This is the 5th book in the Enchanted Highlands series, and I loved it!
🎧I listened to the ALC audiobook format, and loved the narration by Amy Landon and Will Watt. I thought they voiced the characters perfectly, and it was easy to get swept away into the story with their performance.
*many thanks to Netgalley and publisher for the gifted copy for review
"Wild Scottish Beauty" by Tricia O'Malley is a delightful addition to the Enchanted Highlands series. Narrated by Amy Landon and Will Watt, this audiobook beautifully blends romance and adventure in a captivating Scottish setting.
Landon and Watt's dual narration enhances the storytelling, bringing each character's personality to life with their engaging performances. Their chemistry adds depth to the emotional moments, making the journey even more immersive.
O'Malley’s writing is rich and evocative, drawing you into the enchanting world of the Highlands. The plot is well-paced, filled with charm and intrigue that keeps you hooked.
I’d rate this audiobook 4 out of 5 stars. It’s a lovely continuation of the series that fans will thoroughly enjoy. Thank you to NetGalley for my copy; all opinions are my own!

Each time I head back to Loren Brae, it’s like I’m greeted by old friends. I never get enough of this world that Tricia has created. Although all of her stories have layers of depth, this one was special to me, hitting on topics I’m familiar with. I loved this one so much.
Will Watt and Amy Landon delivered a phenomenal performance and brought the characters to life, as they always do.
I am officially in love with Will Watt, the narrator with the gorgeous Scottish accent who narrates the male characters for Tricia O’Malley’s books. I do have to slow down my audiobook listening speed, but it’s absolutely worth it for the brogue.
Wild Scottish Beauty is the 5th book in The Enchanted Highlands series, and while they are all interconnected, so far I feel like the can be read in any order. There’s romance, magical realism and a super adorable kitty.
Ramsey and Willow are the ultimate in grumpy sunshine romance.
I listened to Wild Scottish Beauty as an audiobook thanks for NetGalley.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for a copy of this audiobook in exchange for an honest review.
I am adoring this series! I love the Scottish myth and lore that has been incorporated into the story because it is done in a great way that does not take away from the romance side of the book. I loved Ramsey and Willow, they were such a fun couple and I loved seeing them work together. This book was peppered with all sorts of little comical moments too that had me giggling. Overall this book was a great installment in this series and I am looking forward to more books.
There is nothing better than a Trisha O’Malley book. I love everything about her writing. Her magical realism is sheer perfection. I love being transported straight to Scotland, which is my absolute dream. Every character in her book is so relatable and one that you just want to be instant friends with.
The narrator in this one like all the other books has been phenomenal. I love the accents. I love the banter between them and you can feel their chemistry through their voices. Highly recommend this audiobook, not just the audiobook, but the physical book, and the ebook answell.. anything you can get your hands on with Tricia O’Malley.
I don’t know how I didn’t see this was part of a series 🤦🏽♀️
I still enjoyed this book. It didn’t have a lot of supernatural events happening like I thought it would but it was still really good.
The narration was good. Love the Scottish accents!!
It’s not super spicy but it does have some.
Willow is a head strong woman and doesn’t let others hold her back from her dreams. She has faced a few bumps in the road but she doesn’t let it stop her from her dreams or seeing the good in the world.
Ramsey on the other hand doesn’t see the world as a good place where good things can happen. He’s had to deal with family stabbing him in the back and this closes him off to the world.
However, when he meets Willow he can see and feel the good coming off her. He enjoys giving her a hard time but deep down he wants to be apart of her world.
Thank you to the publishers, author and NetGalley for the free copy of this audio book.
I've only read one other in this series and enjoyed it, and this was just as nice of a listen! It is fine to read as a standalone although you definitely get more out of it if you've read more in the series. I definitely like the added folklore the best, and the romance was nice. I would read more in this series. The narrators did great!
The ghost coo almost made me give this one a better rating! It had me cracking right up. However, the rest left some to be desired. A traditional grumpy sunshine, he’s the grumpiest but she manages to win him over. Plus there is that forbidden friend’s sister thing going on too, but that’s probably the part that I didn’t love. Overall, it was cute but not something I’d recommend to everyone.
This was such a cute read I got a toothache! Wild Scottish Beauty was a nice quick read that leaves your heart full and satisfied. Being a huge lover of Celtic lore and mystical/mythical creatures, I am looking forward the next installments to see where the story will go. Even without the romance element, which was thoroughly satisfying, I would read this story. I will definitely be watching out for the next.
Thank you to the author, NetGalley, & the Dreamscape Select for this audioARC!
The take starts out Stateside as a woman who is trying to figure out life and where she fits in it is going through a bit of a rough patch. Still, with a job offer (albeit a bad one) in a fashion mecca and iron will to put her ex and his betrayals behind her, Willow is ready to begin again. Enter a loving but controlling big brother who thinks he knows better... and her plans must once again shift. As fate would have it, that shift bring her to Scotland at the doorsteps of a haunted castle and the large hands of Ramsay McMillan...her new, HOT, boss. Let's just say more than wee shenanigan's are afoot.
There is some supernatural elements in this tale and Celtic lore that are set up in this book to be continued into the next, and I must say it has my interest peaked and my radar on alert. If you are looking for a quick read with a great storyline and continued potential, then this one is a no brainer. Hit download!
NO REGRETS!!!!
4 outta 5 stars
Ok , so admit I haven’t read the first one in the series. While it didn’t make much difference I am pretty sure there are some things I missed in this book because I didn’t.
Wild Scottish Beauty is the 5th book in The Enchanted Highlands series and I loved it. This series follows the Order of Caledonia in Loren Brae, Scotland as they recruit members to the order to help keep the Kelpies away. This grumpy sunshine, paranormal romance is Willow and Ramsay story.
Willow accepts a designing job in Loren Brae, far away from home and her bossy brother. What surprised her was finding out she'll be interning with her brother's best friend Ramsay also known as the grumpiest man in Loren Brae.
I loved these two. Willow was the perfect sunshine to Ramsay grump. The banter between them was amusing as she slowly worked her way into his heart. The plus size representation was amazing, the steamy scenes were scorching and I loved seeing how their relationship played out.
She was also the newest member of the Order and it was interesting to see her learn all about magic and experience the challenge she had to overcome.
The story was such a fun, cozy read filled with magic, romance, friendship, a ghost highland coo, mythical creatures, other familiars and so much more. It was a wonderful addition to the series and I can't wait for more. I would definitely recommend this novel.
🎧 I listened to the audiobook version of this novel which was narrated by Amy Landon and Will Watt. They did a marvelous job portraying the characters and bringing the story to life. Their voices suited the characters and I loved hearing the Scottish accent, although I will admit I had to slow down my speed until I got used to it, which in no way hampered my enjoyment of the story. It was a pleasure listening to these two narrate this novel.
Another perfect mix of low stakes fantasy, perfectly paced romance with spice, and adorable creatures.
Thank you NetGalley for giving me this book for my honest review.
I probably should have read the first 4 books so I knew The other characters but oh well. I thought it was a good book. I think I would have enjoyed the book more if I would have read the previous books in the series. But overall I liked This one and I will read the first four in the series.
This was the first book I’ve read in Tricia O’Malley’s The Enchanted Highlands series and I definitely was not disappointed! At first, it took me a while to get into the book but I was quickly entertained by the two main characters, Willow and Ramsay. They quickly emanated the sunshine X grumpy tropes and I was totally there for it, along with the added Scottish charm, plus size rep and magic to boot! I was thoroughly entertained by the banter between the main characters and their tiny little friend, Calvin. And OMG Clyde had me HOOTING! There was a lot of sexual tension and when they finally kissed I was cheering. But I was somewhat disappointed for missing out on that rather interesting morning after scene (ITKYK).
Overall, this was a thoroughly enjoyable read! Thanks so much to the author, NetGalley and the publisher for providing me with an advanced listener copy in exchange for an honest review. I am looking forward to going back and reading the earlier books in this series!
I received a gifted audiobook copy of this book from Netgalley. I voluntarily read it and am leaving an honest review.
I enjoyed this just like all the others in this series. These books are great pallet cleansers between books with heavier topics. I love the lightheartedness, banter, and fun from them.
Wild Scottish Beauty AUDIO by Tricia O’Malley was a really fun listen. It is a rom-com with a twist. It turns out our heroine has a touch of magic. Willow Barlow had been on her way to Paris for a fashion internship, until she discovered her brother had responded for her and turned it down (a reason for no sharing of passwords). At the same time she was fielding a phone call from Scotland for an even better offer, more money and a place to live and a chance for creating her own designs, for a castle gift shop. Things took some odd turns right off the bat, not the least of which was seeing her brother’s best childhood friend, Ramsey, who apparently lived in this village. Like an extension of her overbearing brother. The opportunity was too good. She’d ignore him, just as she did her brother. Ramsey was a premiere kilt maker, with a huge business, not just this shop in Loren Brae. He was hot. He thought she was, too, but it was against the bro code to date his friend’s sister so he suffered in silence, mostly.
Her magic included seeing things that would happen in the future. Not always, and not on demand. She saved a kitten’s life and the life of her friend’s mother with this gift. The third time she had a vision it was of the shop burning so they moved all of the important things out, but when she got to the actual fire she heard a voice. Someone was stuck inside. Without thinking she darted in, only to be stopped by Ramsey. His heart had fallen when he had seen her going into the fire. If he could not take care of her, what good was he? There is so much more to the story and I found it all highly entertaining. Excellent characters, wonderful setting, and a troubled romance. Thanks, Tricia O’Malley. This is the first of your books I’ve consumer but it won’t be the last!
Amy Landon and Will Watt were the narrators and they were perfect, although sometimes Watt’s accent was so heavy it was difficult to follow. His voice was fabulous, so that compensated. Landon’s was good, too. So often women reading romances tend toward young and unsophisticated, annoying, really, but she was great!
I was invited to listen to Wild Scottish Beauty by Dreamscape Select. All thoughts and opinions are mine. #Netgalley #DreamscapeSelect #TriciaOMalley #WildScottishBeauty
I listened to this as an audio book and absolutely loved it. I loved both narrators and how they portrayed the characters. Will Watt could read me a shopping list and it would be wonderful! The fantasy element of this book took me by surprise as I had not read any of the others in this series, but I loved it! It was really fun. I thought the characters were great and did not feel like I didn't understand what was going on because I hadn't read the others in the series. I really felt like I hadn't missed out. I'll be going back to listen to the rest.
Big thanks to NetGalley, Dreamscape Select, Lovewrite Publishing and Tricia O'Malley for this early release copy in exchange for my honest review.
Wild Scottish Beauty is the fifth book in Tricia O’Malleys Enchanted Highlands series. American Willow Barlowe is a clothing designer who has moved home to Minnesota after her business partner and ex boyfriend has run off with her money and employee. Miles, an over protective older brother who wants Willow to stay home and settle down, scuttles her opportunity to intern in Italy. However, Miles does not see the email offer she receives from Loren Brae, Scotland to be an intern with a kilt maker and to help design a line of items for the gift shop at McAlpine Castle.
Having a link to this area as her late mother is from that very town, Willow accepts the offer which comes with a nice salary and a small apartment within the castle. Upon arrival, Willow is made to feel right at home. When Willow learns she will be working with Ramsay MacMillan, bespoke kilt maker and long time friend of her brother’s from when they had come to visit her grandmother, she becomes suspicious that Miles may be behind it until she discovers there is a very different reason for her invitation.
I absolutely love the fantasy/reality tales Ms. O’Malley spins and read them as soon as they are available. Perhaps her Order of Caledonia is symbolic for righting some of the ills in our current world. Her characters are rich and interesting. Her plot lines are dotted with supreme imagery and mythical beings. And the stories always have a positive message. I very much enjoyed this story and do recommend it.
thank you to netgalley for the advanced reading copy. I really enjoyed this and will be getting copies for my shop.
