I loved jax and sasha! their story was one that I wish I could read again for the first time! a small town, accidental pregnancy cowboy romance where heโs her boss and sprinkle in some forced proximity and workplace romance - tell me this isnโt just the perfect romance read!
jax is the ultimate book boyfriend! the way he was with sasha was pure perfection, he was so affectionate and there for her!

I loved that jax was there for sasha and their baby, the way he calls her my josephine before she was even born was something else entirely!
I loved that even though sasha tried to push jax away he didnโt let her and was there every step of the way! their relationship was a bit of a rollercoaster but they get their happy ever after

This book was fantastic as are all Devney Perry books! Sunlight is the second book in the Haven River Ranch series. This is a secret crush on your sort of boss that leads to a one night stand and an accidental pregnancy book. It follows the story of Jax and Sasha, heโs one of the owners of Haven River Ranch and sheโs a ranch hand thatโs trying to avoid lifeโs distractions. But watching them fall in love while navigating past traumas and growing together was chefโs kiss!

"Tell me a lie.." I hated this book (IYKYK)
Sunlight is the 2nd book in the Haven River Ranch series, and if you have not yet read it, I strongly encourage you to. I'm not sure if I'm biased because Crossroads was the book that made me fall in love with @devneyperry 's writing style, but I have to say that Sunlight was one of my favorite Devney reads!
"Tell me a secret..."
This book made my heart swell. The story starts off with the cutest meet cute of Jax and Sasha. I loved the element of unknown when it came to Sasha's personal history. It kept me guessing right up until the end. And the way that Jax falls so hard for her, and so wholly, it just made me feel so lucky to get to read such an endearing story. Jax and Sasha literally make the perfect couple! The character development of not only Jax and Sasha, but also that of Lily, added an additional element of joy for me. It was lovely to see Jax and Lily at the start of healing their relationship through the development of Jax's own little family.
"Tell me a lie..." the characters are horrible

Devney Perry has a way of writing her characters that make the reader feel as though these are real life people, friends, family.
I've not quite found anything like it in other books so consistently. Jax and Sasha are no different. They are brought to life so vividly that they remain with you long after you turn the last page.
I HIGHLY recommend reading Devney Perry's books if you're looking for some lovely, spicy romance with outstanding characters, plot twists, and just an all-around good read.
I gave โข Sunlight โข 5-stars and cannot wait to get back to Haven River Ranch one day! *****

I want to go and live in Montana on Haven River Ranch ๐ฉ but maybe only in the summer, Iโm not sure I could handle all the snow!
As always Devney tells a beautiful story, with great scene setting and lots of romance, I read it in one sitting. Itโs fabulously written and Iโm so happy that Jax got his HEA, Sasha is perfect for him, (though I still donโt think Iโm ready to forgive Lily for the way she treated him as a child).
Really looking forward to Devneyโs next book.

It was so nice to be back in Haven River Ranch again.
Sunlight is the story of Jax and Sasha. Both are trying to navigate their way through their own hardships. It is a story of heartbreak, forgiveness and love. Such a beautiful and emotional journey.
Jax is the fun loving playboy who rocks a cowboy hat. He isnโt know to take life too seriously and he is always down for a good time. Under the flirty exterior is a broken hearted boy, who was betrayed and longs to be loved.
Sasha is a force. Stepping up after her parentโs tragic death was never something she expected. At the time she was just a kid herself but nothing is more important to her than family. That is how she finds herself on Haven River Ranch.
Her meet cute with Jax at the supermarket sparks hope in her. Maybe something is going to go right for a change. Until his says his name. She CANNOT crush on her BOSS.
The chemistry between Jax and Sasha is obvious from the start. But once Sasha learns that Jax is her boss, she stuffs down her feelings and pretends to loathe his presence. Unfortunately for her Jax is persistent. Even though she ices him out Jaxโs feelings never waver. He is so steadfast in his love for her it is able to withstand her efforts to push him away.
Now, with a little pink plus sign both are forced together which is exactly where they are meant to be. Sasha does not make it easy on him, but Jax never gives up.
My heart was so full after reading this. Jax loves Sasha so much that he wouldnโt give her up. And the banter between these two was top tier. Jax was perfect but as a daddy?? Absolutely nothing better. When he says โYouโre carrying my Josephineโฆโ I was DONE.
โtell me a lieโ โI hate Montanaโ
โtell me a secretโ โI love youโ
^the moment my heart melted to a puddle.
Thank you Devney Perry, Valentine PR & NetGalley for the opportunity to read and review this advanced copy.

Received this book as an ARC
Enjoyable story, accidental pregnancy trope. Love Ms.Perryโs writing style she always does a great job of creating an interesting story. Jax and Sasha are the cutest couple their pacing made sense. Enjoyed reading Sashaโs backstory and her journey to healing. Jax was the perfect gentle man of course, loved how he showed his love for her and defended her. Looking forward to reading the rest of the series.

This was utterly phenomenal. It's one of the ultimate accidental pregnancy books. Jax and Sasha completely own my heart and Haven River Ranch is a place I will always visit just to be with these character. Jax hasn't had it easy but he's found his place with West, his friends, and the horses. Montana has always been home. Sasha has faced some of the toughest situations and currently it feels like there is no one who is there for her and she's stuck in a place that doesn't feel anything like home. The connection and relationship that grows between these two is one that I hope I get to mirror or take elements from in the future. How Jax understands Sasha and meets her where she's at. How Sasha learns to let someone in again, maybe even start to trust a little more, is burned into my heart.
Devney's writing throughout this story is stunning. How she captures the fear, the unknown and unexpected excitement as well as all the challenges that these two face is just awe inspiring. When I finished this one - I really didn't know what to do next because I just wanted to bask in the perfection that is Sunlight. One of my favourite Devney Perry books ever.

Life can weigh us down, throwing obstacles that leave us scarred. But sometimes, escape comes in unexpected places, like a new job on a breathtaking ranch in Montana, where we meet a cowboy with a smirk that could stop time.
Devney Perry has a way of weaving romance with mystery that never fails to astonish me. Set against the stunning backdrop of Haven Ranch, Montana, the landscape itself feels almost too beautiful to be real. And yet, in my mind, it is. Devney masterfully delves into her charactersโ hearts, revealing why they are who they are and what has shaped them along the way.
Then, of course, thereโs the romance. This is an accidental pregnancy trope, one that often stirs mixed feelings, but in this case, it felt especially poignant. I loved how tenderly they navigated it, with Jax fiercely protective of Sasha, and Sasha resilient despite the hardships life had thrown her way.
If youโre looking for a small town romance with real depth, this is it.
Thank you, Devney, and Valentine PR for the chance to dive into this world with this ARC.

I enjoyed Sunlight so much!
Devney thrive with an accidental pregnancy romance!
I wish we had more of the Haven River Ranch series because I love it!

Don't walk, RUN back to Haven River Ranch - trust me, Jax will not disappoint!! A serial playboy meets the new girl in town while she's being accused of stealing a grocery cart ๐คญ Little does Jax know, the one person who stirs up authentic feelings in him is about to be his employee.
This love story was so genuine!! The amount of support Jax shows Sasha was unbelievably refreshing. He took it slow, just like she needed, && demonstrated real actions, not just words. I love their love! Jax && Sasha forever โค๏ธ

I was excited to dive into this and it didn't disappoint. We met Jax in his brother's book and his backstory was very appealing to me. Jax was the product of an affair his dad had many years before and I was curious to see how that impacted who he was and what would happen with his story. He first comes across Sasha and they have a bit of a meet cute before Sasha realizes, unbeknown to Jax, that he is her new employer and puts distance between them.
This story had so much going on with it, both in what we see on the surface and then all the complex, nuances of what is not obvious. Both Sasha and Jax portray themselves to the world in one way, but are really very different at heart. In addition they both have things from their past they are grappling with and I spent a huge chunk of the book turning pages waiting for the reveal to Sasha's mysterious past.
I loved the slow buildup of Jax and Sasha's relationship. They have time to really get to know each other and grow together and there were aspects of that I just loved. The ending was perfect and definitely left me with a huge smile on my face.

Devney really does not disappoint! Her books are too good.
Iโm a sucker for a pregnancy book and this one was such a good read. Jax and Sasha was perfect ๐ฅฐthe slow burn was so worth it at the end, both MCS deserved the HEA they got. The whole book was so wholesome, Devneys writing is really something else, and I will read EVERY book she releases!
Thank you for letting me read this ARC

Have you read Sunlight yet?? If not, you are missing out!
Sasha and Jax first meet at a grocery store, and they really hit it off... until she realizes that he is one of her bosses at her new job, ya that ain't happening.
They have some smoking chemistry, and the heat just keeps building and building until it boils over and they decide on jist one night...welp that one night resulted in a baby, so it definitely wont be stoping at the one night stand.
I absolutely loved their story. It had me captivated from beginning to end.

Thank you so so much to @valentine_pr_ and Devney for the ARC of Sunlight, I think there is something so special about an author trusting you with their work and I cannot thank you enough ๐ซถ๐ป
Read if you like;
๐ small town cowboy romance
๐ one night stand
๐ accidental pregnancy
๐ workplace romance
๐ forced proximity (ish)
๐ instant attraction
Also read if you donโt like any of the above because this book will convert you๐
I absolute loved it, I had no doubt that I would but I loved it, I tried not to binge it but failed miserably and now Iโm sad itโs over, a few little bits made me think maybe weโll get a book 3 about a certain couple of characters and gosh I hope we do because Iโm not ready to say goodbye to a Haven River Ranch!
Devney NEVER misses, her is writing so relatable, never cringey or far fetched, the spice is always just right and it just feels real AND she uses pet names people actually use, like babe and sweetheart, and I just LOVE that in a book!!!!!
I adore Jax, heโs a bit of broken boy thanks to his own mum and Lily, but I love that this book explored that relationship abit more, and Sashaโs protectiveness over how he was treated was perfect!
I liked how Devney wrote Sasha so real, her initial jealousy over Emery is exactly how I would have felt/reacted and I like that she didnโt shy away from that but then I also loved Sasha for how supportive she was of her later on, girls girl energy ๐ซถ๐ป
Together they were perfect, how their relationship progressed, it wasnโt rushed, they gave each other space and time to process the situation they were in and a smidge of miscommunication never hurt anyone ๐คญ๐
Itโs goes to the top of my cowboy romance list alongside Crossroads, theyโre both *chefs kiss* 5โญ๏ธ

ARC Review:
I loved the first book in this series so much but somehow I loved this one even more!!!
Jax and Sasha are absolutely perfect ๐ฅบ their relationship seemed to develop so naturally and I loved the kind of mystery element of knowing that Sasha had secrets and seeing her slowly come out of her shell to open up to Jax. It was just lovely!!!

I really enjoyed Jax and Sasha. I loved seeing Indya & west in here too!! Jax and Sasha I love seeing their relationship, the push / pull and I loved seeing Sasha finally open up. ๐ฅบ I love the โtell me a lieโ & โtell me a secretโ ๐ฅบ she wants to hate Montana so bad, but at the end, it ends up being where she belonged all along ๐ฅฐ๐ฉท haven river ranch becomes home for her and her fam ๐ฉท
I love me an accidental pregnancy & this one hit ๐
I really had different thoughts through the book and through out it and when the secret is revealed it was shocking because I didnโt expect it & It actually made me really emotional to finally find out the whole story and put everything together.
Canโt wait for the next one!! Iโm interested about them ๐๐

There is something about devney's writing that is so comforting to me. I know accidental pregnancy isn't everyone's favorite trope but this story was truly so good and a story that needed to be told.
It was so much more than the pregnancy. It was a story of growth, acceptance, complicated families, and how everything in life can lead you to the place you were always meant to be.
From the start you could feel the connection between Jax and Sasha. Their meet cute was adorable (hence the song inspiration). The connection was instant, but their relationship was anything but.
One of my favorite tropes is a guy that doesn't have serious relationships but has ZERO hesitation when he meets ๐ฉ๐๐ ๐ค๐ฃ๐. And this was Jax. He was so flirty and such a hot cowboy, but he also had so much he kept inside.. and watching his walls come down for Sasha was everything.
And as she was bringing down his walls, he was patient and tenacious enough to break through hers. I really loved Sasha's character. She was so guarded, and without knowing what happened in her past, I could tell how much strength she had as a result of it. I loved getting small pieces along the way to reveal her secrets.
It is always so refreshing to get real and mature, relationships from Devney.. no unnecessary drama, or miscommunication.. and there's always something relatable.
I really loved this story, and I hope you do too โ๏ธ

I was so happy to be back in Haven River Ranch!!
I am completely convinced Devney Perry canโt write a bad book. Her writing is so incredible and she brings these amazing creative stories to life before my eyes.
Sasha has come to Montana to work for the Ranch and when she runs into Jax for the first time (unknowingly that heโs her โboss-ishโ) had me laughing out loud. It was so funny!!! (Oh, Carla๐๐)
Despite the chemistry and attraction to one another, as soon as Sasha learns who Jax really is, she puts on this hard exterior and tryโs to avoid Jax at all cost. But Jax, his smirks and that stupid freaking cowboy hat finally wear Sasha down and she canโt resist!!
Immediate confusion and regret seep into Sashaโs mind and her walls come up again and she shuts Jax out, until 6 weeks later and positive pregnancy test.
Here me outโฆI know some people donโt like the accidental pregnancy trope (itโs one my favs๐คญ) but the way Devney writes it, itโs so well done. While the book does revolve around the pregnancy in an aspect thereโs so much more. The character growth for both Jax and Sasha is sooo good! Jax and Sasha both have walls up and they both breakdown those walls so beautifully. The way Jax takes care of her and his Josephine from the beginning is top tier.
I fell in love with these characters, their love and the beautiful family they created and I hope you do too!!๐โ๏ธ

I absolutely ADORED this book! The tension, chemistry, & banter between Jax & Sasha was top tier in my opinion. I not only loved their story as a couple but also the drama they were dealing with regarding other people in their lives. I ATE IT RIGHT UP.
It's no secret that this book has the accidental pregnancy trope & I thought Devney did a great job of weaving together the plot, with jumps in time here & there in order to progress from before Jax & Sasha get together, finding out Sasha is pregnant, various stages of pregnancy, & a little bit of after. & that last sentence, just the cherry on top of a FANTASTIC read!
I also need to say โ I don't cry very often in books. But I CRIED at two separate parts of this book & they were both scenes with either Jax or Sasha and another character, not them with each other. I think that just shows how well rounded this story was & how well Devney can evoke emotion with her writing.

This was an excellent book!! I enjoyed the character development as well as how the plot was developed throughout the story. The author was able to to do a good job with all aspects of the story. I would recommend to others.
