A really cute and light read ! Found it a tad difficult to get immediately immersed in the first chapter, but the following chapters got me hooked. The pacing is enjoyable, even more so the art and concept of the story. Will be eagerly waiting for the next volume :)

This is a fun light read for people familiar with the concept of yokai ("a broad range of supernatural spirits and creatures from traditional folklore" as explained in the book's translation notes). If you're not familiar with yokai, this isn't a bad way to be introduced to that concept as used in literature. The chapters feel pretty episodic, with the a featured yokai/story arc. While the volume ends with a teaser that hints at two new characters, it has me feeling ambivalent about the second volume. The art is good, so that's another element in its favor. I'm not sure how much it's going to veer into BL territory other than said hottie and exorcism-related hand-holding.

This was cute...definitely giving BL Ghostbuster vibes. Moves quickly, but overall cute book! Would read again

I received an eARC of this title through NetGalley in return for an honest review.

I am obsessed with this manga! Generally speaking, it takes me a couple volumes of a manga to get into a story, but this manga hooks you immediately. Told through vignettes of different jobs the two main characters complete, this story has cute moments and an interesting plot.

I was not expecting this title to be as cute as it is. It's got everything you could want. A tough looking character with a soft heart, a big softy that brings out the best in the tough character, and supernatural beings. What more could you want?

I cannot wait to read the second volume.

I know that tittle is a LOT, but this is shaping up to be a cute and promising series!

The mangaka's art style gripped me immediately -- not only is it beautiful to behold, Ozaki's characters come alive in every frame, either it's their sulky personality or cheerful demeanour, or the angst hidden underneath a curated exterior. I could simply stare at their art all day.

A beautiful paranormal queer romance manga with a brilliant artstyle and fantastic story.

If you're looking for a pageturner, with an actual new paranormal story concept, this is the epitome of it.
The characters are incredibly likeable, the pacing is well thought-out, and the action if amazing.

Highly recommend to any queer paranormal manga lovers.

A cute start to what seems like a gentle BL about monsters and living with your hot coworker. I definitely will be looking out for the second volume, and hope it continues to be lighthearted and easy-to-read as this volume.

Osuke’s rental room floods the day he moves in and he’s forced to find a new place. An opportunity too good to be true turns out to be just that. It comes with a hot roommate, Nijio, and a ghost.

Nijio’s job is to relocate ghosts, but they’re frightened of him. He needs someone to lure them in, and Osuke is perfect for that. The two team up for rather hair-raising jobs. And while they’re at it, they need to share the bed…

This was a good start to a series with great illustratios, but a bit spookier than I expected. Osuke is a fish out of water in the supernatural world and Nijio is cool and aloof. Something is building between them though. I’ll need to read more to see where this leads.

This was interesting and had good pacing. The art was great too! I would be interested in continuing the series :)

Absolutely loved the art, especially the first few pages of the book. The cover is also beautifully drawn!

The book wasn’t cringey at all, which was an initial thought I had. This goes over their relationship which develops overtime and isn’t instant. The ghost aspect was an interesting touch and done well.

I thought the ending was unique and unexpected. The characters are also beautiful and I’m rooting for them in every way!

The story follows Osuke who becomes wrapped in a real-estate youkai relocation scheme with Nijo, our cold toned exorcist and resident hottie. The volume is a bit short with only 3 chapters but sets the dynamic of the two with Osuke, a lonely naive high-school graduate trying to make it on his own, and Nijo, who has his own baggage but opens up slightly with some prodding from helpful spirits.

The youkai we meet are run of the mill, and their resolutions aren't too inventive, so I look forward to seeing how the two main characters interact in following volumes. The art-style is really well done and translation flows well.

Thank you Kodansha and NetGalley for the free eCopy.

Osuke gets flooded out of his new rental apartment on the first day and is met with the offer of a new too-good-to-be-true place by a shady-looking real estate agent. As it turns out, the conditions are basically living with a hot guy and working with him to attract and relocate ghosts and spirits.

Overall, I enjoyed reading this manga and was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the art, both the color and the black and white pages. The characters have good chemistry and seeing how their relationship develops as they face literal Japanese folklore and inner ghosts should be interesting.

Recommended for fans of supernatural BL manga. If you likedThe Night Beyond the Tricornered Window, definitely check this one out.

This title is kinda ridiculous, but the manga itself is so good.
I had a lot of fun reading this, it's probably my favourite of the ones I read recently.
The premise of My Noisy Roommate reminded me of one of my favourite anime - xxxHolic (yes, I had a long break from anime and manga, so my references are from 2010s).
We have Osuke who's always drawing the attention of various yokai and Nijio who's good at repelling them, and together they work on evicting the spirits from various places.
I really liked how they tried to be empathetic and understanding towards yokai and treating violence as the last option. That created some very cute moments.
As for the characters, we don't know much about them, but since it's the first volume I don't mind it. We have enough hints to make us interested and wanting to come back for more.
The same goes for Osuke and Nijio's relationship, we can clearly see their chemistry and I cannot wait to see how their relationship progresses.
I have to admit that I read a lot of comics books (and I'm getting used to read manga again) but I don't really focus much on the art style. I can appreciate it, but I for me the plot is always more important. (that's marvel and dcs fault, their art can be so bad sometimes that you have to focus on the plot to get through) Anyway, I think the art is wonderful and pretty.

Overall, I loved this manga and will be coming back for more.

It was good. I absolutely loved the first few pages of artwork—the pinks and blues were super pretty. I wonder how they ended up printing this manga because the actual story is in black-and-white manga style but more stylized. Anyway, the art was an 11/10. This will definitely be going on my "to add" list for my print collection.

This one surprised me. I thought it would be just a quick, silly read, but I ended up really taking a liking to the plot, characters, and story.

Based on the ridiculous title and description, I thought this was going to have over-the-top cringe comedy, but it was quite toned down from what I expected, which I was thankful for.

Honestly, it was just overall very well done. I could tell a lot of thought and effort went into this. Even the chapters are called "case 1," "case 2," and so on.

I highly recommend this one if you're looking for something that's not super heavy but still has depth and, surprisingly, a few heartfelt moments. I will definitely be keeping an eye out for the next volume.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publishers for the ARC copy in exchange for my honest review~

I've always loved stories that deal with Japanese folklore involving yokai like Natsume Yujinchou, They expose you to the culture while also weaving in a plotline that develops the relationship between the main characters so I knew I would enjoy this when I read the synopsis. Osuke and Nijio don't immediately get along; they are forced to work together to make their work of relocating ghosts go as easily as possible but this first volume was very simple and laidback with its setup. There were however little hints suggesting further development which I'm excited about.

4.5

This manga comes with such a nice but pretty unique way of people meeting each other. imagine you get fired and need a new place to stay only to become part of a ghost resettling agency.
There is so much fun and smiles and laughter within these pages.
I would definitely want to continue reading this series!

The characters are so cute, I already love the main character and I can't wait for the second volume how dare it end like that!!

This was such a delight to read and depending on how the series goes, it might become one of my favorite series and one I will reread a lot!

Ghostbusters but make it BL

Osuke suddenly becomes homeless thanks to his apartment flooding, but thankfully for him a real estate agent approaches him on the street with a solution. He can give him a place to stay but he has to be roommates with a seemingly cold guy named Nijiro. All seems to be going well until Osuke is thrust into a world where the supernatural are real and him and Nijiro have to team up to get rid of spirits.

This was a fantastic first volume! It immediately had my attention from the first page. Osuke is adorable and hilarious and I loved all the banter between him and Nijiro. They are complete opposites and I can’t wait to see everything that develops between them.

Will absolutely be continuing this physically!

First, let me start by saying that I received this ARC in exchange for an honest review. Second, I thoroughly enjoyed this manga. It has been some time since I have read one and I applied for this one because I liked the art on the cover. The dynamic between the two main characters is nice, sorta instant friendship but with undertones of a future relationship. I also enjoyed the supernatural element of this manga. While their partnership was sudden, I was not turned away by it because the writing made it make sense. This is one manga where I would seek out the next book in the series to continue reading their adventures.

Overall, the art work was great! Book one served as laying the foundation and let some hints of a future romance seep in. That may also be wishful thinking because I would love to see it. Five stars to me is perfection but this definitely gets a high 4 stars. It was a great, quick read and I definitely recommend it to those that enjoy the supernatural.

I adored this. It was really sweet and the characters likable. The art is fantastic and you can see the care take. With it in every single page. The plot is good, though a little slow probably because it’s just the first volume.

I absolutely recommend this manga.

Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for the ARC.
