As a singer and instrumentalist, I found this book interesting. Though I encountered solfège in music class growing up, I have not found it useful in my life as a musician. I would have appreciated more explanation of its uses and importance. The Illustrative Examples on page one were very helpful, but after that, I found explanation and instruction lacking. It would have been nice to have Illustrative Examples pages at the beginning of parts II and III to illustrate the new and more difficult rhythms and concepts. Overall, I think I will use this book to practice sight-reading intervals, but rhythmically, I think counting "one and two and" works for me.
