This read like a journal of the main character's life. Talk about a making all the wrong choices even with all the best luck. A very interesting read.
A well written story that will keep you reading into the night. It tells of a woman following her dreams.
I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.
This was a great story and I would recommend it to anyone who needs to hear how bad things can get and what life can be like if you don’t get help. There was a lot of Mental health, drug and alcohol abuse in this as well as General health that factored into Sarah’s life and she really just didn’t get the help needed which just made things worse and her to spiral all through out her life. I think this was well written and tastefully done .
this author knows how to tell a story. i was into it at first but by chapter 20 i lost interest in it but finished it anyway. it may be a fave for some people but for me it just didnt peek my interest enough.
The premise of this sorta-cosy mystery is fun. A group of historic plantations used as a front for drug smuggling and distribution. Unfortunately, the story moves so slowly that the reader easily gets bored. The large cast of characters and events also make keeping up the actual story difficult.
This piece would benefit from a ruthless editor.
If you like a heavy dose of historic plantation restoration with your mystery, this is for you.
Plantation Underworld is a thrilling Southern tale that draws you into its world of secrets and intrigue from the very first page. Author Elisa B. Danz crafts a rich narrative that keeps you on the edge of your seat as Sara navigates the treacherous waters of plantation life while trying to outrun her past. I was captivated by the atmospheric setting and the complex web of relationships woven throughout the story. Reading this book was like taking a journey into the heart of the South, filled with mystery, betrayal, and ultimately, redemption.
