ARE YOU KIDDING ME WITH THIS NEW COVER?!! I’m obsessed. This is my absolute favorite series by Tate James! Obsessed with the story line and characters!
a super suspenseful novel. I truly believed that Hades was a bad bitch. I’ve seen in the past female heroine who are portrayed that way but they don’t fully come off that way. I felt like i was semi bored at the beginning, it seemed kind of predictable. The mysterious new dancer that ended up being her sisters age, and occasionally I felt Hades was giving people too many chances when she was supposed to be the big boss. With that, by midway i was super into it. I was KILLED at to be continued at the end - you’ll want to start book 2 IMMEDIATELY! A super good read and would def recommend.
Thank you to Sourcebook Blooms Books and Tate James for a chance to read and review this book.
Now let’s begin with my actual review. This is my third Tate James book. I started reading the Kit Davenport series before I received the arc for this book. I was looking for something different to read (mood reader) and found my was to this book.
With a lot of my reviews, I write them as I am reading the book. It can be chaotic but I’m taking you along for the ride with this book.
Already, I am liking Hades in this book. You have to love a strong FMC that isn’t afraid to fight any challenge on her own. It’s why I liked the dynamic of her with Lucas from the get go. She is the stronger one in the relationship but sometimes you need that kind of relationship to keep her status throughout the book. Especially when you throw in her relationship with Cass and Zed.
I even like her relationship with her sister. You can tell the two love each other and aim to pick at each other. It’s a true sibling dynamic and I am here for it. Anything to balance out Hades and keep her from getting a large head.
At that point I was a third of the way through the book but I quickly finished it shortly after that. It consumed me and I forgot that I was writing this review. I loved this book. The ending made me super glad that I could easily pick up the next book in the series.
And I did.
Loved it and would definitely recommend this!
I read the Madison Kate series in just a few days, so I was really excited to jump into this series. 7th Circle is in the same universe as her her previous series, but you definitely don't need to have read it to enjoy 7th Circle. We do see some familiar faces and names pop up, but besides that, there wasn't really any thing from Madison Kate you need to know.
I have to say, I did like Hades as a main character, since she is portrayed as this kind of bad ass gang leader, but I did find the whole dynamic with Lucas a little weird at time. It did sometimes feel a little icky, and I was a little more interested in Zed and Cass, even though I did feel like they could some backbones at time. Still, I'm looking forward more to see the dynamic evolve with those two then with Lucas.
Overall, it was honestly a fun read. It's the kind of book that I just can devoured in a matter of hours. It was just perfect for me when I was feeling under the weather and just wanted to read something to escape. Definitely reading Anarchy as soon as possible.

“The path back into my good graces was going to be paved with broken glass and jagged rocks.” — 7th Circle (Hades 1) by Tate James
7th Circle had me hooked right from the start when we meet Hades and learn who she is and how bada$$ she is. I love how strong Hades is as a character and how so many people (especially men!) are afraid of her. Tate seriously writes the most amazing female MC’s and Hades is near the top! Hades doesn’t take sh** from anyone and anyone who goes against her or becomes a distraction? They disappear. She’s the leader of the Timberwolves for a reason after all!
The love interests are also great in my opinion! I adore Lucas and his sweetness plus his Magic Mike vibes. I love Zed’s sass and his history with Hades. And I flipping love the possessive protector that is Cassiel Saint like it’s nobodies business! Each person has a unique personality and relationship with Hades and you’re constantly wondering how they will all work/fit together because they’re all so Alpha (which only adds to the heat in this book!)
I freaking loved this book (and literally every book I’ve read by Tate). Tate writes like nothing I’ve ever read and I’m immediately pulled into the story, the characters and then she hits you with a crazy twist or cliffhanger and you just can’t stop reading! The end of this book?! One word: wild! You will be dying for the next in the series, I can assure you that. No one, and I mean no one, writes a cliffhanger quite like Tate!
7th Circle by T. James, published by Bloom Books, is the first book in the Hades Serial. The book ends in a cliffie and contains 4 books.
Hayden aka Hades rules her empire with an iron fist. Her second-in-command and business partner Zed, Lucas the younger entertainer and Max the seasoned soldier are her love interests.
So, there it is, another rh, twisty, scorching hot read by this author, I just couldn't resist.
A fantastic, highly entertaining read, 5 stars.
Love this book and the entire Hades series! If you enjoy a strong FMC, action packed story line, and well written spice, you will enjoy this read! I fell in love with these characters and could not put this down!
I absolutely loved this story!!!! I was hooked from beginning to end and that cliffhanger ending left me wanting more. The suspense in this story was everything!!! As well as the steamy scenes because damn they were HOT. I love Hayden (Hades) and the power, confidence, and take-charge attitude she has, as well as the love she has for her sister Persephone (Seph). Lucas was everything from the moment he sat down on that bar stool. There was just something about him and I felt the same way when it came to Zed. There's just something about the two of them that is just mesmerizing. I feel a little differently about Cass, as he's killing me with the back and forth, but I know that when it happens it will be off the charts. It's not hard to see the chemistry between Hades and the close men in her life. Someone is out for revenge and everyone Hades cares about is at risk including herself. There were definitely some surprises in this story, along with the suspense, revenge, steamy scenes, laugh out loud moments, and more. I don't want to give anything away, because this is a series worth reading, and one I will be recommending. I am excited to read the next book in this series because I'm not even close to getting enough of these characters. I haven't read the Madison Kate series but after reading this book and after finishing this series, I already know those are the books I will be reading next.
I went into this book having not read the Madison Kate series and still had a good time. I don't read a lot of mafia/gangster romance so this was a great quick read. I enjoyed the tough FMC Hayden/Hades and how she runs the gangs with ruthlessness. I actually really enjoyed the mystery part of it and really want to know who is trying to take her down as the leader of the Timberwolves. The RH aspect is fun and it'll be interesting to see how the next books will have Hades deal with her other love interests.
Hades is absolutely AMAZING!
I loved Logan, Cass, and Zed. Tate James is a phenomenal author and living in her world is a gift. I dove into this series shortly after finishing reading MK, and when you immersion read these, it is next level. The audiobooks take a graphic audio approach that is really exciting.
You definitely have to be ready to dive directly into Anarchy because that cliff just shoves you right into your emotions!
I had been waiting to start this spin off series because I absolutely loved the MK books. I was a bit worried at the beginning of this one that it wouldn’t live up to MK and her boys, but by the middle of it I fell in love with these characters and am so happy to be back in Shadow Grove.

Spice: 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️
Tate James does it again! I enjoyed her last series (Madison Kate), and I honestly think I'm going to like this one even better! Hades is such a fun, strong willed and absolute bad*ass of a character who I liked even better than Madison Kate. She brought the perfect blend of sardonic humor, epicness and emotion that made this book such an SLAY read.
“If a gang leader only had one mode of transport, were they even successful? Doubtful.”
I love seeing a story where it's the FMC who's the mafia / gang leader, it just hits different. I also love how Tate James can write a book that is SCORCHING (someone please get me some water, I beg you), but still has a strong plot. There were so many twists and turns, I was literally on the edge of my seat the whole time.
One other thing I love (I know I sound like a broken record, but what isn't there to love about a Tate James book), is that Zed, Cass and Lucas are all so distinct from each other. In RH or why-choose books, I sometimes find that the guys just all blur together / seem like the same person. But the author does a great job of making defined, robust characters who all have their own voice and complicated backstories - not to mention chilling villain's and fleshed out side characters.
ALSO I should have seen this coming.. but the CLIFFY... WHYYYY. *trips over feet running to read the next book*
There is no possible way this author could write something that doesn't suck me in from the get go. I read Madison Kate series first so I was so ready for this spin off. It did not disappoint. Tate James is the queen of cliff hangers for me so I come with a warning....be prepared.
Hades, Lucas, Cass, + Zed
-whychoose romance
-collectors edition harem
-mc club
-one night stand
-bad@ss fmc
this was the first RH i’ve ever read where the guys weren’t besties before all going after the same gal & it is an interesting dynamic to me! tho our little gumdrop is the cutest! & zeddy bear is sure to be delicious! i can’t wait for them to continue on here! that cliffhanger tho was a doozy!!
I’m deeply annoyed that two of the characters are named Hayden and Zayden. I know that’s not what they go by for the majority of the series, but I still hate this.
Hades is the FMC I had hoped for going into the Madison Kate series. I finally got it. She’s a b@d@ss and doesn’t take shit from anyone. She doesn’t just talk a big game. She’s feared and respected because she’s earned it.
I loved Cass in the Madison Kate series and I’m so happy he’s a main character in this one.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5

Thank you to the publisher and Netgalley for this review copy. Decision to read/review was my own. Opinion is my own.
A badass gang leader who’s trying to reform and restructure her gang, a rival leader, her second in command and the new stripper? Obsessed. Hades is everything we need in a FMC and the fact that she took down her family and her creepy ex makes it even better all in the name of protecting herself and her sister. I can’t wait to see where this series goes, with Tate you know it’s going to be a wild ride
This is the first book of four, in the Hades series by Tate James.
I didnt know at the time that I should prob finish the Madison Kate series BEFORE I started this one but I do now!
So stop!!! Finish that series first!
Also, it’s another reverse harem! YASSSS!!!!
This book did have some mysterious suspense moments and a little bit of “whodunnit” vibes but it definitely leaves you wanting more! While it is a why choose romance the FMC doesn’t actually bed more than 1 in this book, but the other men are there and definitely a temptation!!
This book does end on a cliffhanger.. so get ready for book 2!
