An enemies to lovers style story that brings in two overachievers in the most noncompetitive place, kindergarten teachers. I really enjoyed how both characters had to come to conclusions about themselves and how to let others in. There was a balance they found by leaning on each other and how wonderful life could be if you just let go of control a little and allow trust in others.
I listened to the audio of this and really enjoyed how Carly Robins brought the characters to life.

Thank you Dreamscape Media and NetGalley for the audiobook of "Wanting you" by Samantha Chase.

This was my first Samantha Chase book but definitely not my last! I absolute adored the story of Chloe and Tanner. I loved that there was so much personal growth for Chloe in the story and I also enjoyed the sibling relationships I got to experience.

I am an absolute Carly Robins fan and again she delivered with the narration of this audiobook. I love the emotions she conveys with the narration. Amazing read.

5/5 stars! Highly recommend!

Finally, Chloe's story! I was so curious about Chloe. She always seemed like a wallflower who always lived in the shadow of her siblings. In a way, that is exactly who she is. In this story we get to see Chloe really come into her own and fall for the teacher next door.

Tanner and Chloe are both a little self involved. Tanner was a big shot in the ski world and now has to take any teaching job since he can't find one that he wants. Chloe has always lived a certain way in her bubble and doesn't take well to change. These two crash into each other's world and reshape their visions.

This story really shows you how things in our past can really shape the people that we become. Chloe's dad leaving her, even though it was so long ago, really was ingrained in who she became as an adult. Watching her finally break free and really commit to Tanner was a huge sigh of relief!

This story is one in a series. They don't need to be read in order and can be read as a standalone.

I listened to the audio and the narrator did a great job just as she has done with all of the books in the series.

Kindergarten teacher, Chloe, is ready for the new year to start. The town is now large enough to need two classes and Chloe is dismayed when she finds out the new teacher has been replaced with Tanner Westyn. Tanner is a first year teacher and Chloe doesn't like that he is forging his own path.

Tanner is newly retired from a successful career as a competitive skier and is ready to dig right in and be.the best.teacher.at the school.

Great storyline with quite a few twists and turns to keep the reader listening. Carly Robins is an excellent moderator, the kind you look for when you are looking for your next audio book. Samantha Chase is great at.laying out a story and then throwing in situations that add depth to her characters.

Chloe Donovan a young kindergarten teacher who takes pride in her class and her school. She lives in a small town in which her family members also live there and work. This close tight knit group are always there for one another even when a tragic event hits the family.

Tanner Westyn a professional skier who retired and now took a job teaching in the same town as Chloe. He may not have wanted to be a teacher of a kindergarten class, but he took the jobs with expectations of being the best so that he can maybe get his dream job later. Little did he know that Chloe will become more to him then a co-worker.

Tanner and Chloe come from very different lives but somehow, they find this sweet connection with one another and now they must have to figure out if their differences are something they can live with or if it is to much for them to be together. I love the growth that Tanner made throughout the book. He works hard to not only become a team player and focus on everyone and not just himself, but he also doesn't give up easily on the things he loves and enjoys. I really enjoyed Chloe she was realistic and knew what she wants, as well have a calming effect on others. The one thing I noticed is Chloe was not a fighter she wants to fight her desires; she is quick to give up on the difficult things and challenges her and Tanner face. Watching their relationship unfold was heartfelt and breaking.

Wanting You is a cute workplace romance. I loved listening to Tanner and Chloe fall for each other. Tanner is a former pro-athlete with a bit of a need to prove himself. He gets himself into trouble with his drive to be the best, a plus in the competitive skiing word but not so much in an elementary school. Chloe is struggling to come to terms with sharing the kindergarten class, but she is an enthusiastic (perhaps overly so) team player. I did find Chloe to be a bit insufferable at times, but she came around in the end. I am absolutely hooked on Sweetbriar Ridge and the Donovan family and can't wait to check out their stories.

"Everyone Falls. It's the first lesson we teach."

"Change is the only constant in life."

Wanting You, by acclaimed romance author Samantha Chase, is the 3rd book in her The Donovans of Sweetbriar Ridge series. It's a sweet clean small town romance that could easily be a Hallmark romance movie.

Chloe Donovan likes her quiet life as the only Kindergarten teacher at her school. She loves her little cottage and her close knit family. Her world gets too loud, too messy all at once and she finds herself anxious, quick to judge and prone to overreact.

Tanner Westyn has retired from professional skiing choosing to go out on top. He's ready to begin his 5th grade teaching career but has to settle for a Kindergarten class when that's where they need him for the growing town.

Chloe, expecting a female teacher, is thrown off when she meets Tanner. He, however, is intrigued by the pretty petite high strung teacher. Adding to her stress is her mother's car accident which has her usually distant father coming back to town.

The always talented voice actress Carly Robins sets the right balance between Chloe's anxiety, insecurity and determination to be self reliant. She also was subtle but clear about Tanner's competitive nature which is in contrast to Chloe's need for calm.

I appreciate the writer not rushing the romance or the growth that Chloe and Tanner needed for themselves before that could grow their relationship. What we want is not always what we need at the time but we can still want it for when we are ready for it.

I received a free copy of this audiobook from Dreamscape Media via #NetGalley for a fair and honest review. All opinions are my own.

Samantha Chase gives me the warm and fuzzies when I read her work. This book was no different. This was the third book in the Donovan series. It could be read as a stand alone, but the plot and characters interweb so lovely that you'll find yourself wanting to read them all if you start anywhere but at the beginning.
Wanting You is based in a small town. it's an immediate enemies to lovers situation. A teacher that grew up in the town with her brother and two sisters is excited for the new school year until she meets the new kindergarten teacher. He's a Olympic skier who had to retire and start fresh. Due to his popularity no one believes that he would want to be just a teacher. His love for helping kids takes over and he starts fresh. When Chloe's mom finds herself in the hospital her family Tanner saves the day and she starts to have a new respect for the infamous skier.
This book gave me the feels. All the feels. Chase's small town romance brings me back to my small town days. Her characters are lovely and refreshing. They're relatable and the perfect amount of fiction. The storyline comes together so nicely.
I listened to the audio version of this story and the narrator was brilliant. Chase's narrator never lets me down.

10/10 will be recommending.

This series started off strong for me. I absolutely loved ‘Loving You’ and ‘Teasing You’ they were both five-star reads for me. However, ‘Finding You’ I tried but couldn’t get through it and DNF’d at around 35% because I loved the first two books in the series so much I wanted to give this book a chance and although it wasn’t a five-star read, it was still a somewhat enjoyable read for me. Just because some of this series fell short for me doesn’t mean it wasn’t an amazing series. It's just those couple of books weren’t for me I guess. It won’t stop me from picking up another book by the author because she is an amazing storyteller. Some books are just not for everyone.

This was a cute, swoon-worthy read. Chloe has been The Teacher Of The Year for the last two years, however, this year there’s a new kindergarten teacher named Tanner and suddenly she has some competition. This book has a lot of humour, fun banter and cheeky jokes, however, it also holds a lot of depth and is extremely emotionally charged which caught me off guard a little!

The connection and chemistry between Chloe and Tanner were undeniable. I liked these two! They were both very relatable characters with very relatable problems in life. They were funny and their banter was too. All in all, it was an okay read and I do recommend giving it a read!

4 STARS!

Another great listen by author Samantha Chase and narrator Carly Robins. I have to admit it took a little time for me to get to a place where I liked Chloe and Tanner. But I loved their self reflection as well as the family members that encouraged them. Some of those family members had me laughing out loud. Tanner became a favorite book hero of mine. Overall, I really enjoyed this small-town, enemies-to-lovers listen.

Carly Robins is an excellent narrator. She does well with male and female voices! She brought this book to life with an emotional performance. Love her voice.

Thank you NetGalley and Dreamscape Media for the ALC of this audiobook. This is my voluntary and honest review.

I absolutely adore the Donovans! Samantha Chase's work is truly incredible. I avoid giving away spoilers in my reviews because I want readers to experience the joy and sense of belonging I felt. I am loving immersing myself in the Donovan family! From the start I have wanted to get Chloe's story and it did not disappoint!

Chloe is the small town kindergarten teacher who everyone adores. She's has the kindest heart and is the sweetest person to everyone. She loves her job but she wants more in life. She's always felt like the lesser person in her family. Her familiar world is turned upside down when a new kindergarten teacher is introduced. She was expecting someone else but last minute that teacher backed out and Tanner Westyn takes her place. He is a former professional skier and he is very arrogant which rubs Chloe the wrong way in the beginning. But they couldn't fight their attraction for long.

I loved how he brought out Chloe's fire and she was so sassy with him. Even though Tanner has trouble reigning in his arrogance, he really is a nice guy and I love how he slowly shows everyone just how good of a guy he is when he steps up for Chloe during their family emergency. Samantha Chase always does so well of really bringing her characters to life. I could truly feel everything along side them and she had me hooked into their story. This series has been so fun and I am loving the found family aspect of every new character brought into this small town. The Donovan's family dynamic is so fun.

Carly Robbins narrated this story and she, as always, did an amazing job. She does such an awesome job of bring the emotions of the book to life and it's like you are right there with them. I can really picture the characters whenever she is narrating a book and I love that when listening to audiobooks!

Wanting You
Sweetbriar Ridge, Book 3
By: Samantha Chase
Narrated by: Carly Robins

Who knew kindergarten teachers were so competitive? Samantha Chase takes me back to Sweetbriar Ridge where Tanner has come to town. Teaching is what Tanner always wanted to do, and now that his professional ski career has come to a close, he is ready. But he takes that same competitive level to the classroom! Chloe has been teacher of the year for the past two years, and everyone loves her. Showing Tanner the ropes and giving him advice for his classroom came naturally, but when he doesn't take any of it, she knows he is striving for the title. Will their rivalry heat up their hearts along with their careers? I love this story! From the very first, I knew Tanner was going to have a tough time ramping it down, but his style was perfect for his students. Chloe is sweet, and her initial reaction is priceless. This small town romance had my heart singing and almost, and I am saying almost made me want to learn to ski!

Carly Robins continues her narration of this series. She is a favorite, and I know I will get all the feels and the perfect voices when her name is on the bill. She uses her nuances perfectly, creating banter that is growing hot! Loved her portrayal of this story!

I enjoyed the Donovans series by Samantha Chase and am liking this break-off series about their cousins in Sweetbriar Ridge. This third book is about the youngest sister Chloe Donovan. She loves her small town life and her job teaching as a kindergarten teacher. The school hires at the last minute Tanner Westyn as a new kindergarten teacher. Tanner put his teaching career on hold while he competed as a downhill skier. He is very competitive, almost immaturely so. He comes off too cocky and not a team player, but attraction flairs as they work together at the school.

This is low stakes romance. I’m familiar with Chase’s writing style that includes finding love, closed door intimacy, supportive and often funny family interactions and some obstacles to overcome. This story has all of that. This isn’t deep or layered writing but is nice escapism for an afternoon. I like her siblings and seeing where they are in their stories when the next book arrives. I listened to the audio book and enjoyed the narration by Carly Robins. She has narrated other books by Chase and other authors I’ve read. Chase is consistent in her writing and I look forward to her next book.

This was not a book I thought I was going to like in the beginning, but it grew on me. I REALLY didn’t like Tanner (he seemed very arrogant, and like he just thought he should be able to get what he wants, because he wants it). There were also moments where I was struggling with Chloe. What really won me over was the growth these characters experienced throughout. So, if you are willing to stick with it for awhile, you may be pleasantly surprised like I was.

Carly Robbins is an excellent narrator and definitely made this great to listen to.

I received a copy of this book from NetGalley; all opinions are my own.

This was a cute, cheesy small town romance. The two are kindergarten teachers and go from disdain on the FMC’s side to lovers. The stakes are low. Nothing groundbreaking but a nice palate cleanser.

Chloe is an infuriating FMC. Like want to shake some sense into her for a solid portion of the book. We all know (and solidly love) a Chloe - the crisis friend, the trauma dumper, the case study in compartmentalization, the friend who we want so much more for, but especially for them to wish for more for themselves. But lord have mercy, that personality type is a frustrating read for me I have come to learn. I was fist pumping during an intervention-like scene that I wish had come sooner !! Tanner was a decent complement to Chloe, but he had a few missteps for me too. The supporting cast of characters were, as always, wonderful. Did I kind of limp to the finish line? Yes. Did I enjoy it? It may surprise you, but also yes.

First thing’s first: thank you Netgalley for the ALC of this book!
Wanting You was a love story between Chloe, a small town kindergarten teacher, and Tanner, a professional skier turned small town kindergarten teacher.
This book was…not good. Both main characters were weirdly immature and competitive and we jumped from them thinking the other sucked to them being in love SO FAST. Like there was no buildup and no tension to be found, it was just like a switch flipped. But even after they were dating, Chloe was still weird and competitive with him?? She was incredibly immature and annoying the entire book. He was super obsessed with beating her for teacher of the year at the beginning of the book and then just…doesn’t ever mention it ever again. Idk these characters felt super 2-D in the worst ways and the story didn’t feel well thought out. This was not for me.
1.5⭐️ and that’s being generous

I have yet to read a Samantha Chase I didn't love and this book was no exception. Wanting You follows Chloe Donovan Sweetbriar's Kindergarten teacher and town sweetheart and Tanner Westyn, former pro skier. Tanner shows up as the town's new second Kindergarten teacher making Chloe feel insecure.

Chloe and Tanner butt heads IMMEDIATELY. Tanner is just trying so hard and really has that competition mindset in every aspect of his life. Chloe is insecure and doubts everything she has so it puts her on the defensive. I loved reading these two come together and Carly Robins does such a great job bringing these two to life. I highly recommend this series and specifically this book. It is an interconnected book but can be read stand alone if you'd like!

Huge thank you to NetGalley, Samantha Chase and Dreamscape Media for the opportunity to read and review this book. All thoughts are my own.
