This book was very thorough and informative, but I worry my teens will have trouble staying engaged. It should definitely be purchased for public and high school library collections nevertheless.
Money for Adulting is a very thorough yet accessible text on everything you could want to know about money. There are so many things in here that, as an adult, I was unfortunately not taught and enjoyed learning about. I learned so much more about investing and terms like bonds that I always pretended to know but never really did. This would be a great book for any high school or public library or for any teacher who teaches any career/finance/money related courses. For example, our high school has a course called "Life and Work" that would be a great fit for this text. The way the book is structured makes it incredibly accessible -- if you're looking for information about a topic or term you want to know more about, you can find it easily through the table of contents or the index. At the same time, if you wanted to read the book from cover to cover the book is structured so it builds well. I also appreciated that at the end of each chapter there's a summary about what you were supposed to learn. I do wish it could have been at the beginning of the chapter but I think the end of the chapter acts as a self-check. There are also mini quizzes at times throughout so you can check your knowledge, which is great. Highly recommend!
