes of brothers best friend and single dad romance. The book starts with Charlotte, on the way to a ski lodge to meet her brother and his fiancé for a bachelor/bachelorette party. Charlotte has an accident on the way to the lodge and her brothers best friend, Hayden, ends up rescuing her. The two are forced together for a weekend of holiday fun and competition, leading them to acknowledge their feelings for one another, albeit mixed with some additional complications.
Thank you to the publisher, Forever (Grand Central Publishing), NetGalley and the author for an eARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.
