I loved the story and how the character sees himself in the situation. I really liked them both, they are so sweet, and the complete opposite of each other.
You could notice the esteem they began to feel for each other, and the trust.
I immensely enjoyed the fantasy and the mystical creatures that appear in the story.
The drawings are fantastic, they suit the story perfectly and show and let the characters' personalities shine.
It made me super curious for the next volume.
I absolutely adored this manga! It perfectly balanced fantasy and plot with humor and character depth in a way which complimented each other.
It was exciting to see all the ghosts, perhaps a bit apooky in some parts, and it was funny when both characters interacted off the job! I'm hoping a romance will blossom 🫶
I will certainly be picking up the other volumes!!
This book was actually pretty good. Not too much happened but I feel like it set up a lot of stuff for the rest of the story and the ending made me interested in seeing what will happen next. I would def recommend this to my friends and people looking for a supernatural quick paced story. I will def be reading the rest of this series as it comes out. I can’t wait to see what happens next!
The manga is about a homeless man who becomes an assistant to a ghost relocation business. In order for the arrangement to work, they have to live together. I enjoyed the main characters and the concept intrigued me, but I found it confusing at times. I wouldn't say I liked the ending with the additional character, and it made me hesitant to continue if he's going to be a permanent fixture.
I quite enjoyed this. I love the whole bad boy vibe is a sucker for his lover trope so this was way up my alley. The main characters were very fun and the art was adorable. Definitely a solid bl romance
I really liked the manga, the supernatural plot it's interesting and they make a good pair, one is calm, sleeps a lot, and doesn't talk much and the other is more expressive and curious. We see as they start getting along and trusting each other.
Bit of a slow start however once I understood the storyline and what was happening I really enjoyed it and cannot wait for Book 2.
This was a fantastic blend of humour and ghost stories. I liked uncovering the mystery of the ghosts with the characters while also watching the snarky replies between the two men. I really enjoyed the protagonist - I was nervous they were going to make him 'adorkable' but they really did a great job in making him fumble a new job without going over the top and making him a walking trope.
I really can't wait for the next one to see where their relationship might take them and who the two new mysterious characters are in the area. Fingers crossed the translation comes out soon!
:D light, fluffy, and cute! our main character needs somewhere to live ASAP, and ends up sharing an apartment with a really cute guy... and ghosts??? he soon is brought into a ghost eviction business.
this is structured around short ghost eviction jobs done by the two main characters. Not much happens, but it's fun to watch them get closer and solve small problems together. I found it sweet and enjoyable :) I was pretty confused at the beginning, but as I understood the artist's style a bit more I settled into reading. I'm definitely looking forward to further volumes!
(thank you to netgalley and the publisher for a free eARC in exchange for my honest review!)
An incredibly funny story. Two boys and ghost hunting.
I have to admit that the first few pages were very creepy with these appearances, but I have to admit that the couple of guys are super cute.
I was so happy to see manga on Netgalley that I requested it immediately and was glad to be approved!
Osuke finds himself on his own with no place to live. While lamenting his poor circumstances, he is approached by a shady real estate agent to live somewhere cheaply. Having no other options, he takes this, only to find out that he has moved into a room with a random, tattooed blonde man. To make matters worse, his room is haunted by a ghost! Turns out that Osuke is a conduit for spirits, and his roommate Nijio is able to evict them to move elsewhere. Now that this has happened, Osuke finds himself employed by the shady real estate agent for ghosts and working with Nijio to relocate these spirits.
This was well drawn, and the story was engaging and funny. I enjoyed the premise and the banter between characters. Each chapter is broken up into a different case for the duo. I hope to read more volumes to see what happens further in their story. It definitely has promise to be a great series!
This was cute. I found the plot kind of jumped around a bit and time progressed a little quickly but I didn't mind it. I loved the progression of their relationship and partnership fighting the demons. It was pretty organic and adorable. I like it a lot! I really want to read more to see how it progresses from here!
Thanks to NetGalley for the free arc in exchange for my honest review.
This was such a nice change of pace, slow burn BL Manga. I loved the details of the ghosts, I love how you snuck in that one character midway to tie everything together. The facial expressions were so cute, I love a grumpy X Sunshine troupe! This is such a cute manga. Cannot wait to see where it goes.
I arc read this through Netgalley and OH MY GOD I LOVE THEM SO MUCH!!
When the boy who scares ghosts away despite his need for their co-operation for his job, meets the boy who attracts any and all ghosts to possess him, it only makes sense that they move in together, right?
The cover art was what originally drew me to it, then the blurb, and then when I started reading it I just completely fell in love with everything about it! The internal colour pages are beautiful, the story and world building are great, and the characters are so interesting!!
I will definitely be buying a physical copy of this upon release and will definitely be continuing the series too!
Do y'all ever look at a title and wonder - why? What was the need for that many words? Because I do. One of mine and my friend's favourite hobbies is actually going to the bookshop and laughing at the translated titles of mangas. (Though I can't find this book's original title anywhere for some reason??? Is it as insane originally?? I doubt that)
Okay, moving on from the title; this was amazing! When Osuke loses his home, a real estate agent appears out of nowhere, offering him a place to live. Convenient - a bit too convenient. Nevertheless, he takes the offer and finds himself with a new hot blonde roommate and turns out that ghosts are real!
(I do have to note the same thing that is mentioned at the end of a book; ghost isn't exactly the right term but there isn't really a better one to translate yokai which refers more to all kind of supernatural creatures.)
So. Real estate agency for ghosts? Love that. My mom and I actually thought about getting into the industry a few years ago when we were both unemployed. We even had fun slogan and everything. I adored seeing our dream become reality in this story.
I feel like we didn't really learn much about the characters in this one, which I am a bit disappointed about. Though, it just means I am even more excited about the next volume. Overall fun and exciting supernatural story with amazing art!
Thank you NetGalley and Kodansha Comics for the ARC!
I wanted to like this so bad. The concept is cool and the drawings are beautiful, but the writing leaves much to be desired. The cases are simple, the leads are boring, and there's nothing compelling about their dynamic. There might be romance later on, but they're just reluctant coworkers right now. The occasional funny moments are not enough to keep me reading.
I'm baffled as to why the editor decides to compare this to FANGS and The Dragon's Betrothed. I've read both and they have drastically different vibes. If anything, this series is more of a spiritual successor to The Night Beyond the Tricornered Window.
Review to come end of June to blog/other places.
I received this one from Netgalley/the publisher in exchange of an honest review.
This manga turned out to be even more fun than I had expected! More spooky/scary even!
Meet Osuke, a guy who just lost his home (his new home at that) and is looking for a new one. If only he knew what he signed up for, haha, when he gets an offer from a strange guy for a cheap living space that looks extra-ordinary beautiful. I am not sure if he knew what was going to come for him he would have signed up! Yes, you all see that cover, it looks like two guys are just having a great time and maybe a dash of ghosts. Well, I would prepare yourself, just like how Osuke would have liked to prepare himself for what is about to come. Because this one gets really scary at times! We don't just meet small fry ghosts, but also various youkai (like a zashiki-warashi, which was a wonderful chapter)! I loved every bit of it! I think the one that terrified me the most was the house with the red stuff and creepy things happening on the phone which escalated to a big nope.
Plus, I loved finding out what Nijio (and the strange real estate dude who is the boss of the operations) is doing and how Osuke is a perfect person for the team. Apparently Nijio (and his boss) clear out buildings of ghosts/youkai and either make them go to heaven/hell (forcibly because they are often ghosts that say no) or offer them new places to stay. And Osuke? Well, he is a magnet for ghosts, his body easily allows them to take him over. And that is perfect if you want to help (or not help if the ghost is really bad) out ghosts. Maybe not entirely perfect for Osuke, but I loved that he got more and more courage as the story continued. I guess it helps that he is slowly falling in love with Nijio + the prospect of a home + money (he does get paid for this).
The romance is not really on the surface yet, there are some small hints, and I do hope that in the next volume(s) there is more of it. I would love to see these two start to date and really work together as a team.
Oh, oh, and I need to know who those two guys were at the end! OMG!
The art was really great! I enjoyed it a lot!
Oh, if there is one thing that didn't entirely click for me, that would be that the story at times felt a bit disconnected. As if I missed panels or bits of the story.
All in all, this is one manga I need more of! Ghost Busters but now with some BL hints + real estate. I would recommend it if you are looking for a fun spooky (at times scary) manga.
Perfect for fans of Shows like Buffy, supernatural or Good Omens.
Monster of the week type storyline, where our two grumpy X sunshine protagonists "evict" ghosts and spirits and find them a new resting place.
The underlying tension and relationship between our two leading men is adorable and raw and keeps the pages turning.
It's humorous and sweet and I am desperately in need of vol. 2
👹 My Noisy Roommate: The Roof Over My Head Comes With Monsters and a Hottie 🥵
🥰 Romantic Comedy BL/Shoujo (Adults)
📚 NEW - Vol 1 coming out June 25, 2024
🙅🏻♀️ No Anime
.
Imagine if Scooby Doo was a BL.
Osuke’s apartment floods and he’s now homeless. He’s presented with a too-good-to-be-true opportunity to stay cheaply in a fancy condo with a hot, mysterious blonde guy as a roommate.
.
Osuke jokes to the landlord, “What’s the catch, is the place haunted or something?” 😅
.
In the middle of the night Osuke is attacked by a Yokai (supernatural spirit) and then rescued by mysterious hottie roommate. Now Osuke is being asked to become an official ghost busting partner to his aloof roommate.
.
Will holding hands while fighting ghosts and kissing each other to bring them back to life cause these two to become more than work partners?? 👀
.
This was one of my favorites that I’ve previewed this year and I’ll be surprised if this doesn’t get an anime adaptation one day. I can’t wait to make all my friends read this too. 💕👹
.
Thanks to #netgalley for the chance to preview #MyNoisyRoommate for free!

This was a fun story about paranormal real estate agents relocating troublesome ghosts.
The art was very nice and I was getting into the swing of their dynamics just as this volume ends. I would have liked a bit more backstory or character development but this is only the first volume. I am curious enough to continue with the series.
Thanks to Netgalley and Kodansha for providing this eARC in exchange for an honest review.
