Really enjoyable sweet rom com. I wish it was a little longer as I finished it in just a couple of hours. Grumpy x Sunshine with some family conflict and strife. Cute plot with good characters. I really liked Molly and Alex’s relationship. Everyone needs a friend like Kit. Sucker for a happy ending.

How can anyone resist the title of this one?! 𝗕𝗨𝗧𝗧𝗘𝗥 𝗬𝗢𝗨 𝗨𝗣 had me at that and the blurb. I went into this one blind because Liz Alden is a new to me author as is this series and loved every single second of it! Molly was an exceptional heroine. She was a free spirit with so much to give. To call her a ray of sunshine is dimming her spirit because she’s the whole damn sun.! Alex was a big, bearded, flannel wearing grump and that was so hot because underneath all of that was a big heart who treated his beloved dog, Trixie like the princess she is. I mean, how can you not love them already? Their romance was sweet and sexy and kept me glued to my kindle. This one is a definite keeper! I’m giving 𝗕𝗨𝗧𝗧𝗘𝗥 𝗬𝗢𝗨 𝗨𝗣 the judy.ann.loves.books stamp of approval, TBR and Enjoy!

This was great!! It was my first time reading this author and I will definitely be reading more. I loved Alex and Molly. I actually loved every side character. There wasn’t one bad one. I do think Trixie and Kit are my favorite. I sure hope she writes a book for Kit. He was the best best friend a person could have. Alex is your classic grump. Gets up to do the job he enjoys on a farm day in and day out. He isn’t very social and distances himself from his family. Molly is traveling the world in her van. She is stopping off for the summer on a farm. She starts working for Alex and you have instant sparks. I love that the story is in dual POV, so we get both sides!! I was laughing out loud, I was crying at times, and I was most definitely cheering for Alex and Molly along the way!!
Don’t miss out on this one!!

I adore a rom-com that balances humor and romance perfectly, even more so if it has the grumpy/sunshine dynamic!
This book had me laughing out loud from the get-go. Alex is the quintessential grump, and while grumpy characters aren't typically likable at first, I found him irresistible. His absurd and comical thoughts and remarks had me in stitches. I developed an immediate love/hate relationship with him. Molly, in contrast, is a breath of fresh air. She's cheerful, optimistic, and embraces life as it comes. She's traveling in her van, Vaniel (#vanlife), aiming to visit all 48 continental states. Upon reaching upstate New York, she decides to strike a deal with a farmer—she'll manage the farm shop on weekends in return for a parking spot for Vaniel. Thus, Molly starts working for the charming, flannel-clad Alex at Udderly Creamy, and Alex finds himself paired with a quirky, adorable girl who tends to virtual cows! Lol.I thoroughly enjoyed this book! It was packed with laughter, had the perfect amount of spice, and featured fantastic characters. (Everyone needs a Kit in their life!) The character development was superb, not just between Alex and Molly but also between Alex and his family. The spicy scenes were well-balanced, providing just the right amount of heat without being overly explicit. Above all, I loved the quirky names of the animals and towns! Simply top-notch!Thank you to Liz Alden, NetGalley, and Author Collective 20 for this ARC!

I love a rom-com that delivers as much comedy as it does romance! Extra points if it's a grumpy/ sunshine trope!

This book is absolutely hilarious and I just knew I was going from the very start. Alex is such a grump, and although we usually don't root for the grumps so soon, I couldn't help myself. The things he'd say/think we're so ridiculous and comical. I had an instant love/hate for him. Molly, on the other hand, is such a breath of fresh air. She's sweet, optimistic, and lives life as it comes. She's living in Vaniel (her van haha #vanlife) while on a mission to visit all 48 continental states. When she reaches upstate New York, she figures it would be a good idea to barter with a farm owner - she'll run the farm shop on the weekends in exchange for parking Vaniel there. Now Molly finds herself working for handsome flannel-wearing Alex at Udderly Creamy, and Alex finds himself stuck with a cute, goofy girl who feeds virtual cows! Lol.
I absolutely loved this book! It had all the laughs, all the spice, and the best characters. (We all need a Kit in our life!) The characters were great, and it was wonderful watching the development not only between Alex and Molly, but between Alex and his family as well. I loved the spicy scenes- they were just enough without being too explicit. Most of all, I loved the names of the animals and towns! Simply the best!

Thank you Liz Alden, NetGalley, and Author Collective 20 for this ARC!

Title: Butter You Up by Liz Alden
Release Date: June, 13th, 2024
Farm 2 Forking #2

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Stars

Alex, finds his life turned upside down by the vibrant and positive Molly, who begins working at his family's debt-ridden farm. Despite his attempts to avoid getting involved, he develops a crush on her, leading to unexpected changes in his life, including repairing his relationship with his brother.
However, just as things seem to be heating up between them, he discovers that Molly's intentions may not be genuine.

"Butter You Up" paints such a delightful picture of farm life that I'm sure everyone would want to experience it, especially if it means encountering someone like Alex.
The grumpy/sunshine trope is expertly handled, and the supporting characters, particularly Kit, add richness to the narrative.

Molly's confident demeanour and the undeniable chemistry between her and Alex kept me completely engrossed, and I found myself unable to set the book aside until I reached the end. Finishing it in just one day left me eagerly anticipating more from the series. This is a heartwarming and engaging read that will leave you with a smile on your face.

This romantic comedy, set on Bedd Fellows Farm, promises laughter and romance amidst the challenges of farm life.

Thank you to The Author Liz Alden & NetGalley for an advanced reader copy (ARC) in exchange for my honest review.

Butter You Up by Liz Alden
Rating: 4/5

I was so pleased when I saw an email telling me that Liz had released another book, and boy, I was not disappointed one bit

In this novel, we meet Molly who bursts into Alex's life like a whirlwind, her infectious optimism instantly taking root. The only hiccup in is that Molly happens to work for Alex's family's farm and he wants to stay clear of all the drama.

Butter You Up captivates with its engaging storyline and a cast of characters that leap off the page.
Molly's character won my heart with her effortless charm. The chemistry between her and Alex was simply perfect.

This was the perfect, cosy and spicy read. Now, I need to go and find myself a farm somewhere or maybe a cowboy even.

Thank you so much to NetGalley, Author Collective 20, and the author, Liz Alden, for providing me with an ARC copy in exchange for an honest and fair review.
