This was my first book by Sue Watson. I enjoyed the story but found it a bit drawn out at times and Rachel drove me a bit potty – I was yelling at her to wake up & stop being so blind! It was however, a great plot with some twists, and while I had it all figured out before the end, I still enjoyed the journey. Despite finding some characters quite annoying, I could relate to each of them.
The narration was great and each character had a voice of their own.
All in all, a great book for a winters day in front of the fire with a hot cocoa.

Thank you to NetGalley, Bookouture Audio, and the author for an advance copy in exchange for an honest and unbiased review.

Yep, Sue Watson is definitely on form! This audiobook of her latest psychological thriller is epic!! I was gripped from page 1 and enjoyed plot twists and turns to the very last chapter (all of which were superbly narrated in the gratifying dulcet notes of Tamsin Kennard).

The story is that of Rachel, who, along with young son, Sam. relocates her Manchester life to a dream location in the south coast. Husband Tom, has lovingly developed the couple's dream home, so all Rachel has to do is move in and enjoy her new life. We soon learn that Rachel has a huge fear of water, and is, as such, utterly incredulous when Tom reveals a swimming pool in their garden!! Add into the mix Chloe, the estate agent, who seems a little too comfortable letting herself into the property, and the knowledge that by the end of the novel someone will experience death by drowning in said swimming pool, and we have all the elements of a stunningly dark, but utterly listenable audiobook!!

This is such a great story and I have yet to listen to anything narrated by Tamsin Kennard that isn't utterly worthy of this genre. She once again does this book justice.

My thanks to NetGalley, author and publisher for the opportunity to review this book in exchange for an advance copy.

Rachel and Tom have recently moved to Cornwall into a beautiful new home which was built with their inheritance money. But not long after Rachel moves in, a mysterious young woman named Chloe begins coming around regularly seeming all too familiar with the property and her life. As Rachel begins to get to know Chloe more, she begins to discover that Chloe may not be all she seems to be. Are she and her family in danger due to this person or is there something else going on? And what is with Rachel's fear of the backyard swimming pool?

I enjoyed this mystery for the most part. I felt that it lulled a bit in the middle. It took too long to find out the answer to a major plot point in the story, and I didn't feel it was very well explained after waiting so long. The final twist also didn't make a lot of sense to me which was disappointing. But this was still a fun read! I listened to this one on audio which was well done.

Tom and Rachel Frazer and their 4-year-old son, Sam, have just moved into their new home off the coast of Cornwell. Tom has spent months renovating the house while Rachel and Sam were in Manchester. They can afford this due to an inheritance from Rachel’s father. Tom was made redundant from his job as a banker, and Rachel works as a journalist.

On their first night together, a woman named Chloe lets herself into the house and walks in on them together. Tom says she works for the estate agents from which they purchased their home. He also admits that he knew her from the former banking firm he left. Although she seems lovely to Rachel, Tom claims she’s dangerous and to stay away from her. What about these two? It takes Rachel a while to suspect something is up— but what and why did Tom want to make this move?

The next day, Tom takes his son Sam to his new nursery—school. But the piece of resistance was the surprise Tom presented her with in their garden, which sent her spiralling back to the nightmare of her past. To Rachel’s utter horror, it was a swimming pool. Why would he do that to her?

Tom receives a chance for a two-week job in Scotland, and Rachel will look for journalist jobs. But Rachel is reluctant to see him go as she feels strange and unsettled about the house as if something isn’t right.

More sinister things happen, things appear, then disappear. Rachel begins to see people in her home, and she believes she knows who is behind all of this, but her accusations bring censure from others. However, until a genuinely frightening event happens, Rachel realizes who is behind these nasty things. Even figuring that out doesn’t mean she knows who is responsible. Nothing is as it seems. Many twists and turns kept me wanting to know what would happen next. That kept me invested and turning those pages late into the night.

I often screamed at Rachel to wake up and get a clue— your husband isn’t who you think he is! I found Rachel quite frustrating to read, especially her unwavering trust and devotion in her husband despite knowing he had already gone behind her about the swimming pool. I was desperate for her to find out the truth.
One little thing bothered me: I found the author dragged out and was repetitive of Rachel’s fear. It didn’t detract from my overall enjoyment. I found Chloe not believable as an antagonist; she was OTT and annoying, needy, and whiney. I found Tom to be a rather odd and creepy character who didn't like any of Rebecca’s friends, none more so than her closest friend, Rosa, who is a nurse practitioner and had been Rebecca's best friend since nursing her father through his illness. Rosa finds Tom rude, and there seems to be no love lost between the two most influential people in Rachel’s life.
I wasn’t expecting the shocking twist at the end. It was my first time reading Sue Watson, and I look forward to reading more of her books. It was my first time listening to Tamsin Kennard as a narrator; she did a fantastic job of emoting the whiny personalities of many of the characters and made the atmosphere vivid and realistic.
I look forward to listening to more of Tamsin Kennard.

What was that ending? I am still thinking about it two days after finishing the book... Before the final plot twist, I was thinking that the book was really predictable but then my jaw dropped, I need more answers. Normally I like open endings but with this one I would like a little bit of an explanation. Looking back I can remember some little hints for what was to come, which I can only reflect on now that I finished the book and the big reveal happened, someone more attentive can predict it.

Overall the book was really good, it maintained my attention the whole time because there was always something happening. At some points I was scared to listen to it at night as the narrator was so good when narrating the most suspenseful parts. I liked the main character and I felt for her because it was obvious that something was happening and that she wasn't crazy and would like to know what happens next, I need more of her life.

4.5 stars!
Rachel and Tom have moved to a new place - Tom has spent a lot of time getting the interiors done right, and that too very tastefully.
It's surprising for Rachel to learn that her banker husband has such a good flair for interiors.

The 1st day of her moving in Rachel meets Chloe and Tom introduces her as the real estate point of contact - but what Rachel doesnt understand is why would Chloe let herslf inside the house so randomly!
She lets go of the thought when Tom convinces her that she also has a key as she is from the real estate office.

When Tom takes Rachel to the backyard and shows the pool he has built she genuinely freaks out due to her traumatic past and she is very surprised that Tom was being inconsiderate.
Tom has his reasons, he wants their son to learn swimming and also he wants Rachel to get trained - he wants her to let go of the past and live for the future.

As Tom starts going out for work, Rachel is now left alone at home and she has to ensure their son's safety. But someone keeps visiting her son in his room during his sleep time and he keeps saying that daddy's friend visits him.
Who is this special friend and why is she making her appearance in the middle of the night?
Tom seems to be going out of his way to be working hard and keeps repeating that Rachel's father was not right in restricting his access to her inheritance - why!

A gripping thriller, was so good that I had to finish it in 1 day!

Thanks to Netgalley, Bookouture Audio and Sue Watson for approving my audio ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I definitely didn't see the end coming! I welcome a well done twist especially when it's thrown in at the very end.
I was left with a smile on my face.

Rachel, Tom and their young son move into a new home after the passing of Rachel's dad.

Rachel has trouble adjusting and making new friends, but eventually makes one.

Strange things begin to happen and she can't figure out if what she is feeling is valid, if she is being paranoid/over-reacting, or if someone is playing tricks on her.

As her, her friend and her husband clash she has to decide who to trust and who is ultimately telling the truth.

**Book Review: You, Me, Her by Sue Watson**

Rachel is plagued by a deep-seated fear of water, a phobia rooted in a traumatic past, making the prospect of residing in a seaside home utterly terrifying. Yet, when an unexpected inheritance from her father presents an opportunity, her husband Tom convinces her to leave their cramped Manchester apartment and invest in a house along the stunning Cornish Coast. While Tom manages the renovations, Rachel and their four-year-old son, Sam, remain in Manchester.

Despite Tom's assurance that their new coastal life will be idyllic, Rachel's anxiety about living near the ocean persists. What follows is a tumultuous journey filled with chaos, confusion, and danger. As Rachel navigates through this new chapter, she encounters bizarre individuals and faces a labyrinthine plot that leaves her questioning whom she can trust.

"You, Me, Her" is a masterfully crafted novel teeming with gripping twists that make it impossible to put down. The narrative is exquisitely delivered, drawing readers deeply into Rachel's harrowing yet compelling story.

I extend my gratitude to NetGalley and Watson's team for providing this Advanced Reader Copy.

I listened to the Audio version of this book and really enjoyed it. The story kept me captivated and had a good twist at the end. I did feel like there could have been one last chapter though to wrap it up.

I just finished listening to You, Me, Her by Sue Watson, narrated by Tamsin Kennard, and I am thrilled! The story grabs me right from the start and never lets go. Rachel and Tom’s move to the countryside seems perfect, but secrets and suspicions quickly turn it into a gripping psychological thriller.
Sue Watson’s writing keeps me on edge, and I love the twists and turns. I start doubting Rachel's perspective—is she really picking up on something, or is she unreliable? The final twist surprises me completely.
Tamsin Kennard’s narration is fantastic. She brings the characters to life, adding the perfect emotional touch. Her voice makes the story even more engaging.
Though I predict the ending, it doesn’t lessen my enjoyment. The suspense and fast pace keep me hooked. This book is intense and entertaining. Very grateful to the publisher for my ALC, opinions are my own .

Thank you Netgalley, Sue Watson and Bookouture for the audio Arc of You, Me, her.
Narrated by Tamsin Kennard

You, Me, Her is a good psychological domestic thriller with some great twists and turns. This is the first of Sue Watsons books, Ive read/listened to although I have seen her name on recommendations. You, Me, Her follows Rachel and Tom and an idyllic move into a wonderful house in the countryside of Cornwall. Tom has a fully established job, travels a lot and a doting Father and Husband. Rachel a doting wife and Mum but has had a traumatic experience and is a long term sufferer of PTSD and severe anxiety. On the day they move, Chloe, the estate agent that sorted the move with Tom, lets herself into their new home. Why has she still got a set of keys? Who is it that her son keeps seeing at the dead of night?

I really like Sue Watson's writing style. She manages to keep the plot going and build the characters in a well paced narrative. As the story unfolds and you follow the twists and turns, I start having doubts of whether Rachel is an unreliable narrator or is she truly picking up on that something is a miss with this Chloe character. It winds up throughout the book and the final twist flings it back at you a final pay off that you didn't see coming.

This book has been narrated by Tamsin Kennard. I have heard her voice before and always enjoy listening to her voice. It carries weight and places the right emotions /emphasis on the words she reads. She's a pleasure to listen to.

This book was so well done!

It is difficult to know what to expect with a domestic thriller. Often I think I know what I am going to get right from the beginning. And, to be honest, I thought this book was going to be another one of those books when I started it!

I am so glad I kept reading and found out that I was wrong! It was well done, it kept me wondering what was really happening, who is telling the truth, and who can be trusted.

I always enjoy when I am pleasantly surprised by a book, and this is definitely one of those! Do yourself a favor and check this out.

This thriller did not disappoint! A seemingly ideal marriage, a tragic past, an idyllic Cornwall, England, setting...
Initially in the story it is clear that something underlying is not quite right...and before long it seems like it will be easy enough to figure out who you should and shouldn't like, as well as the antagonist. There were definitely some surprise twists...and just when you think it's over, a bombshell ending! Perfectly entertaining and a must-read summer domestic thriller.
I've listened to a few books so far by this narrator and she does a great job with multiple characters.
Watson has apparently written a string of books along this genre, and I can't wait to dig in!
Thanks to #NetGalley and Bookouture for this ARC.
