This is a fun, friendly, and colorful book geared toward (and written for) teens and tweens. The party ideas, favors, etc., are modern and interesting and cover a diverse group. The book breaks down into four parts: Planning, Party Inspiration and Ideas, DIY Projects, and Party/after party. These sections include planning, cleaning, preparing (long term and short term), invitations, props, favors, drinks, food, thank yous, and interesting tips on manners, etiquette, and dealing with personalities. It's fairly comprehensive but presented in a very friendly and approachable style.

Being an event planner this was a perfect book to add to my collection. I loved all the fresh new ideas and couldn't wait to use them. Great writing and great illustrations.
