I loved this book so much. I loved that the fmc had a disability because they typically aren’t talked about in books. I loved the whole magic aspect of it too! Draven though at first, I wanted to punch him 😂 the fact that he learned the truth and was still going to burn the book made me so mad. I think Liv should have made him work a little harder for forgiveness but regardless, their love story was adorable. Definitely a cute fall read!
There's potential, fun, but I would have like some more world building. I think the author will surely delivers entertaining story but this one is not my cup of tea
Many thanks to the publisher for this ARC, all opinions are mine
This was such a cozy and cute read. I finished it in about a day. Olivia is a strong, independent single mom and witch, is doing her best to balance life, motherhood, and magic in the small, secret town of Addersfield. Enter Draven James, the mysterious and handsome newcomer who stirs up all kinds of emotions and magic around her. The chemistry between them is undeniable, but of course, there are secrets lurking beneath the surface.
The setting is perfect—a small-town vibe mixed with a touch of magical realism that makes the story feel like a warm hug. Olivia's strength and growth as a character were so relatable, and the romantic tension with Draven had me hooked! The book had a nice balance of heartwarming moments and spice, plus a wonderful supporting cast that adds to the charm. I actually found the single mom aspect to be enjoyable, a lot of romances rarely include single moms.
If you're looking for a cozy, magical romcom with a strong heroine, a bit of mystery, and plenty of charm, this one’s definitely worth picking up!
3.5 ⭐️ this was a fun read. Romance and steam and witchy fun. Perfect for spooky season. Got a little education into Cerebral Palsy and Mexican heritage; the heritage seemed a little over kill. Yes, Olivia likes horchata, it was mentioned soooo much. Draven and Olivia's relationship was super quick and pretty steamy. Him coming to this secret town that no one... but witches know of to search for his mother's past. I feel there may be more to this town and series and hopefully there are more tenants in this town as we only met about 8 characters. Overall, an enjoyable story
This didn’t quite hit the mark for me, but I can see it appealing to others who enjoy small-town magical romances. The disability rep felt authentic and well-integrated into the story. The romance had its moments, but the chemistry wasn’t as strong as I’d hoped. Still, the magical bakery setting and enchanting town added charm.
*Magic in the Air* by Adrianna Schuh is a cozy fall romance with a mix of witchy vibes and spice. The story centers on Olivia, a single mom and baker living in a magical small town, Addersfield. Olivia is also a witch, navigating life with cerebral palsy while raising her son. Things get complicated when Draven, a mysterious journalist, arrives in town. He’s charming but clearly hiding something, and Olivia can’t quite trust him at first, though their connection quickly deepens.
The book does a good job blending magic, romance, and some humor. Olivia’s relationships with her friends and her son stand out, giving the book a fun, cozy feel, while the sparks between her and Draven add a steamy element. However, Draven’s motivations—seeking revenge on the town’s magic—can make the romance feel a bit forced at times, especially considering how fast their relationship escalates.
Overall, *Magic in the Air* is a light, enjoyable read perfect for fall. The town’s magical atmosphere and Olivia’s journey navigating love, disability, and motherhood make for a charming story. While the spice is a bit intense for the overall plot, the book still delivers on the cozy, witchy vibes it promises.
Halloween is not my favorite holiday but this was a fun read. Super cute without too much emphasis on the magic.
This was a quick, cozy fall read, but really did not have much depth to it. the MMC was insufferable and a lot of the dialogue was really cheesy. Had a hard time capturing my interest long enough.
I couldn’t finish this one. DNF at 63%.
It seemed like the books was written for the sex scenes and the plot was added in after that. I just couldn’t finish.
Magic in the Air was an easy and fast read. I enjoyed the magical elements within the story! Also the spice was very nice!
Overall I didn’t love that the main characters were ‘using’ each other at times. That is a personal pet peeve of mine in books and I found that aspect for me to make the book not as enjoyable.
Thank you so much to @authorschuh & @netgally for this advanced copy of this book
This was such a cute and cozy paranormal romance with a bit of spice. It’s the perfect book for spooky season, It gave me once upon a time vibes with how the town was protected by magic, I really liked that whole concept. This was an enjoyable read.
Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Spicy level: 🌶️🌶️🌶️/5
“Magic in the air” by Adrianna Schuh is a bewitching fall themed spicy romance about Olivia Ayala, Single Mom and Baker that also happens to be a very powerful witch, and Draven James, a journalist who appears mysteriously in her small town hidden by magic.
Draven James is swoon worthy and I think he has great chemistry with Olivia. He might be a bit of a dick in the beginning but isn’t everyone? (Lol)
Filled with witty banter and knock your socks off spice I highly recommend this if you’re looking for a fun lighthearted fall read! This also has a FMC with a disability which is few and far between in this genre and I really enjoyed the representation!
I recommend this book if you enjoy witchy small town romance vibes with solid spiciness.
I thought this was very good and I will have to add this to the shop shelves. Thank you for the chance for us to review.

REVIEW
Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for this ARC. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

THINGS I LIKED
1. The FMC, Olivia. She has cerebral palsy and still managed to be an amazing mother and a business owner. I admired her
2. The small town of Addersfield and its occupants
THINGS I DIDN'T LIKE
1. The MMC Draven, the guy, was a huge red flag running around. I disliked him from the beginning to the end. He was a bad son and a brother and decided that attacking other people's magic would erase his guilt and failings. He had no character development. I hated that with all these thoughts, he still talked about how he 'loved' Olivia.
2. I felt like Olivia had forgiven him too easily. There's no way a man would do that to me, and I would still stay with him
3. Draven.

As you can see, I didn't really like this book.
This was such a perfect cost fall romance! I loved the witchy themes. The characters had great chemistry, and I especially loved their witty banter!
This was a fun fall read, but it wasn’t my favorite witchy book. I liked the representation that this story was able to weave into the story, but I found it inconsistently mentioned or involved. The conflict within the MMC was strange to me, and I didn’t feel it was developed enough for me to sympathize with him. I found the connection between the main characters to be sudden and also not developed enough for me to be fully invested in them. But the small town, baking, and casual magic vibes were so cozy for fall.
Thanks to NetGalley and Rising Action Publishing for this ARC!
This was such an amazing fall read and I’m was so happy to find out that it was spicer than I was expecting. This was such an amazing and quick read and I loved the disability rep in it.
Ok this was adorable , i love the whole hidden town and how he goes to find his heritage and fall in love. And I like the FMC as well. Definitely enjoyed. The audio was really good as well
This book had all the ingredients for a cozy, witchy and magic-filled book, but for some reason it fell a little short for me.
Olivia whips up magical creations in her small-town bakery in Addersfield, Rhode Island – a town protected by magic and a sanctuary for witches since 1697. Olivia has created a life for herself and her son, all while navigating the challenges of cerebral palsy. She’s content, but she wishes for someone to share her life with, and when Draven James finds the hidden town, things begin to stir in Olivia. Draven is charming, handsome and mysterious, and just how did he find the town? What secrets does he hide? And could his mysterious past threaten to crumble Olivia’s perfectly constructed life?
I really liked Olivia a lot, as well as her friends. They were fun and quirky and had me chuckling at times. I also enjoyed the charm of the magical town and the disability representation. I think I most struggled with Draven’s character. He seemed underdeveloped, and I struggled with the seriousness of the relationship based on what little interaction Olivia and Draven had.
Overall, I loved the found family aspect and seeing the representation of Olivia’s disability, as well as her Mexican culture. The town was charming and gave fun fall vibes. While this wasn’t my favorite read, I look forward to seeing what the author does next.
Thank you to Adrianna Schuh, Rising Action and NetGalley for an advance e-copy for an honest review.
I didn't love this book. The plot and characters fell short in many ways and felt underdeveloped. However, the cozy vibes were great and there is spice if that's what your looking for.
