FIVE ⭐️ READ!

This might seriously be my favorite series that she has written so far.

Sasha is running from her past while also trying to figure out her future. Haven Ranch is where she ends up. A beautiful, sprawling ranch in the state of Montana that will not only help her find herself, but will also help her find her perfect match in Jax Haven.

Jax Haven is a man that most women are lusting after. He is determined not to settle down but once he sets his eyes on Sasha, he knows that she is the one for him. She helps pull out his soft side while also helping him fight demons that he’s been holding in.

Both characters grow and strange so much over the book of each other. You will be rooting for them from the moment that they meet. Throw in an accidental pregnancy and this book is absolutely perfection.

Tropes:
💛accidental pregnancy
🌾 cowboy romance
💛 he’s her boss
🌾 forced proximity
💛 small town
🌾 workplace romance

💛 I was so glad to be back at Haven River Ranch. The small town vibe is always a favorite of mine and the ranch is so cozy. This book consumed my heart from beginning to end.

🌾 Jax and Sasha have the most adorable meet cute at a grocery store and their chemistry was immediate. The banter was cute but Sasha quickly realizes that Jax is her soon to be almost boss as she takes on a new life in Montana managing Jax’s family ranch and resort.

💛 Sasha is a little broken and stubborn yet so strong, sassy and independent. She’s built so many walls around her heart not letting anybody in as she deals with grief and things from the past.

🌾 Jax was immediately down bad for Sasha and that is definitely new for him as our boy is definitely a reformed playboy. No matter how many walls Sasha put up, Jax respects her boundaries by being so patient and kind.

💛 Jax and Sasha’s love story is all consuming and beautiful. I loved them so much! I cried in some parts of this book but also swooned really hard too. This one is such a beautiful journey! 🫶🏽

I don’t typically enjoy the surprise pregnancy trope but Devney writes it SO beautifully that I can’t help but enjoy it.

I blushed. I laughed. I cried.

This book has everything I’ve come to expect from Devney’s books - sexy cowboys, flirty banter, & touching moments. Highly recommend.

I loved this series so much this far. Sunlight is not any different. A 6 star binge worthy must read.

Jax’s first encounter with the fiery woman was a battle of a shopping cart, the second at his business. She ‘s replacing his sister in law while she goes on maternity leave. One night after a party things lead to a night they will never forget.

I enjoyed this story so much that as soon as it popped up on my kindle I drove into it. A solid page turner. A small town story at its best. Cowboys. Who doesn’t appreciate them, not me anyways.

This story was beautifully written with a seamless plot. It was addicting and captivating. It was just plain perfect to me. Bottomline this is a must read.

Although it’s always best to read books in a series in order to better enjoy them. But it could be read as a standalone. Told in a dual POV with an HEA. I strongly recommend this story.

One of my favorite books of the year! Devney Perry never disappoints. Sunlight was everything I wanted in a romance and I had no idea it would lead to a surprise pregnancy! My favorite trope for sure.

Haven River Ranch has a piece of my heart and it felt so good to be back.

Jax and Sasha have such a cute meet cute! I loved them as a couple and watching them grow together. I have become a sucker for accidental pregnancy and tie in a small town and a cowboy and I’ll eat it up.

Jaxon is co owner of the lodge at HRR and Sasha is the new lodge manager. Despite them having a great start, once she finds out who he is, she backs off for the sake of her job.

Jaxon is so freaking sweet, you love him from the start. Our man is down BAD from the start, always there for Sasha in any way she needed. Sasha was sassy but in a way you can’t help but love her too!! Their dynamic and opposite personalities made it so fun to watch play out.

They each are going through their own hardships making this a bit of an emotional journey but so freaking beautiful. Then add in the mystery factor… I couldn’t put it down.

“Tell me a lie”
“Tell me a secret”

Got me every time and I’ll never forget it.

What a story! I loved it so much! Jax and Sasha were such great characters. I seriously didn't want this one to end.

From the first interaction between Jax and Sasha, I was hooked. The two of them had some seriously undeniable chemistry, and I loved that we got to see how their entire relationship developed over the course of the book. I love that this book ended up taking place over the course of an entire year and not just a few months. Don't get me wrong, I love a whirlwind romance, but that's not always the case in real life, and I appreciate a romance that feels like it could take place in real life. Which is something else I loved about this story, the realness of it. I liked that Sasha was a complicated character with a complicated past, and I loved how that past was revealed in this book.

Trying to make sure I don't give anything away, here are some other things I loved about this book:
- I loved how Jax supported Sasha.
- I loved getting to see the characters from Crossroads.
- I loved the interactions with the side characters.
- I loved how Jax and Sasha loved each other.
- I loved the themes of redemption and forgiveness.
- I loved how the tropes worked together in this story.

Honestly, I could probably make this list go on forever, so I'll just end by repeating that I loved this book and would easily recommend it to anyone who enjoys the following.

✔️ Unplanned Pregnancy
✔️ Workplace Romance
✔️ One Night Stand
✔️ Neighbors
✔️ Cowboys
✔️ Small Town
✔️ First Person Dual POV

I had been so eager to read more about Jax since we saw him in Crossroads. I especially wanted to know what went down with the argument with West's mom. My heart hurt for him. I loved Sasha, and was intrigued to learn more about her background since it was ominous. Getting to see their chemistry blossom as their story progressed was everything. They were both so vulnerable and protective of one another while trying to navigate the changes in their lives while respecting boundaries. Jax was so soooo patient with Sasha, giving her the time she needed to open up to him. They were perfect. I wish it was longer and we had more of this series!! No one writes an accidental pregnancy tope like Devney does.

“I’ve got you. When it comes to the baby and life and all things. I’ve got you.”

Devney Perry continues to blow me away. Even if you don’t like the accidental pregnancy trope, you NEED to read this one! Devney really does this trope so incredibly well. This is probably my favorite Devney Perry book ever.

Sunlight follows Jax and Sasha who initially meet when Sasha is trying to take the grocery cart back to her apartment which causes an argument with the owner and Jax steps in to help her out. They immediately take to each other and have great flirtatious banter only for Sasha to realize that she would be working for him at the Haven River Ranch. From that moment on, Sasha has set clear boundaries with Jax and doesn’t want anything more than a coworker relationship.

After one incredible night, Sasha ends up pregnant and I loved how she handles this unexpected surprise that comes her way. Jax really tries to knock down Sasha’s walls and proves to her that he will be there for her and their child. He makes her feel safe and secure. I loved the sweet and tender moments they have with one another. I loved their journey from strangers to possible friends to parents to lovers. Can I just say that I loved their ‘tell me a lie/tell me a secret’ game and how it allows them to share things about themselves and bring their walls down. This book made me feel all the feels in the best way and I just couldn’t put it down!

This series continues to get better and I can’t wait to read what comes next!

Thank you Valentine PR, NetGalley, and Devney Perry for the opportunity to read and review this eARC. It has been a true honor!

The way I love Jax & Sasha… I was so excited to go back to Haven River Ranch, and their story did not disappoint! These two have an immediate connection that Sasha tried to shut down as soon as she realized who Jax was. But Jax? I loved his determination and the way he worked his was through her walls when he realized that connection wasn’t one sided. Sasha’s got reasons to be guarded, and oof did her story tug on my heartstrings, but I adore how hard she worked. I was even more happy to see her realize she wasn’t alone and that she could turn to Jax. I loved the way he showed up for her and proved his feelings through the pregnancy. They truly make the best team, and they make my heart happy. I absolutely loved this one!

This is the second book in the haven River ranch series (go read crossroads so you’re ready for sunlight!!!!) and just like the first it was a 5 ⭐️ read for me. I don’t know what Devney puts in her books but they flow so well and I normally end up finishing them in 1-2 days I just can’t put them down.

Sasha is grumpy/closed off with a backstory to tell.
Jax is a sunshine “ladies man” who never wanted to settle down.
Their relationship was rocky in the beginning but oh boy did he persist 😍 their banter / chemistry was so so good. They’ve both been through a lot and I loveeee themmmmm. Lots of depth to both characters which I then Devney really good at. Can’t WAIT to keep going with this series

Devney Perry has quickly become one of my favorite authors! I loved reading about Jax's softer side and the surprise pregnancy trope was done well. I also liked the Eddie mystery.

4.5 stars. Devney Perry does it again with the next installment to the Haven River Ranch series. I absolutely adored Jax and Sasha.

After a chance meeting at the grocery store where their chemistry sizzles, Jax introduces himself and the mysterious woman promptly shuts down and disappears, leaving Jax utterly confused. It’s not until later when he’s introduced to the new manager of the ranch that he understands why.

This book was a delightfully spicy read. It features a trope that is very hit or miss for people, but I happen to eat it up. I think it was done very well.

This book has all of the things I love in my romance books. Chemistry? Oh yeah. Banter? Absolutely. Spice? Most definitely.

I know she’s written numerous books, but as someone who only came upon her books this year, Devney Perry is seriously becoming one of my top go to authors. I can’t wait to read what’s next.

Haven River Ranch called, and I answered. Sunlight is a captivating and emotional small-town romance that blends angst, a bit of suspense, and irresistible chemistry. The story follows Jax Haven, co-owner of Haven River Ranch and Sasha Vaughn, the newly hired manager for the ranch. These two had me hooked from their hilarious meet cute. Their romance was wrought with tension and great banter, and I ate it up.

Jax! GAAAHHH! Swoony cowboy, indeed. This man can do no wrong. The level of patience he displayed with Sasha had me swooning. Jax was so careful with her, and he was just so darn charming. I loved how he memorized as much as he could about Sasha so he could better navigate their interactions. Jax’s persistence and thoughtfulness were so endearing, and he simply had me in a puddle. He was top tier, and I was here for all his glorious cowboy yumminess.

Sasha’s past was full of loss and struggle, but she persevered. Her motto of fake it until it breaks you had my heart breaking for her. Sasha was not one to depend on anyone, which made for some strained moments between her and Jax as he tried to prove that he was there for her. I loved seeing her grow and open herself up to this new possibility while she and Jax navigated her surprise pregnancy. And let me say that I was on the edge of my seat with the bit of suspense of who was the mystery Eddie, Sasha was writing letters to.

Sunlight took me on an emotional journey that was both heartfelt and angsty. I enjoyed the laughs amongst the drama and romantic sparks. Devney describes the setting so vividly that I’ve fallen in love with Montana.

An overload of chemistry and an accidental pregnancy set the scene for this emotional journey to love.

I finished this book in one day. It was impossible to put down. There were so many things to love. The adorable way Jax and Sasha opened up to each other by sharing their pain and fears. The way Sasha’s past was slowly and meticulously revealed. And how wonderfully complex Jax turned out to be.

There were some parts that were slow, but that frustration disappeared when juxtaposed against all the other emotions this book evoked. I loved Jax and Sasha together and their incredible chemistry. Their developing relationship had an edge of agony to it, with a constant push and pull, a sense of urgency and uncertainty interspersed with exquisitely tender moments. And the ending was *chef’s kiss* perfect.

I can highly recommend this if you like your steamy romance with multifaceted characters and all the feels.

Accidental pregnancy is a newer fav trope of mine, and I just love it so much, especially when the couple really just needs an excuse to be together 🙃 they WANT to, think they CAN’T, and now they HAVE TO - and it’s perfect 🥰

The chemistry between Sasha & Jax was 🔥🔥🔥
I loved getting more of Jax’s backstory, and seeing how his & Sasha’s histories helped one other heal.

Oh. My. Goodness. And here I thought you couldn't get better than West Haven. I'm so blown away by this book!! Sasha was such an incredible FMC, and see her fears and worries and sacrifices so raw in the story, all while she put on a brave front for the world, was so beautifully done! I felt for her and saw so much real emotion in her! And Jax was just so perfect! His love for his family, dedication to Sasha, and insistence on owning his own life and mistakes just made him so real and wonderful! Watching these two come together in such an emotional roller coaster of a story was so incredible! This is one of my easiest 5 star reads of the year!! And getting to see West and Indya and the whole family was so wonderful!! I really loved this book! It may be favorite by Devney Perry so far! Absolutely stunning!! 5 stars; 3.5 chili peppers

Literally ate this book up in less than 24 hours. Easily one of my favorite books with an accidental pregnancy trope. For not being one of my favorite tropes, I always thoroughly enjoy all of Devney's books that include it. Jax and Sasha were amazing, and I loved seeing West and Indya pop in throughout the book. There was a particular piece of the plot that had me on edge up until the end of the book, and I could not put it down. We also get introduced to characters who I assume will be the MMC and FMC of the next book in this series. I already love them. Overall, it was amazing and I loved every second of it. 💛

Let me tell you a secret. I loved every minute of this book! I laughed, I cried and then did it all again! Jax and Sasha are so in sync. Just the perfect couple. Both have things in their past that really hurt. That hurt so much it changed the course of their lives. It's like they recognized they needed each other, before they knew one another. Such a beautiful story. I highly recommend!

The banter between these two was so good. Jax is a playboy who is always down for a good time while Sasha is fiercely independent and has a lot on her shoulders. There’s an instant attraction but Sasha doesn’t want to risk her job by getting involved with Jax. One night, Sasha lets her guard down with Jax and it leads to their lives being flipped upside down.
I loved how patient Jax was with Sasha. He met her where she was and it was so sweet when she let him in. I love a good cowboy romance and then add in accidental pregnancy and I’m sold. Devney Perry just knows how to write stories that have you captivated from the beginning!
