Really lovely book for cooking with kids!

This is a great beginner cookbook for cakes and cupcakes for young children. There are pictures of the various tools that might be needed to bake. There are pictures showing the correct way to measure solids, and flours. How to measure liquids and the correct equipment for that. and the recipes are incredible. They look difficult and fancy. They can exercise their creativity through baking. And baking teaches both math and science so this is a great learning experience for families. There are all levels of difficulty so even the youngest can help in the kitchen. I can't wait to try out this book.

Anyone with a young chef in the home will want to pick up Super Simple Baking Cupcakes and Cakes for Young Chefs: Super Simple Baking Cupcakes and Cakes for Young Chefs with all instructions in pictures , a wonderful cookbook by Mia Morsel.

The book starts out with some measuring and other kitchen basics to get kids up to speed. Everything is presented in very colorful illustrations in this section. As the recipes emerge, they are presented with beautiful photographs that take young chefs through the steps. The ingredients are listed first, followed by a photo of the finished product. The steps are easy to follow.

While this cookbook doesn’t have a huge amount of recipes, there are basics that definitely appeal to young bakers. Actually they also appeal to me, and I’m no young baker. I would like to sample In fact, everything, and when helping young bakers complete the mouthwatering dishes, you’ll find yourself sampling everything. Even though the recipes are made for young cooks, they are classic recipes that will appeal to everyone and are a cut above most recipes for younger cooks. In fact, they are even fancier than many mainstream bakers turn out.

All told, this is an excellent cookbook for kids, but those of us who have been baking for years can also learn a few things to help our own baking skills. The recipes are great, and I plan to bake every recipe in the book.

Super cool book for the new baker. The recipes are well written, with step by step pictures. The ingredients are easily accessible. Simple but delicious recipes great to learn the art of baking.

This is the cookbook for amateur bakers ,young bakers and the bakers at heart. Easy to follow ,well written ,well organized it's the perfect gift for the friend that doesn't know how to cook,for the niece and nephew ,for sons and daughters. Loved it!

This short, sweet and simple guide covers basic bakes for young chefs and bakers. With recipes for all sorts of basic bakes, young bakers will have an excellent base for improving their expertise and growing their creativity.

The pictures make the recipes easy to follow and several sounded good. I judged a cupcake baking contest at school and this book would have been super helpful in finding ideas.

We are in love with this cookbook. I was excited to find it as a book for young chefs, but I have learned so much myself from the book. The book is packed with helpful information and is perfect for the beginner chef in your life. I loved that the book had detailed pictures of equipment and things you may need in the kitchen. It took the time to explain things like measuring and ingredients. Then we get to the delicious recipes of treats with amazing mouth-watering photos. You will want to try every single one. Each recipe is so amazingly detailed that everyone can follow the simple step-by-step directions . Ingredients are detailed out for each part of the recipe and step by step photo directions make completing the recipe so easy to do. I love this and what it teaches even me. I received this as an ebook ARC and I couldn’t wait to add it to our home collection. We found some favorites like the Oreo Cupcake and the Nutella Cupcake. Your family will love this book and cooking adventures together.

The book is full of illustrations, with easy to follow instructions. It is great for kids, teens and even adults, with simple and popular recipes

The book has 3 big chapters: Kitchen tools, where the basic tools are presented, as well as how to use measuring tools; a cupcake and a cake chapter, where the ingredients are presented (but only using imperial units), as well as prep, cook and waiting time. The recipes are filled with photos for each step.

Although I don't have children to make these recipes with I do have friends who don't cook much and love simple and easy to follow recipes that work every time. So this is for them. But for me also as I do love to cook and do love those easy recipes too.

This cookbook has all the makings for a great cookbook for anyone as it has easy to follow recipes, measurements in both grams and ounces, it has a section on the tools you need in the kitchen and the recipes sound so good that I can't wait to try them all. And the pictures also add another element to make baking easier as you follow along step by step with the photos to help you see if you are on the right path.

This book makes baking feel like a breeze with its easy-to-follow recipes and colorful illustrations. I loved how it breaks down each step, making it perfect for kids to dive into baking with confidence. Plus, seeing the joy on my little one's face as they mastered each recipe was priceless. •I loved that both cups and oz we're given for the measurements because we don't really use cups in Ireland and I always prefer oz for recipes

I normally would rather have a physical cookbook but I didn't mind having an ebook. I think mainly it was fine because I've been baking for so long. Whether you get the physical or ebook, I think that this is a great cookbook. They have really cute recipes and super easy

The cookbook includes 20 recipes for cupcakes and cakes for young chefs to make. The cookbook begins with a section on kitchen tools with pictures and tips for measuring solid and liquid ingredients, which is useful. Next are the recipes for the cupcakes and cakes. Every recipe includes an ingredient list broken up by component (batter, cream, and topping), prep and cook times, and step-by-step directions with pictures. The directions with pictures are especially helpful for young chefs as they can easily follow along while making cupcakes or cakes. The recipes are simple enough to make, and I know my daughter would love to make the Nutella Cupcake, Oreo Cupcake, Chocolate Cake, and Ice Cream Cake. If you know a young chef that is interested in baking or you yourself are new to baking, this is a great cookbook to start with!

Overall I really like the book. My favourite thing is how the layout is done and how they worked with different colors, which makes it fun to read. The starting off pages are nice, with a little overview over what you'll need for baking and why some stuff is important.
The recipes seem easy to make and the pictures give you a great step by step description and I see how they are very helpful for some people or kids. The only thing I wish that would be nicer are the pictures of the final baked good. They look a bit like my mom took them with her phone and it would've been nice when they'd involved a bit more styling in this point but it's no dealbreaker at all and a great reference picture for how your stuff should turn out!

They most likely will need some adult help but there are a lot of colorful pictures, step by step instructions and helpful tips for measuring and use of kitchen tools. Super Simple Baking Cupcakes and Cakes for Young Chefs is a graphically appealing simple dessert cookbook with recipes aimed at young readers by Mia Morselo. Released 15th May 2024, it's 80 pages and is available in paperback and ebook formats.

It's well photographed throughout in color and written in simple accessible language. The short introduction covers tools and how to use them, through measuring tips and some general kitchen advice.

The bulk of the book is the recipes, divided thematically: cupkakes, and cakes each in their own chapter. Recipes include a title followed by a bullet list of ingredients. Measurements are given in imperial (American) measurements with measured weights (in oz.) in parentheses. No metric equivalents are given. Ingredients will be readily available at any well stocked grocery store in North America (and indeed most will already be available in a moderately well stocked home kitchen). Nutritional information is not provided.

The step by step preparation instructions are easy to follow, and almost all of them have clear, unobstructed photos of each step. There is no index, no background information, and no links or further information.

The recipes are simple and quite basic (chocolate, vanilla, lemon, oreo, blueberry, cheesecake, carrot cake, etc). It might be valuable to have a one-volume go-to book for a young baking enthusiast, but none of the recipes in the book would be difficult to find online.

Four stars. It is quite well illustrated and, as said, would be a good addition for public or school library, or for gift giving/activity with a young family member.

I loved the recipes and are definitely going to try some of them. Especially the Chocolate Cupcake and the Pumpkin Cupcake caught my eye. While the step-by-step guide was very helpful and detailed, I feel that higher quality pictures could have added to the book. Also some of the pictures used at the beginning of the book were not recipes in the book itself (e.g. table of content).

Other than that the book was well written and I definitely took some inspiration for my next baking session.
