Tate James’ *Anarchy* is a fast-paced, thrilling continuation in her "Hades" series that keeps readers on the edge of their seats with its mix of romance, suspense, and gritty action. Known for her bold storytelling, James raises the stakes in *Anarchy*, delivering a dark, tantalizing world filled with intrigue, betrayal, and sizzling chemistry.

The story centers around Hades, the fierce and fearless female protagonist, who is as unapologetic as ever. Hades continues to grow as a character, revealing more layers of vulnerability and complexity beneath her tough exterior. Tate James excels at writing strong heroines, and Hades is no exception. She’s independent, lethal, and refuses to let anyone control her, yet she’s also navigating the intricacies of love and trust in a world filled with danger.

The love interests—part of the reverse harem dynamic—each bring their own unique flavor to the story, creating plenty of steamy tension and emotional conflict. The chemistry is electric, with James expertly balancing the romantic entanglements alongside the gripping plot. Each character’s dynamic with Hades feels authentic, and the tension between them heightens both the romance and the drama.

What makes *Anarchy* particularly gripping is its dark, action-packed storyline. The plot is filled with twists, deception, and high-stakes power plays that keep the reader guessing. James weaves together elements of crime, revenge, and loyalty, creating a gritty underworld where trust is a rare commodity. The fast-paced narrative doesn’t allow for a dull moment, and the cliffhanger ending will leave readers desperate for the next installment.

One of the standout aspects of *Anarchy* is how it delves deeper into the morally gray nature of its characters. No one is wholly good or evil, and the blurred lines between right and wrong add complexity to the story. This adds an edge to the romance, as the characters navigate dangerous alliances and deadly enemies.

However, readers who are new to the series might find it helpful to read the previous books first to fully understand the world-building and the intricate relationships between the characters. While *Anarchy* is filled with action and romance, the sheer number of moving parts can feel overwhelming if you're jumping in without prior knowledge of the series.

In conclusion, *Anarchy* is a wild, dark, and addictive ride that will appeal to fans of reverse harem and dark romance. Tate James delivers a thrilling continuation that’s packed with tension, steam, and plenty of unexpected twists. If you’re looking for a heroine who doesn’t play by the rules and a story that’s as dangerous as it is seductive, *Anarchy* is a must-read.

Anarchy is a why choose romantic suspense and the second book in the Hades Series. I am absolutely loving the way these relationships are developing! The plot is so suspenseful and keeping me constantly trying to play detective and figure things out, which I love. These cliffhanger endings are so damn brutal!!! And that letter at the very end, I can’t wait to read the next book. 4.5⭐️

Tate James delivers another action packed tale, this time with a fierce, no-nonsense, badass heroine who runs her criminal empire with deadly precision. If you like your romance dark, your action relentless, and your heroines unapologetically ruthless, Anarchy is your next obsession!

Five years ago, our FMC took control of the Tri-state Timberwolves and became Hades, ruling her underworld empire with a steel backbone and a commitment to protect her own. Whether it’s safeguarding her little sister or her criminal kingdom, Hades stops at nothing to keep them safe. But now, her past comes creeping back, bringing with it chaos, betrayal, and explosions. Literally.

When an enemy from the shadows dares to blow up her club and threaten her territory, they make one fatal mistake: underestimating Hades. What they don’t realise is she’s willing to tear the world apart to protect what’s hers, and that includes Lucas, a man she claims as fiercely as she claims her throne. Let’s just say, once the gloves come off, the blood won’t stop spilling.

Tate James has created a dark, gritty world where loyalty is everything, and enemies are dealt with in the harshest ways possible. Hades is a refreshing twist on the typical crime boss, smart, sharp-tongued, and unrelenting in her quest for power. She’s the type of anti-heroine you can’t help but root for, even when she’s dishing out brutal vengeance.

Anarchy is packed with twists, turns, and explosive confrontations and a shout worthy cliffhanger ending, that’ll keep you on the edge of your seat. It's got everything: dark romance, intense action, and a badass heroine who proves she’s not someone you mess with. If you’re looking for a book that doesn’t hold back, where the stakes are sky high and the romance as dangerous as the plot, you’ve found it.

One thing’s for sure: you’ll be left eagerly awaiting the next chapter in this wild, thrilling series. Bring on the chaos!

4.5⭐️……… my mouth has been hanging open since I finished this because I can’t get over this cliff hanger.
This was so much better than the first book! I really rooted for Lucas. Zed is still my favorite tho, because the push and pull between him and Hades is exactly what I want in my romances. As for Cass, I have firm belief that he'll redeem himself soon so I'm not worried. The plot took a bit of a back seat in this one but I'm ok with that, considering how much of the characters we got. Excited to pick up the next one!

Loved this so much and to my surprise my favorite of the 3 guys is the baby 18 year old LOL. LUCAS IS SO SWEET.

This book picks up right where the first one ends. Which after that cliffhanger I had to know what happened next! I am so invested with Hades and her gang. The pacing on this I fantastic. The book just keeps on giving! Again we're left with another cliffhanger which I was in tears 🫣 can't wait to read book 3!

Thank you @readbloom, @netgalley, and @tatejamesauthor for the gifted copy.

The second book in the Hades series and with the action picking up from where 7th Circle ended, Tate James what a devious mind you have. If your intention was to have readers suspect everyone, then you succeeded. Throughout my read I kept looking for ulterior motives in each characters’ actions and, just saying, Luca I have my eye on you, you’re just a little too good to be true. For me in Anarchy, Hades was definitely more Hayden showing a slightly more vulnerable side which made her a more likeable character with less hard edges. Perhaps now that things are heating up with her harem, she realises she doesn’t always have to be the dominant one. No matter, I’m sure it wont be long before she’s back to being the complete and utter badass we know and love. After the first book dealt with introducing the characters and world building there was a lot more action in Anarchy, ramping up the suspense and tension as the threats to Hades continued to escalate before culminating in yet another cliffhanger…. well, its only to be expected considering there are four books in this series, and I can’t wait to find out if my suspicions about Lucas are correct

Book 2 in the Hades series. Spicy reverse harem romantic suspense. OMG I love and hate cliffhangers. Fantastic read from Tate James and I'm dying to read the next one!

Tate James is the only author where I will openly welcome books ended In a cliff hanger. Because I will clamor to get the next book in the series. Anarchy is no different. After reading 7th Circle. What I love about this book is that it’s not just spicy or not just plot but the perfect mix of Hades encounters with Lucas, Zed and Cass and fast paced twisty turny plot. I can’t wait to get my hands on the next installment of this series, Club 22 to see what Happens next !

I am so obsessed with this series. I loved the Madison Kate books but think these are even better. Anarchy is book 2 in the HADES series and I just cant get enough of it. If you loved the MK books but want something a bit darker, then you really need to read these.

I loved this continuation in the series! The twists and the turns. There were a few things that I predicted were going to happen, but then there were other things I didn’t know were going to happen! I am stunned. And shook!

This was amazingly written. Fast paced. And I was hooked from the beginning! Definitely recommend, but please read the series in order!

Also thank you to Netgalley, the author, and publisher for the ARC!

This series is absolutely better the second time around. It's less steam than Madison Kate and I think that threw me off the first time I read it. But the suspense and the growth and the story are more. I am in it and am so pleased to be rereading.

Anarchy by Tate James
My rating:
3/5
⭐️⭐️⭐️

This is the second book in the Hades series. It is hard for me to write a detailed review without spoilers but I can say that the end actually shocked me!

Tate James is the queen of plot twist cliff hangers!

The author’s writing style is addictive, but sometimes a little cringey during the spicy scenes. This one was not my favorite compared to the first in the Hades series but still enjoyable. Of course, as this ended on a cliff hanger, I will be diving into the 3rd book soon.

Thank you netgalley and Bloom books for the ARC! This is published today, August 27th, so go read it now!

Anarchy picks up immediately after 7th circle. So if you haven’t already please go read that book first. Tate James really is a savage!! Her complex writing always draws me in and just won’t let tf go!! This book is perfectly named because it is literal anarchy!! The chaotic and emotional rollercoaster this book took me on 😮‍💨😮‍💨
Gumdrop 😂😂😂 really is the perfect nickname for Lucas. Our perfect golden retriever, good boy. Hades will forever be one of my favorite FMC. Her strength is amazing. This book does leave you hanging off a cliff and I REFUSE to accept the ending. Now time to jump into the next book!! This is a must read!! Have I already preordered the physical copies of the entire series?? Yes, yes I have!!

How is Tate James allowed to get away with these cliff hangers all the time?!?! I immediately need to start Club 22 because, despite having read this series before, I need to be reminded of the details of this situation.

James continues to give equal parts plot and spice in this second installation of the Hades series. Anarchy begins right where 7th Circle ended… straight into the resolution of that cliffhanger and right in the midst of all the action. The plot is never-ending, action packed drama that will have you biting your nails throughout.

With the help of Zed, Cass, and Lucas, Hades shows more and more of her humanity which made me like her even more. I still don’t know which of the three guys is my favorite but with all of the drama in this book, my trust issues are becoming very evident.

I am so glad that we got Cass’s letter because the I’m a nosy bitch and the constant references were killing me . I needed to know what he put in there that affected Hades so much.

Now, I’m off to read Club 22 because wtf just happened?!

Anarchy by Tate James is exactly that. ANARCHY. For your heart and soul. Tate James unleashes an explosive combination of suspense, passion and heartache here. The twists were unbelievable. I still don't know who to believe and who to trust. And the last chapter? Well my heart just stopped beating! Hades is more than a MC queen here. You get to see her bada&&ery and her fierceness and ruthlessness but you also get to experience her vulnerability and fears. So she becomes even more real. Her men are possessive and protective and alpha through and through but..sometimes even love hurts.

The second book in a series is always most challenging. First book is all excitement with the characters being introduced and the dynamic being set. Second book is always messy. Things go haywire. Secrets come out. Bonds breaks. New connections are created. Same goes for Anarchy. Lucas is becoming more and more sweet and adorable and charming here but he is also getting more daring and alpha. We also see some intriguing facts coming out about his life and I am not sure if he is as good as Hades thinks. Hades and her second in command aka best friend Zed's relationship saw the most epic change here as he finally expressed his true feelings. The Reapers' president Cassiel Saint isn't far behind. This book is so freaking sexy and filthy and nuclear hot.

But Hades is getting attacked from all the sides. Conspiracy. Mind games. Power plays. Sabotage. And the main puppeteer is out. Her ex fiance Chase Lockhart..killed by her but somehow alive. Someone who tormented her and still does, in her nightmares. Now he wants her back and wants her empire too. What will happen next?

I reviewed an early copy voluntarily

After the ending of 7th Circle I needed to know what was going to happen next. There are more twists and turns in this book and I loved seeing all the connection between Hades, Cass, Lucas, and Zed deepen and develop more.

I love getting more sides of all of them. Hades is still a BA, but throughout this book there is a different side to her that comes out and I love it. I love how each of the guys are different from each other, yet this entire group just balances each other.

This book is book 2 of a series and the must be read in order. This one does end on a cliffhanger and I can’t wait to see where things go next.

If you’re looking for a dark, MC, why choose check this one out.

What is it with Tate and her cliff hangers on the second books… dang. This story is much darker then I was expecting, even darker them MK’s. But what I love is that Hades is still a badass in the face of her trauma. Lucas is such a lover not, Cas is my grumpy sunshine, and Zed my dark and mysterious. I’m scoring for book 3, but also anxious for what Chase is going to put us through.

Man, oh man, this series just keeps getting better and better.

Picking up where the last book left off, Anarchy hits the ground running and never looks back. This story is fast-paced and consuming, and there's never a dull moment.

Filled with delicious tension, sexy good times, action, betrayal, and plot twists you won't see coming, this book delivers in every possible way.

If the ending is any indication, the next installment of this series is going to be one wild ride, and I am here for it! I can't wait to find out what happens next!
