The journey of a CEO is a lonely one and I can confirm this from my own experience. Surrounded by colleagues you still have to make strategic decisions and sometimes within the time of uncertainty. This book is a short guide of finding self and focus areas to support wellbeing and run an organization. My top picks set from asking questions and building successful teams chapters. Asking the right question is simple and yet challenging area because having a timely information is always crucial and one can get it by having the right question. When building a team, focus on having people with skills that you don't have and never micromanage, let people thrive, innovate and bring success with their actions to the business. One more important area is being aware of industry trends and evolve with the innovation. Great read!
This was a wonderful book full of lots of insights into how to be a better CEO. It also provides lots of good information about getting into that place.
More leaders should read this book. In modern leadership often times you feel not very well connected to the layers above. This book describes how CEOs can get out of their rut and connect with people again to do the best for the business. Ultimately it all goes down to servant leadership, asking the right questions and connecting with your people. Business is a people’s business, without people, there’s no business.
