Such an adorable story of a little Pip who has hesitations leaving his comfortable home and valley only to realize what he was missing could be found outside his safety net. Pip goes on an adventure in this story and finds something wonderful - friendship - and it helps fulfill his life. This would be a wonderful story for any child who is worried about first days of school, moving to a new city, or any situation where they are anxious about leaving their home. Pip did it and was better for it! Highly recommend as a read-aloud book for your young child (7 yrs or younger).

Gathered at the Table by Glenn’s Nellist (Sept. 9) Using poems, it explains Jesus last supper and his time at the table. Such a profound, kid appropriate explanation of the communion.

Rosie’s Wild Ride by Paige Murray (Oct 7) Her completion doesn’t go quite as planned, but what if we keep going and ask “What if I can?” as we follow big dreams! I can’t wait to get this for my daughter. Loved the illustrations.

Night Magic by Leigh Ann Henson (Sept 23) This was SUCH a fun book of information. Why does it take so long for the eye to adjust to night? Lots of great information with this book and at a child’s level.

The Mountain and the Goat by Slamk Taghaddas (Sept 23) I loved the concept of teaching resourcefulness in this one. Loved the storyline.

Sea Dog Boats by Astrid Sheckels (Jan 14) To learn all about boats, let the dogs lead the way. All about the ABCs and nautical adventures this is a really cute story!

Twelve Days of Summer by Sherri Meret (July 1) “On the first day of summer…” The animals take you on a summer adventure as you sing along! My kids LOVED this adorable book.

Franklin’s Trees by AJ Skenkman (July 1) A story about young President Franklin. A history major myself, this was a really cute informative book.

Outdoor Skills for Kids by Buck Tilton (June 3) My son thought this book was the bees knees. He learned so much from it and kept talking about “when you approach an animal this is what to do..” He was so excited to share all he learned.

This was a sweet little story about curiosity and finding friends that make life better. I think it's perfect for very young children and I loved the ending ("now I don't feel so small"). Just a cute story with pretty illustrations.

I am still in awe of the illustrations, and the colors used for this sweet book. I really liked Pip, who has lived in one place, on one side of a mountain his entire life. Strange beautiful leaves begin falling near his home, and he thinks they must be from the other side of the mountain.
This is such a nice story of wonders of nature and friendship, Beautiful book and story, one I'd buy.

This was a cute story. Nice illustrations, though not as eye catching as I would have hoped. And a nice lesson about how life is better lived together, but not a book that would be very memorable in my opinion.

Pip does the same thing everyday, until one day he finds something strange. After trying to ignore it, he sets out on an adventure to find out where it's come from.

The illustrations in the book are beautiful (and I'm sure are even better in print). The story is short but sweet, perfect for bedtimes.

Pip's Adventure is a beautiful picture book following Pip, and his journey outside of his valley. The illustrations are gorgeous and make you feel like you are in a fairy tale. This is a very calm book that would be lovely to read at bedtime or to kids who need a little encouragement to step outside their comfort zones.

This was a cute book about loneliness, a life of isolation and how making a likeminded friend can open up your world. The illustrations are calm and magical and the story is sweet.

Pip is content in his home in his valley. He follows the same routine every day. Readers may appreciate this and it can open dialogue. One day, he discovers a strange leaf and can't find where it comes from. More leaves follow so Pip decides he has to make a journey to the other side of the valley and figure out where they come from. To his surprise, he meets someone just like him. Pod also follows the same routine in his side of the valley. They both discover how much joy can be found in being together. Younger readers will appreciate the story of finding a friend. Older readers will be able to look deeper and see how much trust and bravery it took to break routine and venture out.

This book had a touch of The Town Mouse and the Country Mouse vibe to it. I enjoyed the nostalgic feeling and the presentation of how one might want to step outside their comfort zone to experience of the wonders that lie beyond what the eye can see.

For any caregiver trying to persuade a little one to try something new, this is a useful prop that provides a visual aid. Join Pip as he travels across the valley in search of answers about a foreign object that has found itself in his locale. Though cautious at first, a healthy curiosity and determination produces surprising results. Enjoy this book as you build up brave children.

Ah, aw. We need more of such books depicting balance, trying new things, but accepting yourself with your preferred routines, rituals and enjoying the everyday, ordinary life.

The settings are serene and sublime.

Pip and Pod are awesome. I hope we see more adventures of them?

A perfect children’s book post-COVID.

Pip has a very measured day, with familiar things to do and see, and evenings spent contemplating the night sky.

Sometimes we don’t appreciate the boundaries we have created for ourselves, deliberately or unconsciously, albeit due to habit, circumstance or unexpressed anxiety.

For some lockdown made it harder to subsequently leave their homes. A place of safety, we can control and manage.

The danger is that we become ‘shut-ins’ less sociable and holding fears about our wider environment. I also noticed this after the pandemic, that it can become a habit of older age. Less inclined to leave one’s comfort zone, preferring the familiar and going to known places to walk, dine or holiday.

Allow Pip’s adventure then to re-energise us grown ups as we share his new discoveries with own children. As our younger ones then embrace that spirit to explore and see what is beyond the next turn in the road. Which then becomes the norm rather than the risk taking actions.

Pip is in danger of new day, repeat and new day until a strange leaf blows into his side of the valley. It is a magical thing and unlike anything he has known. It becomes the impetus to venture to the other side of the stream and explore the far side of the valley.

I loved the simple text and creative, colourful illustrations. Above all I applaud the natural elements of discovery and the desires for new things and fresh adventures.

Pip is a born explorer who had limited his vision within his known world. In overcoming the restrictions of routine he finds a kindred spirit and realises his loneliness and isolation were keeping him from wider experiences and making new friends.

If I had to pick one word to describe this children's book, it would be "enchanting". But it's much more. It's poetic and charming. The visuals are a treat for the eyes, simple yet rich and sparkly. It's like a fairytale, but about finding a friend in life. Cute as can be!

The art is gorgeous in this book; absolutely loved it. The story is cute, but I felt like it could have used a bit of editing to make it stronger.

This book is so cute and the illustrations are beautiful. I love how it touches on exploration and adventure, getting out of your comfort zone and seeing what happens when you do. As a parent of a daughter who is a total creature of habit, a book like this is singing we can use as a tool to try new experiences, like Pip does. Loved it. I absolutely love Pip's Adventure! I love stories about loneliness, solitude and the power of friendship, and this one is heartwarming. Nobody is ever alone in this world, we are as important as the human connections we make along the way, and seeing Pip leaving his confort zone, not afraid to explore the world and making a new friend, made me really happy.

The art style is beautiful, cozy and adorable, and made me want to jump into the story. The only thing I'd like to comment is that the illustrations looked pixelated, I don't know if it was an error while exporting the JPEG, but the publisher should correct it before sending the book to print in the future.
