It was overall fine. I didn’t have any issue with the information not being new. I literally knew nothing about Novak before reading this book so it was actually really interesting to read about. I play a lot of tennis so now I know about the professional world a bit more and it even encouraged me to watch pro matches. I just felt it probably could have been like 50-75 pages shorter.

This didn’t live up to my expectations. This is a book that seems to want to do everything, but it doesn’t. I had to force myself to finish.

For something promoted as an inside look at Novak’s mind, it didn’t feel real. It gave off a group text of friends trying to figure out why their partner did something wrong.

I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone who isn’t a Djokovic fan and I would say to take it with a grain of salt.

Thanks to NetGalley for the ARC, and all opinions are my own.

I think a biography should show an objective, holistic view of a person. This one has some neat information about Novak, but the way it’s presented is uninteresting and often feels like a fan blog. If you’re a part of #NoleFam, perhaps this is the book for you. But if you aren’t, I can’t imagine this book will make you care.

This book is a compilation of information culled from the new, newspapers, interviews and so on. The author has also added some commentary and speculation.
If you really want to learn about Novak…this is probably a good place to start if you don’t have much access to the internet.

I did not find much new here for me to learn as I have read a great number of articles About Novak over the years.

Still, an enjoyable read. Thank you to the publisher and to NetGalley for allowing me this ARC.
