I'm a huge fan of Samantha Chase's stories, and "Wanting You" is no exception to that rule. It was wonderful to get to read Chloe's story after reading about her siblings in earlier books.

Where the rest of the family seems to have confidence and passion galore, Chloe's always been a bit smaller by comparison. A kindergarten teacher with a secret online shop, she's never felt the need to be the center of attention. So, when a new kindergarten teacher is added to her school who is a retired professional athlete with the confidence and ego to match, it's not surprising that Tanner unbalances Chloe's equilibrium.

The two of them continue to knock heads until an emergency forces one of them to help the other and the walls come tumbling down between them.

If you enjoy a good friends-to-lovers romance, then you'll want to check out "Wanting You."

Thank you to Samantha Chase, Dreamscape Media and NetGalley for an advance review copy.

I highly recommend reading these in order. It definitely hightens the experience. I boosts familiarization with the family and truly knowing some great backstories.

I'm used to Carly narrating all of Samantha's books, but I'd love for a male narrator to join in! Maybe in a future book!

Like most small town love stories, I thought this was endearing. There where a few times that I wanted to give Tanner the old one two, but he came around in the end.

so cute! I absolutely loved the characters and the plot was easy to figure out. I love when I can predict a book and even though I got most of it, I was able to get a fun surprise! I loved the storyline and the characters. I survived on their banter & every moment between them, even the steamy & dramatic moments!

Samantha Chase so consistently delivers cute small town romances and this one is no exception. It felt like the romance was a bit rushed to me, especially when she flips from hating him to loving him in what felt like a day. Granted, there were some events where he redeemed himself but not nearly that much. For that reason, I consider this one just okay. I, of course, love the small town and find it endearing but the actual plot was a bit of a letdown.

Nothing like a good ‘ol small town, enemies to lovers romance that you can listen to and get work done! Loved the story between Chloe and Tanner, and Chloe was able to put aside her aggression and jealously of Tanner being the new Kindergarten teacher on the block. The narrator, Carly Robins, did a fantastic job of narrating and kept it simple to be able to keep up.
Definitely worth the read or listen!
Spice level is medium.
Thank you to Samantha Chase, Dreamscape Media, and Netgalley for the ALC in exchange for an honest review.

Wanting You is the third book in The Donovans: Sweetbriar Ridge series. It’s an opposites attract, workplace romance.

Tanner and Chloe’s story was a fast paced romance. Instant chemistry despite their individual battles, with all hallmark vibes. I loved the family dynamic and sweet ending.

Carly Robins did another nice job narrating this book and bringing the characters to life.

Thank you to NetGalley and Dreamscape Media for an advanced audio of this book.

Wanting You is the third book in The Donovans: Sweetbriar Ridge series. Our heroine is Chloe Donovan, the best kindergarten teacher in town. As the new school year is set to begin, she finds out that there will be a new kindergarten teacher, Tanner Westyn, a former famous skier who is looking for a grown-up career. While she’s sort of excited to work with someone else as a team, she can’t help but feel threatened. When they finally meet, he somehow manages to undermine her, look like a suck-up, AND make it clear he has no idea what’s going on.

As a teacher myself, I really enjoyed this book. I really liked both the hero and heroine, and totally understood the insecurity that Chloe was feeling with changes happening at school. While I liked them separately, I’m not sure I was 100% convinced of them as a couple, so that’s where it lost a star from me.

Rest assured, if you loved the rest of the series like I did, we did get to see the rest of the Donovan clan again!

The narrator - Carly Robins - A+. I love her and everything she does. The only thing that could have improved it was duo or duet narration.

I just finished another book from the Donovan series. These stories feature wholesome, sweet-hearted people, but there's always plenty of drama. Family conflicts, romantic entanglements, self-acceptance struggles, and anticipation of future partners keep things interesting. I can't help but wonder if there'll be a book focused on the parents of these four siblings. This particular book follows Chloe, a kindergarten teacher who thrives on routine, and Tanner, a new kindergarten teacher who left his professional skiing career to pursue his true passion for teaching. Their clash of competitive and routine-driven natures sparks both anger and budding romance. It's nice to catch up with the other siblings and see how their relationships are developing, and there's even a mention of the spin-off couple. I appreciate that you can pick up any book in the series and not feel lost, thanks to the way things are explained without assuming you've read the previous books. What I love about this book is its wholesomeness. It's full of heartwarming and uplifting moments. The characters grow and learn to better integrate into each other's lives, and the storytelling is engaging and easy to follow.

Returning to Sweetbriar Ridge is one of my favorites! Chloe and Tanner made that even more enjoyable! They were so cute how they went from misunderstanding each others personalities to encouraging the real truths to the surface. I loved that Tanner was a professional skier turned kindergarten teacher. The world needs more male teachers, especially in the elementary school setting.

Another Donovan's story by Samantha Chase.. another win in my book! Though this can be read as a standalone, I'd very much recommend reading all the Donovan stories to meet the extended family and town characters in Sweet Briar Ridge (and her other Donovan series too!) Samantha's writing sucks you right in, and I am already looking forward to her next! Wanting You is Chloe and Tanner's story - an enemies to lovers, small town romance. A must for your summer reading list!
CJ Bloom, as always, narrates wonderfully. When I see that she's reading, it is an instant listen for me.

Thank you to Dreamscape Media and Netgalley for this ALC!

Small town enemies to lovers…sort of

This is book 3 of the Sweetbriar Ridge Series. I had not listened to the first 2 and this was easy to follow and completely enjoyable as a stand-alone book. However, I loved it so much, I picked up the first 2 and can’t wait to listen to them.

This is Chloe and Tanner’s story. Chloe is the younger sibling of a family full of overachievers. She’s found her place as the town’s only kindergarten teacher and an overachiever herself by winning teacher of the year for the last 2 years. She enjoys her simple life, loves her small town and is reluctant to change. Her town is growing and so is her school and the need for more teachers. Enter Tanner, the hunky, cocky former pro alpine skier and now the new kindergarten teacher. He comes from a very competitive environment where he was used to doing things on his own. Chloe is reserved and soft spoken unless it involves Tanner. They clash at every turn in the beginning while trying to deny their attraction to each other.

I loved their story. Both Chloe and Tanner are both a bit misunderstood early on and you are really rooting for them by the end. Chloe blossoms and Tanner is the boyfriend we all wish we had. They really balanced each other out and their journey was so entertaining to get to their HEA. I loved the family dynamic of the Donovan’s and can’t wait to see more from this family and town.

CJ Bloom was stellar as always with her narration. She never disappoints and always brings something special to the stories. I highly recommend it and can’t wait for the next one.

I received a copy of this audiobook from netGalley for a honest review.

Samantha Chase does it again! She makes you fall in love with characters, families and situations. Chloe and Tanner set each other off perfectly and make it through the hard times because they fight for each other once they get over their insecurities. I find Chase's books to be a good, heartwarming love stories.

Wanting You is the third book in "The Donovans: Sweetbriar Ridge" series. This is an opposites attract romance. There is drama, passion, angst. What a rollercoaster ride of emotions. I absolutely loved the banter between Tanner and Chloe. They definitely had an instant connection even when Chloe kept trying to fight it. I couldn't put this book down. I can't wait to see what comes next in this series.

As always Carly Robins did a great job bringing these character and this story to life.

Wanting You is the third book in the Donovans of Sweetbriar Ridge series. (There is a fourth standalone book which fits in this series.) Youngest Donovan Chloe, an awarded kindergarten teacher, is the focus of this novel. Her brother Levi and twin Ashlynn were already featured in the series.

With the recent growth in Sweetbriar Ridge the school is also expanding, adding a new section to each grade level. Chloe has been in contact with the lady who is to be her kindergarten colleague and is excited about all they have planned together. However, in the week or so before school starts Chloe hasn’t been able to get in touch with her. Then, a few days before the new school year begins, Chloe learns the lady has taken a position closer to her family after a family emergency and that her new grade level teammate will be a young man named Tanner Westyn.

Tanner, although having an education degree and teacher certification, has not before taught. His other interest, alpine skiing, took precedence as he figured to do that while young. Going out on top when it became clear to him that the young comers would be a challenge to stay that way, Tanner retired with the exception of doing promotions for ski gear companies. It is now time to return to his first love, although he would have preferred teaching fifth grade. Now his new challenge is to be the best in his field.

When Chloe and Tanner first meet there are fireworks, but not the good kind. Although when Chloe’s mother is seriously injured, Tanner does rise to the occasion helping the family while her mother is in the hospital. Will that be enough to form a bridge, or will their competitive natures be much more difficult to span?

This is another well written story in the Sweetbriar Ridge series. With a well woven plot and a cast of interesting characters, this tale will not disappoint. I did enjoy this book and series and do recommend it.
