I’m embarrassed to report that I previously purchased an expensive program which turned out to be far less comprehensive and actionable as this little gem of a book.
Overcoming Your Childhood Trauma is descriptive and thoughtful without being too wordy. It’s full of short, manageable exercises geared toward healing trauma. It asks little of your time, yet does require commitment. I’ve tried the first two exercises, and found both helpful. I do plan to purchase a hard copy and follow the entire plan- it’s that good
Thanks to NetGalley and Zeitgeist for granting access to a digital ARC in response to my request.

As a trauma therapist myself I found this book to be a wonderful addition on my own healing journey. As a victim of developmental trauma it can be a very lonely road to travel as an adult. This resource helps readers to learn more about trauma while also helping to navigate healthy coping strategies.

I found the self paced guided exercises to be extremely helpful. Being able to do them at my own pace and when the time felt right was very beneficial for me.

While having studied the various treatment modalities during my own education, the authors describe and utilize them in an easy to manage and understand educational process.

I would highly recommend this as a resource for individuals navigating developmental trauma on their own and also as a great resource for therapists to encourage their clients to use as well.
