This was a miss for me. I was loving the first 30%, then the pacing dropped off and the plot stalled out. I appreciated the diverse cast of characters and the sex positivity throughout the book.

I enjoyed the narrator and felt they brought a lot of life to the plot.

Sincere thanks to NetGalley and St Martin’s Griffin for an advanced reader copy in exchange for an honest review.

This was such a heartfelt queer romance that explores lost loves, fame, and all the emotions.

🎧I loved the audiobook narration and although the story was more slowburn, it really brought the story to life.

*many thanks to SMP romance, Macmillan audio and Netgalley for the gifted copy for review

I wanted to like this book so badly, but it was just so severly "meh" which was so disappointing. I love celebrity romances (especially sapphic ones) so I had this book on my list for a long time. It felt so convoluted plot wise that it was hard to actually have any investment in the main couple. An unfortunate two-star rating from me.

This was my first queer romance and as much as I thought the characters were nicely written and the narrator did a great job on the audio book; I just couldn't get into the plot. Famous Hollywood actress falls back in love with her childhood best friend who gained a million followers from kissing strangers. Cute, but not my cup of tea.

There were some nice moments, but honestly; I started to skip and speed through in order to avoid DNFing.

I hate to write a poor review, but appreciate the opportunity to receive and listen to the ALC.

Everyone I Kissed Since You Got Famous by Mae Marvel is a heartfelt, deeply human story about rekindling friendships and exploring long-buried feelings. Katie Price, now a famous actress, and Wilifred Greene, a TikTok influencer known for her kissing challenge, reconnect after thirteen years apart. While the premise may seem lighthearted, the novel dives into the emotional complexity of their relationship, offering a beautiful mix of romance, vulnerability, and personal growth.

I appreciated how both characters are portrayed as strong, empowered women who aren’t afraid to communicate their needs and desires. The dynamic between a celebrity and a "regular" person doesn’t fall into the usual tropes, instead delivering a grounded and tender love story. Marvel strikes a balance between tension-filled romance and bittersweet, yet heartwarming, moments.

What I didn’t expect but absolutely loved was the cat content! It adds an adorable touch to the narrative, highlighting the warmth of the characters’ lives. Overall, this novel exceeded my expectations with its depth and authenticity, leaving me moved and charmed.

Everyone I Kissed Since You Got Famous by Mae Marvel is a delightful, heartfelt exploration of love, fame, and all the messy emotions in between. The book hooked me right from the start with its relatable, quirky characters and the emotional complexity that comes with navigating relationships under the spotlight.

Marvel’s writing feels fresh and honest, capturing the tension of falling for someone who’s suddenly out of reach, not just physically but emotionally, as fame changes the dynamics. What I loved most is how she doesn’t shy away from the awkwardness, jealousy, and vulnerability that come with love. The humor throughout the book keeps it light, but there’s enough depth to make you reflect on how fame can complicate even the most personal parts of life.

If you're into romantic comedies with a touch of reality and emotional depth, this one is definitely worth the read!

Thanks NetGalley for the opportunity of listen to this book.

This was a delightful "one who got away" romance. I thought the narrator did a wonderful job, and not sure I would have enjoyed this as much without the audiobook version. Thank you to Net Galley, the publisher and the author for an advanced copy of this book.

This book was hot! I listened to the audiobook and the narrator is outstanding!

This is the most erotic slow burn ever, but I love how the characters respected each other and their needs throughout.

Also, friends to lovers might be my favorite trope!

Thanks to the publisher for digital ARCs of both the ebook and eaudiobook.

Cute little love story, with interesting main characters! It did feel a little slow/drawn out at times but was still enjoyable. The narrator did a good job.

It was fine I guess? There wasn't much conflict, apart from an obviously predatory ex, or a real spark between the characters. It's not quite a second chance romance, more of a one who got away/never was. But I did love the cats, so there's that at least.

This book sounded so cute so when I was offered the advanced audio I jumped at the chance. The MC has a TikTok account where she kisses random people and films it - I have seen similar series online and it’s always been interesting to me how some can find chemistry with people they did not know anything about.

Her high school best friend is an A-list famous actress and they reconnect later in life after not speaking for quite some time. I understand the two characters may have been into each other in the past, but after all this time?! With no contact?! It all seemed insta-love ish and I did not super vibe with that.

I thought this would be a romcom but it’s really a love story. Ultimately, this is a book about friendship, reconnecting, and finding and being true to yourself. Really enjoyed spending time with Katie and Wil.

This book unfortunately didn't land with me. I never really connected to the characters and it was sooo long. The middle part was really drawn out and I could not find a reason why it had to go on so long. I stopped this book three different times and each time I could not fathom just how much of the book I had left. There just weren't the right stakes - they felt manufactured and I just could not get on board with their struggles. You may enjoy this book if you like being inside the character's heads. I generally like that but not this time. I felt that the narrator, Mia Hutchinson-Shaw, did well and I honestly probably listened to more of the book than I really wanted to because they did a nice job. Thank you NetGalley and Macmillan Audio for the advance copy in exchange for an honest review.

Everyone I've Kissed Since You Got Famous was such a cute premise. I dislike the overuse of social media in books, but this was done in a fun and unique way, so I found it enjoyable. I loved the two main characters, both together and separately, and rooted for them the entire book. If I have any complaints, it was a tad slow in the middle, creating pacing problems, but overall a fun and sweet read.
This was my first audiobook narrated by Mia Hutchinson-Shaw and I thought they did a wonderful job.

Honestly this was more heartfelt than I expected it to be and there is a real sense of character development/growth that can be missing from a lot of romance titles lately. This is a worthy edition to my shelves and the fun Hollywood/social media star concepts were a hit (when usually I stay away from the tropes)

What a great book!! I loved the story and the writing style. Such a good book! I enjoyed this more than I thought I would! My first for this author but will not be my last! Such a great sapphic book!

"Everyone I’ve Kissed Since You Got Famous" focuses on the challenges fame, finding career success, and personal relationships can have on life. While many of the topics were heavy and relatable, humor was also thrown in.

Wil has a huge TikTok following on her “wilyouorwontyoy” channel where she kisses people for the first time for a full 60 seconds, posting twice a week.

Katie is a well known actress who has suffered trauma and seeking to find success on her own.

Wil and Katie were best friends in high school but haven’t seen each other in 13 years. Katie is taking a much needed break and decides to spend the holidays at home allowing her and Wil to reunite. They pick up where they left off as if no time has passed.

Both discuss the feelings they had for one another in high school and their lives now. They share their fears and dreams together.

This is a sapphic romance that falls under the friends to lovers trope. While I’m sure this will be some readers favorite read for the summer (or year) it was a three star read for me. The beginning engaged me but I felt the middle slowed down, at times feeling repetitive. I found my attention drifting before picking back up at the end.

I look forward however to other books from the authors!

Thank you to NetGalley, the authors and publisher for the opportunity to both read and listen to this!

What a fun romp! I love childhood friends to lovers as a trope, but I haven't read a sapphic one yet, and this was a real treat! I especially enjoyed the way the author navigated the third act and avoided the third act breakup with an external conflict instead of an internal one!

I was really looking forward to listening to Everyone I Kissed Since You Got Famous by Mae Marvel, but unfortunately, I was a little disappointed in my experience. The Sapphic friends-to-lovers plot drew me in immediately. I also enjoyed the idea that one was TikTok famous and the other was famous for her acting and directing. I expected more tension from that distinction (between the different kinds of famous and how people end up there, etc.).

I found the plot of Everyone I Kissed very slow to develop, and that was hindered further by the barrage of characters tossed in who were, frankly, indistinguishable from each other. I spent too much time trying to figure out who was who, how they knew each other, and why I should care. I understand that in a Sapphic novel with a lot of female side characters, this could be an issue for anyone. I think that first person would have better suited this story rather than close third.

Additionally, the dialogue fell flat for me in many places. There was quite a lot of telling instead of showing, so when the dialogue did occur, I expected more bouncy, fun, emotional content rather than the stunted few sentences here and there.

Overall, I think this author makes a lot of good choices in plot, especially later on in the novel. But the first half left me burnt out.

Thank you to Macmillan Audio for providing me with this ARC to review for NetGalley.
