Now that Tanner’s career in skiing has come to an end it is time for him to begin the next phase as teacher. Even though the position in Sweetbriar Ridge wasn’t exactly what he was looking for it had the opportunity to become the one he wanted. He was used to being the best as everything, so he plans to bring those skills to the school however he doesn’t make the best first impression on Chloe, the other kindergarten teacher.

When it comes to her students Chloe only wants to give them everything they need, and she loves her job. She enjoys her hometown, thrives on the status quo and is close to her family. Tanner’s appearance in her school and her life has her experiencing new things which is not only exciting but scary as well.

Chloe was content with her life, but everything was uncertain when it came to her family, her career and Tanner as he shows her that sometimes change can be the best thing to happen. Even though it is single narrator she does a wonderful job with both characters and has you experiencing the same emotions that the characters do.

"Wanting You" by Samantha Chase is all about Chloe Donovan getting her moment in the spotlight, and it's such a cute ride. This one's set in Sweet Briar Ridge, where Chloe, who's always been the rock-steady kindergarten teacher, ends up butting heads with Tanner, this hot new teacher who used to be a pro skier. Can you believe it? He's totally stepping into her territory, and the sparks? They fly!

It’s got a bit of that enemies-to-lovers vibe because, of course, they start off on the wrong foot—classic workplace romance drama. They kind of clash over how to run things in the classroom, which is super relatable. But, girl, as they start to get each other, it gets so sweet. There’s a bit of predictability with some of the family drama and romance clichés, but it’s all in good fun. Definitely a pick-me-up kind of book with lots of family feels and a good dash of romance. Perfect for curling up after a long day!

Samantha has done it again! Chloe and Tanner are adorable and their growth and tribulations throughout Wanting You make them both realize what it is they want in life, together. The business adventure they go on was so much fun and I definitely giggled more than once.

Thank you, Dreamscape Media

Wanting You is Chloe's book.
Chloe is a kindergarten teacher and has been named Teacher of the Year for the past two years. Tanner is a retired skier and is wanting to become a 5th grade teacher, but the only opening he can get is for a kindergarten class. I thought this would be a cute enemies to lovers teacher story, but it was... not that.
I really liked Chloe's character in the previous books, so it's no surprise that I liked her less in her own book. In the previous books, she is the calm and collected to Ash's chaos. But in this book, she came across as whiny and immature more often than not, especially when something didn't go her way. She continuously got upset with Tanner because he was doing things his own way instead of her way in the classroom. It made her seem childish. And then the 3rd act breakup was definitely childish. She couldn't even act like an adult during the talk. She played the victim instead of owning up to the fact she made the choices she did and ended up hurting herself. And she didn't listen to Tanner when he was doing everything he could to make sure she wouldn't feel like that again. It was her way or no way. I'm glad Ash was able to talk some sense in to her.
Tanner was a decent guy. His first few POV chapters were rough as he came across as egotistical and rude. But he became a better guy once he toned down on the lone wolf and competitive mindset. By the end I liked him well enough.
While I enjoy the close knit family aspect, I do feel like we got more family scenes than couple scenes in this book, which hindered the romance portions for me.

3.5/5 stars rounded up.

Thank you NetGalley and Dreamscape Media for an audio ARC of this title!

Another sweet romance from the Donovan family, this one with the cousins in Sweet Briar Ridge. The story is so compelling because it is so realistic with the fears, ambitions, anxieties, love, laughter, frustration and every other emotion that takes us through a normal day. The dialogue between the characters is well written so that you feel that you are sitting beside them during the conversations. The narration is wonderful because it adds that spark of life that makes the story feel like you are inside of it rather than reading about it. The narrator does an exceptional job of bringing the emotional aspects of the book to life. The romance is a sweet close proximity with a touch of enemies-to-lovers although it's really more of a bad first impression than true enemies situation. I love these stories as you continue to see favorite characters from across the entire series even when they are not the focus of the book. I can't wait to go back and spend more time in Sweet Briar Ridge!

First of all, at one point in the book, the FMC’s family called her a “whiny crybaby,” and damn, that’s exactly what she is/was. She overdramatized mundane things, like her teacher boyfriend (the MMC) not sharing his kindergarten lesson plans with her, or the same boyfriend being interviewed about his ski career while she… wasn’t? Idk, must be the small town of it all and how she didn’t have anything exciting going on, so she had to create the drama. All I know is that she truly annoyed me.

The MMC wasn’t it for me either. Although he was a hot skier/ski influencer turned kindergarten teacher, his personality was unexciting and felt so obviously dreamed up by a writer.

But what annoyed me more was the fact that this was a closed-door romance and there was no call-out to that in the book’s description or summary. I felt bamboozled!

Spice was non-existent, so rating-wise this one feels like .5/5.

We are back in Sweetbriar Ridge where another of the Donovan siblings finds love when they least expect it.
Until this year, Chloe Donovan was the only kindergarten teacher at the elementary school. A job she loved and one that was perfect for this sweet gal. But things change when an unexpected new kindergarten teacher is hired for the growing population of youngsters.
Tanner Westyn, a famous Alpine skier, knew he always wanted to be a fifth grade teach once he left his skiing career. But the only job available is in another town as a kindergarten teacher. So there he goes for his new teaching job.
To say that the first official meeting between these two was less than stellar, is putting it mildly. But as these two get a chance to know each other, things seem to be going well. That is, until an incident changes it all.
Will they realize that they are meant to be together, or will feelings and fears be the end ?
This was another wonderful audiobook in the series. This author always delivers stories that touch your hearts. Reminding us that families are not perfect , but if you get one that “gets” you, you are very lucky.
Kudos to Carly Robins for bringing the story to life with the narration.
I was entrusted a copy of this audiobook by Netgalley and Dreamscape. The opinions expressed are solely my own.

I loved Tanner and Chloe and their romance 😍 Tanner is new to town and is the other kindergarten teacher with Chloe Donovan and they start off on the wrong foot. Tanner is trying so hard to prove himself to everyone and slowly learns to let others in. I loved the teacher backgrounds being a former teacher myself and you could tell they truly cared about each other. I felt like it was a good background especially since we have seen Chloe in other books.

Completely adorable!! Samantha Chase has done it again, she not only brings to her listeners a storyline that makes them smile, but she made Tanner and Chloe so real that they could be your next door neighbors. Nothing better than a male Kindergarten teacher who just happens to be famous in his own right. Bring him together with a family that we have loved all of their own dysfunctions and you have a wonderful audiobook that will become an instant favorite. Carly Robbins was the perfect narrator!!

I love any book that has to do with the Donovan family - whether they are from NC or VA. As an avid reader of anything written by Samantha Chase, this is just another great story about Chloe Donovan and the newest kindergarten teacher, Tanner Westyn . I could relate to parts of this story because I am also a teacher and Chloe’s thoughts and plans for her classroom are very familiar! I’ve met Chloe in other books, but she takes on being the focal point in this story which gives the reader a much deeper understanding of who she is and how she fits into the rest of the Donovan family clan.

Another fantastic Audio book for part of the Donovans Sweetbriar Ridge. While this book definitely stands on its own, I loved getting glimpses of previous characters

Chloe is definitely the baby of family and trying to come into her own. Tanner, unknowingly, gives her the fighting spirit to learn to hold her own (even if it is directed at him at first). Definitely a fun enemies to lovers, small town, teacher story!

Thanks to NetGalley for this ARC. I know this was third in a series but this is the first one I came across and it’s a sweet and cute fluffy romance between a professional skier, now kindergarten teacher named Tanner and Chloe Donovan who’s also a kindergarten teacher. I found this novel wholesome and funny at times it was just all around fun and cute. The romance wasn’t as deep as I would have liked it and we don’t get too much backstory on the characters and I know what it was trying to give but for me it didn’t quite hit but I liked it so I’m going to read the first in the series and I recommend.

Wanting You is a sweet, quick, small town, enemies to lovers romance.

Samantha Chase’s stories do not disappoint for an easy escapist read. Chloe and Tanner as kindergarten teachers made for a really cute romance. The story was well paced, and I enjoyed following Chloe and Tanner work through their challenges to find person growth and their own HEA.

The narration was great - a relaxing listen with well articulated character voices. I particularly loved the family scenes - it’s not easy to bring so many people to life but the narration really added depth to the chaos and love that is the Donovan family.

Thank you Dreamscape Media and NetGalley for this audiobook. Opinions expressed are my own.

I like the Donovan family. This is a fun series and I've enjoyed each sibling's story so far. The friction between Tanner and Chloe makes for an interesting pairing. Their personalities are different enough to cause some squabbles. These were fun and entertaining. The attraction between them is hard to fight though and I enjoyed seeing how they work out the issues. The book is an easy read that moves along quickly. I look forward to more from this author in this series and others. I received an advance copy from NetGalley and am voluntarily leaving a review.

The third installment of The Donovans: Sweetbriar Ridge can be read without reading the first two books. I didn't have any problems understanding or following the family dynamics even without reading the first two. I have read other books by Samantha Chase, so I was kind of expecting a certain style and story flow, but this was different compared to those I have read before. This had lower spice, tension and had a YA-ish vibes.

Chloe was introduced as a sensible female character at first, but she became immature and sounded immature. Good thing her twin was there to let her know exactly that. On the other hand, I hated the jerk Tanner in the beginning, but good thing that didn't last long. I love that he was willing to improve himself for the better.

The audiobook narrator was good but had me confused at some parts of Tanner's POV.

Thank you NetGalley and Dreamscape for the ALC! All thoughts are my own!

Wanting You is the third book in The Donovans: Sweet Briar Ridge Series. We follow Chloe Donovan.

Chloe has been teacher of the year two years in a row. When a new kindergarten teacher is hired, Chloe is worried she has some competition with Tanner Westyn. She does not expect her world to be shaken up by him.

I thought this was a sweet story. Tanner and Chloe have great banter and chemistry despite starting off on the wrong foot. These two seemed like total opposites in the beginning but along the way they found out they had similarities. I love how they started to get closer the more they opened up to each other. The family dynamics in this series is wonderful. I love how close the Donovan family is with each other!

Carly Robins does a wonderful job bringing this story and characters to life! I am not usually a fan of 3rd person POV for audiobooks but I did not mind this one! I think Carly was good at changing up her voice for each character and brining all the emotions!

What to expect:

Another Donovan story that I absolutely enjoyed! Thank you to Dreamscape Media for the ALC via NetGalley! These are my honest thoughts.

I absolutely adored Chloe and Tanner's story! The idea that these two kindergarten teachers start off as sorta-enemies who are forced to work together was such a fun twist on enemies-to-lovers and workplace romance! It was great to head back to Sweetbriar Ridge, this time with a legit skier amongst the crew. We get glimpses of all the family members, and I can't wait to see who/where Billy takes us in the last book!

Tanner is a classic athlete - competitive and intense. Chloe is the baby of the family, and the youngest to her barely older than her twin sister. This dynamic made the book that much more fun! Watching Tanner be knocked down a few pegs in terms of intensity while also watching Chloe lean more into advocating for herself and using her backbone to stand up for herself was pure perfection. I also loved all of the romantic time these two spent on the mountain together.

This was a good example of learning to love something that your person already loves. Chloe isn't an athlete or coordinated, but she becomes interested in skiing because it matters to Tanner. Chloe also teaches Tanner what it means to have to be there for someone else, to think through what they're feeling and going through to see from their perspective how his actions matter and make others feel.

Samantha Chase is the only author I can listen to in third person. I read the first in this series but not the second. i did not feel like I missed anything. I liked that in this one there was not as much family drama. This was enemies to lovers gold. I believe combined with workplace romance they are done so much better.
